Actually, he had the money for Anne's execution come from Elizabeth's household. 2 year old Elizabeth funded her mother's execution. Now THAT'S heartless.
MedivalGlitter Well, Jane Seymour was never officially crowned because an outbreak of plague delayed her coronation, then she got pregnant and gave birth, and then she died...
moby D She was a legit Queen. King Henry annulled his marriage to Queen Catherine. He then married Anne who was later crowned Queen. Only three years later her marriage to King Henry was annulled and then was beheaded on charges which people today find very unconvincing. But she was Queen.
Henry might have been playing tennis when she was beheaded, playing the tough rough king, but I'm sure the pain was excruciating within his heart, he loved her deeply and childly.
It's not the fact that she was the ONLY successful one, as you seem to think that was what cathunt99 meant, but she was the MOST successful. Her reign wasn't called the Golden Age for nothing.
heyy now, Elizabeth is famous for alot also being the last of the tudors, but she is not the "most famous", her grandfather, her father, her mother, her fathers first born daughter, granted Mary was know for being "bloody Mary" but, heck u gotta be sorry for both Mary and Liz. Sorry but no Liz is not the only most successful heir!!
Quinntus79 Many executioners took great pride in their work, a sloppy execution was a disgrace. But in the medieval days the executioner usually was just a criminal who got promoted. Common folk was beheaded with an axe, but rich folk got to be beheaded with a sword. It's not easy beheading people clean and sharp, people tend to dislike being beheaded. They twitch. Therefore they sometimes get the axe through the skull or shoulders instead. magasinetparagraf.se/system/html/DosmaskStor-45175208.png
neonvalkyrie I thought the only reason Anne got the sword was because she begged Henry for it (since it was the French way and she grew up in France). Her cousin/Henry's fifth wife got the axe after Henry found out about her affair
Audrey van der Meij Anne got the sword because Henry showed "mercy" for her and wanted it to be a clean stroke. Anne didn't ask for it. However, it is true that everything was planned as to order the swordmaster you needed more time and he did it before trial...
Jason Railson I very much doubt that he was desperate to land a son & was a womanizer in his time the only wives he truely loved were either Jane Seymour because she gave him a boy & was the obediant wife or Catherine who was his first love. Anne was just as power hungry as he was

I love their Henry VIII character. I wish the Henry VIII Diet Plan video was still up.
VEGETABLES ARE FOR PEASANTS
It was recently reposted
Funny how HH TV is reporting on Anne's execution without doing any coverage of the event as it happens.
I wish that guy would have been the one who played Henry in the tudor series :P
Anyone notice Henry drawing a finger across the neck when he said "Are you absolutely sure"?
I love how they played greens levees in the background
Sleeves ?
today is the anniversary of anne's execution rest in peace anne
She wasn't a legitimate Queen, why one should celebrate her? One should remember instead Queen Catherine of Aragon...
yes let's celebrate katherine of aragon on the day that anne boleyn died for sure (i'm sure /all/ of them but aoc were coronated sooo)

+Audrey van der Meij yes all accusations have been proved false. watch the tutors. its not 100% accurate but it's very interesting
When that reporter lady was propositioned to be wife number 4 by Henry, she should have screamed and ran!
I physically scrunch up when he puts his arm around her... yeeeesh!
Just love Henry in this

Yes. Having someone killed is the ultimate sign of love?
Henry was incapable of loving anyone except himself.
do you fancy being queen for a little bit
Hmmmm Ben yes Henry No

Awesome! There goes my weekend!!! Haha!
yes it is ! You can find it on the dvd of season 2, or I'm sure someone must have uploaded the whole episode on youtube :)
(season 2, episode 11)
Tennis was actually invented in Victorian England. At least that's what I learned in a documentary.
Modern tennis was. The original sport, known as real tennis, has been around since before the Tudors.
Alicia Coburg Ah, it makes sense now. I was confused because some bits of info were clashing.
Henry the VIII did choose to burn Anne Boleyn at the stake but changed it to beheading.

Do you know if its available all in one video?
Is that greensleeves in the background?

Great video, but I thought Executioner's swords weren't supposed to be sharp. Just big and heavy.

Well if you had an affair under Henry's nose, I suppose you would be happy he didn't bludgeon you to death.

Lizette Drusila Flores Delgado The tour guides at the Tower of London said that yes it was "mercy" but Anne also had begged for it instead of the axe

Didn't he also have a multitude of mistresses?
Wasn't Henry hunting, not playing tennis?
You know, i think the answer was yes, I'm not sure tho, can we have it once more for emphasis?!?! XD
