You're welcome 😊 Thanks for watching 👍
your rigs are awesome. I notice everyone is running dobinsons. What springs is the gold FJ80 running? I'm looking into the 3 inch progressive dobinsons & 35s but after watching this a bump to 37s seems in order. thanks for the videos
Thanks mate 👍 Glad you enjoy the videos 😊 The gold Cruiser is also running Dobinsons in 6 inch.
Nissan the best
Nice one guys. Me and Stefan did it a couple of weeks back. We thought not that technical but a definite mind fuck....
Thanks mate. This was a day before you guys tackled it. Yeah, you wouldn't wanna lose drive while up it.
You guys should come to Coffs harbour
Amazing how much grip those big tyres provide
They are an awesome tyre.
have you's done the Killy Loop?
Yeah we have: ruclips.net/video/wPNhGAtQbXU/видео.html
Hope you like it.
i want Info on that maroon 80 series suspension setup please!!!!
+James Ramsden Don't worry about +Ron F and his theory on spring retainers. He's partially right about the suspension though. It runs Superior Engineering shocks with custom billet extenders, superflex radius arms, RRO rear control arms, 6" Dobinsons coils. Hope this answers your queries.
BTW, custom coil retainers were made and fitted after this trip.
+Ron F Coil retainers go on the bottom. Drop out cones go up the top. On the fronts where you have a bump stop inside the coil, you extend the bump stop to suit your setup and design it in a way to hold the coil in, i.e. the coil slides back into place. The coil is loose up the top, but held in by the retainer at the bottom.
James Ramsden _"I want info on that maroon 80 series suspension setup please"_ - you got your answer as per question asked. If you can read, the lift size has been stated already in the response!!!!! You mentioned no tyres ffs... am I supposed to read your mind???... you could've just asked what lift and tyre size... ffs
Was that initial commentary certified? It sure sounded like it 😂😂😂
HAHAHAHA 😂
Hi, a good video, I wonder if you have 5.13 major pairs?
Thanks bud 👍 4.625 plus crawlers.
How big are the Tyers on thr red 80?
37s
OMG I thought at 1.53 he was going to go turtle. I had to go wee after that one. I can imagine what went through the mind, and those undies, of the driver.
HAHAHA 😂 You're so funny 😂😂😂
ha, everybody starting to get those big tires with beadlocks now? you should get a kickback from them tire/rim companies :)
Haha 😂
looking good, does this trail have a name (on maps)?
Nah, no name on the maps.
Hahaha. You can hear the Bell Miners.
Yeah 😂 lol. You recognise them now. So many people asking about them, didn't know they weren't common elsewhere. Not sure if they're native.
is that a bird making that eerie chiming noise in the background in some scenes?
Yes, those are Bell Birds 🐦🐤🐥
wow that's cool. I love birds. Need to make it to Australia!
Welcome.
In America it's incredibly hard to find 80 series and even more difficult to find parts for them. You Australians know your rigs. Do you know of any good aftermarket companies that ship to the US? Also plan on moving to Australia within the next year or so, loved the culture, land, and women *wink*wink*.
HAHAHA 😂 Give us a yell when you do 😉 Not sure who ships over there though.
Pretty soon the whole crew will be running 40s...
HAHAHA 😂 True... the way things are going.
go the 80
I could walk up that faster
No you can't 😛
