I am old school still like the classic dummy gages not the new digital read out,to me it’s just one more headache that can really hurt you down the road.but I am really like what Buick is designing lately and it’s starting to appeal to the young generation.the reliability quality of the brand is going up.I hope the brand can hold on here in the U.S markets only time will tell.
I have a 2018 encore..I just put on 140,000 before replacing the engine. Got a new engine with 20,000 miles on it and I cannot complain about this car, my 18 at least.
It's far from impressive. It's sad and undignified really in the US. China is the only reason it still exists. Buick outlived it's expiry date somewhere in the early 80's when it became just another GM clone.
They’re one of the few true luxury brands left. Everyone else makes sports cars with leather seats. Even the SUVs have to be “sporty” now. So the market is basically 16 year olds and people in midlife crisis I guess. That doesn’t help my back and neck.
Greetings from southern Ontario Canada I really enjoyed the video looking forward to seeing this crossover here the ST trim is considered the mid model and my favorite especially when the 1.3 3 cylinder engine has included the 9spd auto
Buicks are a hidden gem. People have such uneducated things to say about them. Like the same people that speak on Korean cars. As Korean cars are good quality today, Buick is not for old people. Time to move on…
It's a considerable failure on Buick to continue pushing their anemic engine that comes stock with this model. Under 40 mph, it's got the pep but that torque ends quickly and it finds itself quickly running out of breath getting to merge speeds. It's why after 2 years of ownership, I finally walked away from my own Encore. The performance is horrible. My wife's Ford Escape eats this for breakfast and after driving it, made my following time spent with the Encore an ever increasing disappointment. Buick needs to up their game if they want to compete in this market because nearly every other manufacturer for this type of mini SUV are leaving them in the dust. In this day and age, it takes more than good looks for someone to want to commit to the kind of payments these vehicles are now commanding.
I can appreciate what your saying, but I came from a GMC Terrain, which is beyond underpowered. To me, the encore is leaps ahead of the Terrain in terms of pep. My Encore complaint is the narrow front seats and random brake noise when backing up and pressing peddle.
I like how GM has been getting a lot of their design inspiration from the Koreans- the Blazer takes a lot from the Venue & this looks like the old Kona except way uglier 😬😂
This looks great, nice refresh. Good to have lower price options on the market with the average car costing so much
This dude was born for this job. I care nothing about the Encore GX but his presentation skills kept me captivated for the entire video.

Great review, very honest straight to the point 👍
do you think on 23 buick cars encore gx you can get the 1,3 motor for 400 more may be you can in the 2024 do u think ita a better engine
Impressive Buick still exists to be honest.
Only because Buick is popular in China for some weird reason.

@@christhornycroft3686 That’s a joke right?
Front seats are very narrow. Anyone over 200 pounds will have an issue.
not really
Love the new badge
Thanks for this great and helpful review!
Love the front lights
Isn't this the best selling Buick in the US ?
Like buick's new logo 👌

It looks like a FORD Escape.
I would get this if it was coming out sooner, super cool. Nice review :)
Avenir version looks plush, but I'd opt for a CX-5 TBH
This is the first time the pre refresh design looks better than the refresh. This looks too much like a Ford now.
Wow, Buick really blew it with a 1.2 liter engine.

To be honest the front kind of reminds me of the current Hyundai Kona!
Nice 👍
That’s not a mid cycle refresh… that’s a new car… that’s def enough changes to be a new model
Give us a hybrid option!
As a long time Buick owner, I am disappointed. If I wanted a Ford or Honda grill I would buy one. Buick! What are you thinking?
The old face was so much better looking than this generic amalgamation.
I wish the split headlight and huge mostly blocked out grill fad will go away. 🤦🏼♂️
That's a big boy
Looks way way better. Still think GM should have killed Buick and kept Pontiac.
I was hoping that those squinty running lights were gone forever with the 2018 Jeep Cherokee.
Seems underpowered
Power train is trash.

Yawn
When did you drive one of these?

Looks like a Ford Escape. Not very attractive
Warm garbage
Those cars are hot garbage
