My fave NYE ever! We walked in a bit after 11.30pm after a bit of a wait... Headed straight to the Ferris wheel for some reason. Lined up, got on, and suddenly the Ferris wheel slowed down and it seemed like the crowd had stopped walking beneath us. We were confused (things were kicking in!). Many poured out of the sheds, gathering with the crowd below. The Ferris wheel slowed to a complete stop and we were at the very top!! Watched the party count down and sat back to watch a 360° view of ALL the fireworks going off across the entirety of Melbourne's sky east, west, north and south 🎇 INCREDIBLE experience!! Never really cared much for NYE since - can't really top that... 🎉
Wish I was there, looks like an amazing party! The Djs just look so young lol. Love old rave footage...phat pants and candy clothes, dont see those anymore. Cant forget the Melbourne shuffle either ! :)

The Docklands was the most amazing place for raves, so close yet a world of their own. I still remember Welcome 2000. What a night.

The government put a stop to the rave seen didn't like wasted people roaming the streets at 7am . The music is still alive and shuffling.

NYE 2005/06
It was called Mobile Home the beach was totally packed.
There was Y2KO at the Royal Exhibition building same night in Melbs too, Luke Slater, Space DJz etc etc. Spoilt for choice.
