I need to investigate Patti Smith’s discography, Steve. Because The Night Is probably the only song that I know from her.

Horses is the album everyone will tell you to check out. Oddly enough I think I bought my copy in Chicago at an Exchange which is chain I’ve heard you talk about a lot. We don’t have them in my neck of the woods. Wish we did.

@@STEVEHEROLD yep, the only bad thing about The Exchange is that they put a lot of their stuff behind glass and somebody has to unlock the case for you in order to look at anything.

Hi Steve! I saw Sugar in Vancouver on their first tour. It still ranks as the loudest concert I ever attended. I only have Patti Smith's album Easter. Hope your travels are going smoothly!

Most of my Bowie cds are on the Rykodisc label & my Big Star / Chris Bell. The label used the profits to sign Sugar & Throwing Muses & Morphine.

interesting inside info. when i worked at broadway video in mid 2000s we did a lot of video work for Ryko. Worked on a big Bill Hicks package they were releasing at the time. Cool label. Not even sure, are they still around?

Nice digs you have on James Island in South Carolina. I know very little about Radio Ethiopia and only heard it a few times back in the 70s, Horses and Easter are still my favorite records of hers. I'm not familiar with Sugar but I'm a fan of Bob Mould and Husker Du. Armenia In The Sky is definitely worth checking out.

surprised you arent familiar with Sugar. The first record at the very least I would think would’ve crossed your path. Yeh digs here are cool. I just started another show here. we call it double dippin’. So in another week i’ll be relocating to a new apartment but still on James Island.

Radio Ethiopia was a bit of a disappointment following Horses. Still an interesting listen. Jt’s a great guy!

That's my least favorite of her first four classic albums - but Ask The Angels, Pumping (My Heart) and Pissing In A River are incredible. Enjoy. Can't wait for you to get product placement fees...lol
