Doc is my favorite character simply because of his asshole-ish charm. A former boy adventurer that's witnessed all this paranormal and extraordinary stuff and has grown numb to it all. He's the kind of character we need to see more of in movies and TV shows.

I think Rusty was cloned only ONCE since he lost one kidney as a young child when he threw himself on a fake grenade (he was pierced by the "BANG" flag) and his second kidney was stolen in Tijuana in the episode "Dia de los Dangerous."

Or that was just the last time he was cloned. Or Jonas in his infinite cruelty removed a kidney from every single Rusty clone slug for the sake of "continuity"

Though Dia De Los Dangerous suggested he lost it through organ harvesting, since he says "not again"

Dr venture is alot of the things you mentioned, but he is also a survivor. In the crazy world of the venture bros, he has faced everything and survived (not only though his own survival skills, but also surrounding himself with people who care enough, despite his many flaws).

Venture Bro's, the show for people who never wanted to grow up, but have to admit that somewheres along the way they did. Fuck but I love this show.

Rusty’s one of my favorite characters in The Venture Bros. He’s compelling in a similar way to Bojack Horseman: He’s a bastard who does horrible things, but you understand how his trauma shaped who he is, and you kind of root for him to grow as a person and become a decent human being.

I wonder if what Dr. Orpheus did inside of Dr. Venture’s head changed him or un-screwed-him-up slightly. He seemed different than before the episode “Assisted Suicide.”

I love the pivot to individual characters with the episodes having run their course. The movie may be due soon, but as long we have channels like yours around the discussion can probably go another few centuries

He is the perfect men for the situation he is in. He has perfectly adapted unlike the people surround in him that die by the venture hurricane of chaos.

I LOVE this series! Totally didn’t expect to see an Arrested Development callback, but you made a great point with it, and made it fit really well into the video. Keep up the great work, dude

long quote, but i like the way Steak Bentley put it in The Venture Bros. and failure:
"the man, the myth, the absolute dirtbag. you couldn't ask for a better leading man! by that i mean you couldn't ask for a worse leading man
unsuccessful, self-obsessed, sick of his life and yet somehow oozing with an incredibly watchable anti-charisma.
[...] you get to empathize with Doc in spite of what a bastard he is, in part because he's so goddamn impotent.
when jonas manipulates and seduces women it's completely scummy. when doc tries to, you just feel bad for him. it's never gonna work and deep down he knows that.
[...] i think that's a great example of how failure can improve your view of someone. you get the sense he doesn't really know why he's doing it. he doesn't know why he's doing anything.
but you can also empathize with rusty because whenever you get the slightest peek behind the curtain he does genuinely want to be the paragon of progress you expect from the venture name.
[...] for everything telling him that he's supposed to be a hero, there's just as much of him that screams villain, because they come from the same place
[...] [referring to when killinger presents him with the idea of being a villain] doc has the whole thing laid out in front of him, this role is here for you, waiting for you to claim it.
you have your nemesis, you have your means. you can do this and you would be good at it.
and doc can look at all of that and say 'yeah... but i don't wanna be evil...'
[...] that's the great thing about him. sometimes being disillusioned just means you can see through the whole thing. [...] choosing to be a villain means [...] relinquishing the premise that you could ever do better. and that's not who doc is.
    he's a scumbag but he's a grown up.
[...] even in a show with brilliant characters, old pros and actual supermen, rusty is the adult.
and adults don't put on a rubber mask and terrorize people just because it's fun. because that would be fucking silly.
Jonas realized all of this too, but to him it was a joke. to him it meant being above everyone. Rusty can't be above everyone so he has to meet them at eye level.
part of the bitterness of growing up is realizing that we're all just children who got old.
no one really knows what they're doing and when you come to terms with that you can either look down on people, or you can show them the respect that everyone deserves."

Did Rusty have another child somewhere? You know after Dean and Henk where killed by 21.
Rusty was settling down with a young woman whom was caring his child until Brock took him back in the first episode of season 2.
As for the the how many times he died stick i will go with 4 as his first encounter with Killier.
Rusty was surrounded by four death versions of himself.
If so the names give a hint how he died
Fear: Rusty was abbanoned to safe Seniors skin
Self Loathing: would but it beyond his father to kill him in a fit of jealousy with what don't know most populiar in the rusty show?
Stinking Tinkin: (while likely standing for dirty thouths) he take that having one eye is the time IT WAS TODAY as Actionman's gun did bang instead of click
Dilly Dallying : Rusty died of neglet
