Hi everyone! Thanks so much for watching this tutorial on adding text to a single path or a shape! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Please let me know, as well, if you have any suggestions for tutorials you would like to see here on my channel! Happy Creating!
Wow, you just saved me time and effort. I have always created two identical circles in which to add my top and bottom text. Learning that I simply hit the return at the end of the top line is exciting! I love that I can still align both top/bottom text independently and easily center both. Thanks for the eye opening tip here.
I will check it out Going from ai and photoshop pc , but not paying monthly ,I use to use procreate ,now I’m at affinity, talk about a gumball machine of learning 😂 thank you gain ,great work 👍❤️
Thank you! And thank you for bringing up your font. It's a go to of mine so thank YOU for creating it. I usually post credit and the link to them in my description and I accidentally left it off. All fixed! Thanks so much for the reminder. :)
I only have text in the icon you clicked ,nothing that says bae line to adjust inside or out of a circle 🤬 so done for today ,frustrated , sorry but great work 👍
I'm so sorry you're frustrated! If you're on the most recent version of V2 for iPad, when you click on the Text Studio (not the artistic text tool but rather the text studio) you should see a spot where you can click a right caret next to Bold, Italic, Underline and Strikethrough. Once you click the caret, you will see more options and want to choose Positioning. Baseline should show there. Make sure you're on the most recent update of the app though because, for some reason, that disappeared for a bit, up until recently, even when you clicked through the path I provided above. This has now been updated. If you are on the most recent version, and followed the paths I mentioned above, but still don't see it, I would go to Serif's forums and provide a screen shot, letting them know you're not finding it but are on the most recent version. Again, I'm so sorry you're frustrated. I truly appreciate you watching!
Hey Tracey! thank you for this detailed and useful tutorial. I'm about to start my POD journey on Merch By Amazon and I want to learn how to make designs for my t-shirt using Affinity Designer. Is the $69 version offer enough? or do I need to get the $164 one?
You're very welcome! Thank you for watching! If all you want is Designer for desktop, the $69 version is just fine. If you also want the iPad version, you would need to purchase that separately. The $164 version is all three of the Affinity apps (Designer, Photo and Publisher) on both desktop and iPad, so there is a cost savings, if you plan to use anything beyond Designer for desktop. Ultimately, which license you choose is dependent upon how much you want to spend and what you plan to use. (in other words, if you don't plan to use the iPad version, or Photo and Publisher, the Universal License gives you well more than you need) I hope this helps!
@@Tracey-CreatorCollage Thank you for your answer. I don't need the iPad thing. I need it to make designs for my Amazon Merch business and I'm designing on desktop. So you think the $69 version is enough for that objective?
Hi Betty! You would do it the same way the single line is turned in to a text path (shown in the beginning of the video where I cover the basics). Make sure the circle is selected, engage your artistic text tool then tap somewhere on the circle. That will convert it to a text path. If you have any questions about the above, please don’t hesitate to ask! Thank you for watching!

I do not understand how you are turning circle into text path? Is there a botton you click?
