- Close to a hundred titles were added to our Blu-ray collection since last year; so let's dive into our video library and take a look at our Blu-ray collection, as of January 2021!
Steelbooks, classic movies, family favorites, horror collections, import movies (yay, J-Dramas!), 3D Blu-rays, TV series on Blu-ray, Twilight Times releases, Warner Archive releases, big Jackie Chan and Marylin Monroe collections....it's all here! Hundreds of releases in this section of our movie collection library.

That's a pretty awsome Blu-ray collection. I definitely don't have nearly as many Blu-rays. In fact, my DVD and VHS collections are alot bigger than my Blu-ray collection is. And that's just because for the longest time DVD was cheaper than Blu-ray, so I was able to get five or six DVDs at a time, whereas I could only get one or two Blu-rays at a time. And obviously VHS is the cheapest of the three formats.
Same. I'd say our Blu-ray collection (as far as size) is right around tied for 3rd with LaserDisc, VHS 2nd, DVD 1rst by a longshot.
@@StefanHomberger Yeah and I think that's just because more movies have been put out on DVD than they have on Blu-ray and so collectors can't completely shift over to Blu-ray. Especially when it comes to older TV shows.
Yeah, TV is one category where Blu-ray is extremely lacking. We have around 100 different TV shows on DVD, and almost all of them are not on Blu-ray.
Even for shows that are on Blu-ray, we mostly (aside from Star Trek) get the entire show on DVD, and maybe a few select favorite seasons on Blu-ray.
@@StefanHomberger Exactly. The vast majority of my TV show collection is on DVD but I have a few select seasons of shows on Blu-ray because they were birthday or Christmas presents and that's what was available when whoever got them for me bought them. And that's a total of three shows. Seasons 4, 5 and 8 of Arrow, seasons 2 and 3 of Glee, and the first season of current Doctor Who. The rest of my TV show collection is on DVD. And it also comes down to which format people have available at their booths at garage sales, geek markets and conventions too, and most of those were DVDs rather than Blu-rays.

And we share the same favourite Jackie Chan movie The Legend of the Drunken Master I can watch that one over and over again that one rules

We'll have an updated video at the end of the year. Lots of new additions to that collection in particular since this video was filmed.
