  • Hi there all you 251 wonderful Subscribers, and visitors to my Rorquals RUclips Channel.
This is the third instalment of my exploration series using the Earthquaker Devises Data Corrupter pedal. Previously I've created big synth tones and drum and bass noise using this crazy arsed pedal. This time I wanted to see if I could restrain its brutality and create something a little more ambient by making an effects pedal feedback loop.
As you can hear in the video, even with the assistance of some amazing ambient pedals (Chase Bliss Mood, Afterneath reverb, Flashback delay), it was impossible to tame the beast!! I did however, manage to create some real dark ambience, with elements of noise and industrial music thrown into the mix. Some definite ambient drones going on, but as soon as you tweak anything on this pedal the whole thing can change sound and vibe in a nano second! Fun as always though.
The improvised jam I recorded was about 20 minutes long, this video is an edited down version of the best bits that came out of that - I hope you enjoy it! Again, a big thanks to my mate Russ for lending me the DC pedal, and if this is your first time at my channel, please give the video a 'Like' and hit the 'Subscribe' button.
As always, thanks so much for the support, Rob.

How do you like the Data Corrupter? I just got one and am fairly impressed with phase locked loop tech so far.

I borrowed this one from a pal for a few weeks to try out. I really enjoyed it for experimenting with but I reckon it'd take some serious time to tame it. It's a bit of a wild beast, but you can get some amazing sounds out of it that's for sure! Cheers for checking the video out 😊

Send those to me. I’d like to monkey around with those and really tear up my Microfreak outputs! 😄🤪🤯💥😄😄
