You can start from the top or bottom. You’re just covering the cake with icing. she starts from the top and works her way down as she rolls the cake around.
The cake is fabulous. I also love the peach/coral walls against the stainless steel. Nice balance & departure from all the grey and white everyone is doing.

Insane amount of work, materials, ingredients. There’s a point where simply the taste of what you’re making overrides the investment put into presentation. I’d rather make a simple strawberry cake with plenty strawberries (unlike this one with that little bit of strawberry jam). ALL that time and ALL that frosting and ALL those bowls, spatulas, and pans just because we/she “CAN”?!!! Nah! Besides, I do love frosting but the amount here is crazy!!
