    your rigs are awesome. I notice everyone is running dobinsons. What springs is the gold FJ80 running? I'm looking into the 3 inch progressive dobinsons & 35s but after watching this a bump to 37s seems in order. thanks for the videos

    i want Info on that maroon 80 series suspension setup please!!!!

    • @AussieFourWheelers
      @AussieFourWheelers  7 лет назад +1

      +James Ramsden Don't worry about +Ron F and his theory on spring retainers. He's partially right about the suspension though. It runs Superior Engineering shocks with custom billet extenders, superflex radius arms, RRO rear control arms, 6" Dobinsons coils. Hope this answers your queries.
      BTW, custom coil retainers were made and fitted after this trip.

    • @AussieFourWheelers
      @AussieFourWheelers  7 лет назад +2

      +Ron F Coil retainers go on the bottom. Drop out cones go up the top. On the fronts where you have a bump stop inside the coil, you extend the bump stop to suit your setup and design it in a way to hold the coil in, i.e. the coil slides back into place. The coil is loose up the top, but held in by the retainer at the bottom.

    • @AussieFourWheelers
      @AussieFourWheelers  7 лет назад +3

      James Ramsden _"I want info on that maroon 80 series suspension setup please"_ - you got your answer as per question asked. If you can read, the lift size has been stated already in the response!!!!! You mentioned no tyres ffs... am I supposed to read your mind???... you could've just asked what lift and tyre size... ffs

    In America it's incredibly hard to find 80 series and even more difficult to find parts for them. You Australians know your rigs. Do you know of any good aftermarket companies that ship to the US? Also plan on moving to Australia within the next year or so, loved the culture, land, and women *wink*wink*.
