Looks ideal for our club to have on hand for those wanting to try Compound . Great price & plenty of adjustability, colour choices, etc , to cater for all ages . Might see what we can do Steven.

great for beginners, like you buy a starter driver an old car they are going to destroy anyway.

An ambidextrous version would be the ultimate for a club - shame they didn't think of that when designing this bow

What does a machined riser do for my shooting, or a more advanced cam system? If I bought a bow like that why would I need to upgrade?

I shoot recurve barebow at the moment and this has got me interested in compound bow. Thanks for sharing.

I think it will bite the ass of western brands in very short time. Yes, in USA most of compound bows and archery movers around hunting, and that drives that market. But here in Europe archery is way smaller and archery hunting is a niche (in some countries as UK is not even legal). So most of archery here starts in clubs, and at the begining you wield a beginner recurve with wood riser and non ILF limbs for a couple of months. Then you will purchase your first bow, which for recurves could be a cheap entry level set for 100-200 €, or maybe a White Feather wood riser or a entry livel riser from Winners, SF or an affordable Korean or Chinese model. Then, when you're confy and you see progress is when people jumps to Gillo, W&W, Hoyt and expensive stuff.
But for compounts there's no entry level from western brands, unless you purchase a second hand bow or a crapy hunting bow. My first compound was a PSE Supra Focus which cost ~930 € around five years ago (now is ~1200 €), and now the Lazer is the cheap one (which is more expensive than the Supra a lustrum ago). My next one was a Remedy for 3D wich cost me ~1050 €. But now I'm seing people buying target componds from Topoint ~750 €, and those are their high end target models. People which want to start with unexpensive compounds will move en masse towards chinese brands. Then when they jump to higher end models will ask themselves "why would I pay 1500+ € for a Hoyt, Mathews, Bowtech or Elite bow when I can have the same results at half of the price from an asian brand?"
American brands are sometimes fearful of tarnishing their image delivering entry level products: "I'm Mathews and I sell Ferraris so my entry level is Mission", "I'm Bowtech and I sell Lambos so my entry brand is Diamond", and even then their entry level bows are oftenly quite compromised. So they will keep the hunting and premium market in their country, but target sales will suffer, and overseas they will be losing share since out there the target market is larger asian brand have a broader production. In the end it will happen as in the bycicle market in which 95% of the chasis in carbon fiber are made in China not due cost but because they have more advanced products. And talking about carbon fiber, see what's happening with the marker of arrow shafts...

The only american brand that is doing anything for the budget and beginner archer is Bear. Period. That's it. Just them. Everyone else is either ignoring that market, or offering dumber down, purposely inferior products because they are afraid of undermining their premium brands.

I really liked my beginner Bear bow (Cruzer G2). I'm saving it to teach my kids in a couple of years.

It took a long time for bow manufacturers to finally make adjusting draw length and let-off easier and without a bow press. I hope they will take your advice and start making bows with more adjustable draw weights. I'd like to see 15 to 20 lbs at the very least. Your advice is sound and more companies should listen !!

what are your bow sight and arrow rest on this bow ? Or what would you recommend for target ?

Keen to see you kit one out with a sight, stabilisers and rest and see how you score... Looks a great bit of kit and upgradable for the beginner

He forgot to say that kitting out to reach the 290 points mark would more than double the price of this bow. However, this looks an awesome product and exactly what clubs could invest in to help the recurve/compound transition and decision making. Great video. Thanks

I’d be keen for him to build the cheapest Full Target Compound he can and then see his scores
Given what’s out there from China ATM, I reckon you could deck this thing out for sub $600

You should do a review on the Bear Cruzer G3. Similar adjustability on draw length and weight. That's the bow that I got started with, found out I liked the sport, and now I shot an Elite Rezult 36. 😂

Nailed it. We miss the mark here in the US. As you know it is all about hunting bows here. Ask to see target bows and it is like the old picante sauce commercial...get a rope.

    In the UK...
    Bow hunting is illegal.
We dont need camo bows. If fact camo, TieDye, denim etc isnt allowed at ArcheryGB competitions.
    We need nice coloured bows.
The issue we have in the UK is.... Its impossible to get Topoint bow parts, so yeah its a cheap bow as long as you dont dryfire and nothing breaks.
I still love my PSE StingerX setup. I can still use it and out shoot many folks with expensive bows.
You cannot buy points, but you can have all the gear, have no idea and miss with style..
I dont practice much, I simply dont have the spare time.. Matt Stutzman can out shoot me in his sleep and he doesnt have any arms. :-)

If it's being marketed as a target bow, IMO, if they don't have limb stops, beginners (especially) will struggle with the consistent anchor point required for target archery. Those look remarkably similar to Mission bow cams, to me.

Buying one of these for my son (age 32 and just starting archery) as they do a target bow package with the sight, rest, stabilizers, etc, I was also looking at the hero x8 but this seemed better being as it had all the right gear in the package and 36" as opposed to 30" so thankyou for doing this review.

Love your content sir. Good showing on this bow. Hard to believe this bow looks this good and is this cheap. I'm going to look under the more section of this video, in the hopes you have it listed under your store. I wouldn't mind ordering one from you, I don't mind the wait time for shipping to the states either. Seriously, thank you for sharing and hoping I can support your store in some way. Love you brother, God Bless you guys out that way.

a gensis is close to indestructible; which is why we use them as club bows.. but if we had all topoints; i'm sure they'd not last anywhere near as long.
