You speak so naturally, I have watched so many denture wearers you are the one who looks most natural. I have watched all of your videos you have your forever smile now!
Literally crying right now!! I always took good care of my teeth and my dentist was always commenting on my smile. A few things out of my control happened and my teeth became my worse nightmare. I don’t even want to smile! It’s mortifying! I can’t afford implants, I’m so traumatized by the thought of my teeth being pulled and having dentures. Your video is giving me SO much hope! Your teeth are beautiful and I just want to eat food and smile again without feeling ashamed! I’ve had three infections where my whole face blows up. Heaven help me! Anyway, thank you SO much for this! I’m looking forward to smiling! I’m scared but it will be worth it!!!
tyree bruce Think about coming to Serbia, here you can get it fixed for 4-5 less money, the equal quality. You are being ripped off in the US. Check the websites.
I got my first partial when I was seventeen. Had never been to a dentist in my life, but I was so excited. I got four front teeth out, and a partial denture the same day. I don’t remember why pain at al, but from the moment the denture was placed in my mouth I was so happy. I could not stop smiling. That was the best, happiest day in my life to that point😁
Dentures have gotten so good now. Even the cheaper versions. You cannot tell if someone has dentures or real teeth anymore. So many people that you see with ‘perfect teeth’ for all you know they aren’t real at all. I would NEVER be able to tell you have dentures. I would just think you have great teeth.
Ernest Andujo im scared.. bc everyone knows me and would know i did something.. just scares me to death.. looks are all we have when we face the world.
Ernest Andujo --------aweeee U R such a sweetie! your girlfriend is lucky to have U! I hope I find a man like you someday who will love me with or without teeth and eventually gray hair lol..😂😂😂
Thank you for this video. I’ve needed all my teeth pulled since I was 19. I am now almost 38. The hard part I feel is the constant internal struggle. Constantly beating myself up and feeling like a monster. However the more videos I watch like yours I see that I am not alone in this, and I’m not a monster. Thank you once again. 😊
In the same boat as you. My teeth started messing up (majorly) in my teens. Got them all fixed at 17. By about 26 or 27, pretty much didn't have teeth. Have had all of about 3 1/2 teeth in my mouth for 10+ yrs now... I go in for extractions and immediates in about 25 hrs. Quite nervous (the shots, the pulling, the swelling, being able to talk, being able to eat... not so much the pain).
People who cant "afford" it because their country offers virtually no help, I pray for you. I live in the Netherlands where kids are fully insured, adults have the option of (extra) insurance, and if not, dentists will workup a payment plan, so u get care you need and are not left suffering... but its cheaper, too. 2 dentures cost under €500!!
Hi thanks for your courage and for making the denture issue seem not the end of the world. In fact, if you have had problems, it's almost a relief to have the worry of which tooth is going to need a root canal next, gone. Thank you your positivity is contagious!
I'm a dental asst. so glad that you could share that dentures are not always a bad way to go. thank you and good luck to you. keep on sharing. Chrissy Englert
Yes!! My grandma had dentures at 17 and my mom at 30. I'm 35 and have spent thousands of dollars. Now I'm looking at a partial because I have root canals that were messed up years ago. I've tried so hard to keep my teeth
Kitty Kat that's what happened to me but I still can't get my mouth fix and get everything I need done, I had one surgery to get 8 teeth pulled bc I had no choice and we got a loan but dentist r so expensive it's so hard for people to go UPDATE- so I thought I wld never be saying this but I’m getting my surgery tomorrow to get the rest of my teeth pulled which is 18 teeth and getting dentures the same day, all of it is 3000 dollars for every5ong dentures and it comes with a package where every apt is payed for bc u have to go in the date after the surgery and once a mnth, I cnt believe I’m finally getting this surgery def nervous though! This is all happening at affordable dentures that’s the place I’m going to is called, their doing my mold tomorrow then I have to wait cple hrs them I go into surgery and come out with my temporary dentures! They do it all the same day! And the place I’m going to their so nice!
Me to just had my top teeth pulled n next week in having the bottom pulled I got 6 teeth on bottom to pull. I just want this pain over n have nice smile bak. I used to have a Colgate smile but what a u gonna due. I'm excited to get my new teeth..😀
Thank you for being so candid. I currently have a partial but I know I'm headed towards dentures. You truly have relieved my mind. Thank you again. Excellent video.
Just found your channel-im getting top dentures in 3 days and you have answered a lot of questions. And made me less anxious about what to expect. Thank you so much!
Just broke the root on a front tooth and freeking out. I think I might need to go the denture route. You made me much more at ease with the idea. You're beautiful - you have truly lucky husband. Love how real you are. Much good energy to you - thank you!
Im there where you were when you got your first dentures. So your helping a lot. Thanks. Oh im 65 this week in 8 days my rotten teeth are going bye bye.
I'm in phase one of getting dentures. I just had 12 teeth pulled yesterday and I'm going back in 2 weeks for the rest to be pulled and get my dentures. I've been super nervous, but after seeing your videos you have taken a huge weight of anxiety off my shoulders. thank you!! I can only hope that mine look as great as yours!
OMG I FINALLY FOUND PEOPLE THAT ARE GOING THROUGH WHAT IM GOING THROUGH ANYWAYS SINCE I WAS 6YRS OLD I HAD BEEN AT THE DENTIST. IM A 47 YR OLD WOMAN JUST A WEEK I HAD ALL OF MY FRONT TEEDLTH EXTRACTED I WAS EMOTIONALLY WRECKED CRYI.G LIKE A BABY I HAVE IMPLANTS AND MY MOUTH IS FULL OF PARTIALS AND PIECES OF CROWNS IM JUST SICK AND TIRED OF TRYING TO EAT AND SMILE CONFRONTABLY IM TIRED OF COVERING MY MOUTH EGERYTIME I LAUGH OR SMILE . THANKU SO MUCH FOR THE ENCOURAGEMENT.
Hi Eric. You posted about the terrible time that you are having with your dentures. Well I am writing to you now 5 years later to find out how you are going with your dentures now. Hope that you can get back to me, and tell us all here how you are coping with your dentures now 5 years later. See you later from Bob
Wow your situation and mine are very similar.I just had my last 12 bottom teeth pulled two days ago. Can't wait to get mine.Yours look amazing! Hope mine turn out that good...
I'm so not nervous after watching. I had my extractions done 4 weeks ago and I couldn't afford temporary. In 4 more weeks I get my real false teeth. I am comforted to know that I'm not the only young person doing this. Thank you
Thank-you for your inspirational video :-) .You made me feel a whole lot better about getting my dentures in the coming months!!And I'm glad to hear you had your family there for help as do I.
We do share the same thoughts lady. My mouth is in debt. Thank God I got dentures for my self. Watching your videos are very helpful when I just got my dentures. I wanted to get implants if I could afford them, but it's just too costly here in Malaysia.
Thanks so much for this video. I'm at the beginning stages of dealing with this choice. One of the best things about this video is good you look with great teeth. It really jacks with your self esteem when your teeth are bad.
Thank you so much for your information and comments, they really helped me to come to a conclusion about which direction I took. The only part that really wasn't fun was the root canal, and one of the extractions which the tooth broke and had to be removed in pieces. My teeth are small, but I have a huge jaw that's bones are like concrete so it was kind of a special case. I am going to take care of this work like crazy as I don't want to repeat it! Thanks for your videos they really helped me
Honestly, your dentures here look amazing. Just seems like you have great teeth. I'm encouraged and glad to see others with similar experiences. I'm still a little bit taken aback by the cost of it all but I also haven't liked my smile for close to 30 years. Also, good on your parents for helping. Some would not.
Some dentists do temporary dentures while some prefer you wait. When you leave with temporaries, you typically end up having to get more relines and then have to pay to get them replaced between 6 months and a year. So it costs more and the fit isn't as good, but you never go without teeth. Getting them the way you did costs less, ensures a better fit, but you have to go without teeth.
Some of y'all want to know too much about her business. Don't worry about who should have helped, stop worrying about the clothing on the bed, not your business.Watch the video if you are interested in the journey. BTW it is the responsibility of the parent to ensure that their children have the dental care they need as children. All teeth are not created equally. Brushing alone is not enough. For you people that don't think the parent is responsible for their children's teeth while under age, are you taking your children in for dental care? Act like you have some home training and just watch the darn video. Thanks for Sharing your video, very informative
My wife and I had 5 kids We couldn't take them all to the dentist Only the ones that had to go The oldest and my younger daughter needed braces but we couldn't afford it But my kids worked hard on their education and military So when they became adults they did for themselves what we couldn't They didn't come back to us and say "hey because you weren't perfect parents and give me everything I wanted and needed you still owe me this" You take what your parents could do for you and build on that It's called being a responsible adult But hey they were dumb enough not to tell her to kick rocks then thats on them Also when you put yourself out there like this Then you make you and your business our business It's the price of being a """celebrity""" Don't want us in your business getcha face of ma screen sorry Not that I'll follow her She's obviously a bibmbo and a quasi drug addict which is prolly what happened to her teeth to begin with
jimbob bodein why would u say something like that how do u know she is on drugs your just assuming she was tell me one person who brushes there teeth every day who don’t have bad teeth there are a lot of people who have bad teeth bc of there parents Genetics including me and I brushed every day and went to all my dentist appointments
good teeth, bad teeth, great teeth or lack of teeth does not define a person whatsoever, unfortunately some people are ignorant and assume if you wear dentures, have a few "bad" teeth etc that you don't take care of yourself. obviously that is not always the case. you are more beautiful than most people I have seen with perfect teeth! Also, the average person would never be able to tell you have them. God bless and you and your smile are beautiful xo
Thank u for this video.. my fiance and I finally made our appt to start our process of dentures.. I wanted us to do this together so we had to wait for him to get insurance. But I'm super excited and anxious... I had beautiful teeth up until about 3 yrs ago and they just got so bad and I'm so tired of tooth aches and painful chewing and abcesses etc. I'm so ready for this to be over and done with and then we can finally plan our wedding bc I was NOT having pictures of our beautiful wedding without teeth or bad looking teeth. I'm so so so anxious. August second cannot come fast enough. Wish us luck. Thanks again for this video ...this is what I needed to watch.. my father in law literally just got his dentures days ago and I asked him about start to finish, pain scale, what they do at each visit . But I still need to hear it from others like you. He's so happy with his dentures and they look so good and real. He hasn't had teeth at all for over ten years. So he's getting used to them, but we were waiting to see how his turned out before we made our appts with his dentist.
I have NO choice but to get upper dentures but am VERY reluctent to do so, Thank you for sharing your experience... Im making my appointment tomorrow :) ... I just PRAY they look as awesome as yours!
Thank you kindly for the info. I am terrified but it must be done. I go in nx week for impressions. I wanted implant dentures but 40,000 is very expensive for this retire woman living on one income. You convinced me to settle on the immediate denture.
Thank you for making this video, I am in the same boat as you were with my teeth and am in the beginnings of working out the best and cheapest way to fix them, which I have always figured would be dentures. I turn 40 in a few days time and I am lucky that my parents have insisted that I get my teeth fixed and they will pay for it all, simply because when I was young they didn't have the money to get braces etc and they feel bad about it. I am grateful but also feel funny because I am an adult now and it's something I should be responsible for, not my parents but I do also understand their guilt as parents (I'm a parent of 4 myself). Your teeth look great for temps, I can only hope my journey is great too. Thanks again for this very informative video, it has helped me a lot.
I'm 9 days post op and have to say it's been quite a journey so far! I'm still having some pain from them not fitting right, but it's getting fixed the 18th. I just wanted to say thank you so much for your videos!
James, It's not that bad being awake for the removal of your teeth....just had 8 pulled on Tuesday..today is 1 week later and the only pain I'm feeling is from the upper denture rubbing and causing a sore spot. I was really nervous about being awake for this but once the dentist had me all numbed up and I also had laughing gas, which helps a lot...it won't of mattered if they used a jack hammer to remove the teeth. I was all worked up over what I thought was the end of the world. You'll be fine
🙋🏼First off...You look good with the brown hair. And Bless your heart. I love how brutally honest you are telling your story. I'm so happy to see everyone has turned out good for you and you look Absolutely Beautiful!!!! 💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞 Oh and You really talk well for the camera. 🎥
Thanks for your videos, they helped me. I just went through my 16 extractions, and it's been 5 days, each day is better. I went to "Affordable Dentures" (although I would have loved implants but could never afford that!!!) Couldn't even afford "Affordable Dentures", thank goodness for my mom, so I got the best plan they had. So far, so good. It hurt, VERY traumatic (still), but totally necessary, but they look good, but not as good as yours. Thanks again!
I really liked your videos. It really has helped me so far. I have just had my upper dentures and a partial on bottom Thursday morning. Still sore. Needing to know what to expect. Not really swollen much.
You know I understand manutius, he's in that place right now. When I was told by a dentist 2 years ago that I need dentures it was a shock, I went in for one sore tooth and when the dentist told me I needed dentures I cried and cried then got angry, and then I dumped the dentist and called him a *(^&)( (not to his face lol). 2 years later I have come around and you know what?! After all of the *PAIN* I have been through I have come to acceptance, even excitement. He's in the grief trough I think
Your videos has helped me thru my process .. I'm on day 9 of healing.. Didn't get immediate dentures. My dentist suggested against it. But your videos has helped me so much through this process ❤
...you mention that your husband h as never seen you without teeth...how did you manage that with dentures...I am about to get full uppers...and I am concerned about that...I am getting the temporary with the ultimate end being implant upper arch... I was also really worried that my natural teeth woul break off...
I understand your comments about thinking of a whole mouth of implants - and I guess we would probably all wish to have these if we could - BUT, it is worth mentioning, that many people's mouths are not suitable for implants. After thinking I would have implants and seeing the xrays, the dentists said implants were next to impossible for me.
omg.. seriously .. everything you have talked about is everything im going through.... "dentures are worse case scenario".... you look great btw!.... the only thing about me that i cant stand are my teeth and i overly obsess over searching on ways to make them look better and natural!! .. i went through snap on smile.. it only screwed them up more!! but like everything .. they are temporary.. 3 years goes fast! .and now they are broken apart and stained... i need a better solution!!! and you have really opened my eyes and changed my thoughs on what im looking for... i just want a nice smile..
I just got dentures and my biggest worry is eating with them. I don't have implants but I've heard many stories of people choking eating with dentures.
Hi Kalinjax I live in Australia and we have a Medicare system that every citizen pays a small amount into to cover medical costs. I had an appointment with the government dentists to have all my upper teeth removed and a set of dentures made. The first appointment only cost 47.00 Australian dollars. The second visit to have all my upper teeth removed still only cost me 47.00 Australian dollars. I waited for 3 months for my gums to shrink and then I had my denture made. The denture plus 2 more visits to adjust the denture only cost me 280.00 Australian dollars.
That’s true, that’s what they do in some other countries; They pay an allotted amount of money and everyone has the same costs for dental care and medical care costs also, I know that I have a friend in Sweden and they also have Medical and Dental care for everyone ( the same costs for everyone and they pay a percentage of their paychecks or something so that this is possible for their country and I think it’s an amazing idea.) No two countries are exactly the same & just because the person was able to get teeth removed and for that cost, that’s amazing for them, I believe it bc I know that in Sweden they have a similar setup for medical care and Dental care. It’s really too bad that there’s nothing like that here in the United States bc My husband has paid for Dental insurance for 11 years and we have a big family so it helped a little but nothing compared to what the cost was for what wasn’t covered and he lost his job in July 2018 and we have 9 children between the two of us that we have had to put through braces, and dental work through the years and still have 3 children 10,8,& 6 years old... and listening to this woman’s story on another video last night , literally I could have told that story verbatim and it was exactly the same thing that happened to me, I had no idea that pregnancy was destroying my teeth ( the enamel was already so broken and my mouth was so sensitive and it just happened exactly the way hers did.) I am happy that this young woman was able to get her teeth fixed and get her smile and confidence back and that she’s using her own story to help others to educate them and show them how to get through this situation the way that she has done and she has been an amazing help to me with so much information and the strangest thing is that we both are from Florida. Jacksonville, Florida is exactly where I am going to the dentist and I am starting my journey and like Kalin, I’m scared to death but her videos have helped me with the anxiety and a lot of questions that I had , I’m so happy for her that she ended up winning a smile makeover contest and then she was offered What she had been dreaming of getting ,which I am right there with her on that too, It is amazing that she was able to get the 20k smile makeover and then have a dentist reach out to her and offer her the 4 n 1 implants, that is truly the best gift that she could have ever asked for, I am literally going through the exact experience and my mouth is in such bad shape that I was hopeless and she is taking time out of her life and sharing her story and paying it forward and I appreciate that and I love her videos they are insightful and they full of information. I’m truly happy that you received the beautiful smile that you dreamed of @Kalinjax 🥰
@@gregbarrett5139 It is not BS Greg that is all I payed. I have payed into MediCare which is our Government medical insurance all my working life and I get to see doctors for free and I only had to pay a small amount to have my teeth extracted and to have my new denture made. Every body from the moment that they start working just pays a levy into MediCare which is deducted from there weekly pay and they are covered for most medical expenses. I have to have a 3 joint ankle fusion soon but I am not worried. My operation and my stay in hospital will be payed for by MediCare in full. I will receive no bills. I am 66 years old now and am on the old age pension so I do not have to pay any levies to MediCare any more. When you go on the old age pension there is no costs for most things medical. We have a wonderful system that was bought in by our Labor Government many years ago. I just have to go to the Government Dental Service and the Public Hospitals to get these things done. No matter what a prescription costs all I have ever had to pay was $6.50 so Greg I do not know where you live but if you can not get the same deal as we get here in Australia then perhaps it is time that you moved down under. The sun shines most of the time and we have great beaches and friendly people.
that made me cry... i just got my lowers done a week ago.... it's gonna be january when i can get my uppers.... i need this.... i want to be able to smile.... i have been watching your videos and i just wanted you to know that it's helping me get through this.... 15 to be pulled on my upper and i am scared.....
Thank you - I found this video and it helps me a lot . Best regards from teh Alps in Central Europe. All the best for you and your family. You look great and you are a nice and lovely woman.
Thank you for making this video, I think you look beautiful. I have top dentures and need bottom dentures but of course I couldn't afford to pay out of pocket at one time. I currently have 6 bottom teeth that need to be pulled out before I get fitted for the bottom. I have a blood disorder where my blood dont clot so I cant get all my teeth pulled out the same day because I could bleed to death! But, I'm very nervous and have high anxiety about going through the denture process again. I really dont want to go without any bottom teeth so I need to discuss this with my dentist. Anyway, thank you for all your help this video answered a lot of my questions. It's been 7 years since I got my top set of dentures so I dont really remember the process.
Actually, a tooth that is rotted all the way down to the gums can often be fixed. You may not want to fix 28 such teeth, but for a single tooth, as long as it has a root or roots that are solidly rooted in bone, you can have the root canals filled, and then various kinds of techniques can be use to attach an artificial crown to the root or roots. This is generally regarded as better than an implant because of the cushioning effect of the peridontal ligaments that surround each root. Also, implants don't have any ability to change position in response to chewing forces and to changes in position, or wear, on adjacent teeth and opposing teeth.
Theodore Zuckerman mine poisoned me they thot was my heart but cute russian dr found the bacteria pulled them all now i gum it but after seeing her smile im doing it
Kalinjax, I want to thank you for posting these videos. You have put my mind at ease (somewhat) over the fact that I am in need of dentures. Your down to earth and honest approach of your videos have actually made me feel more comfortable with the thought of getting them. In fact you have even inspired me to make a vlog of my own. I just posted the first of my videos up tonight. So once again Thank You.
They could have been made wrong, I'm not counting that out.... but i've not talked to very many people that didn't experience pain and difficulty eating in the beginning. Sore spots are very common, it's actually uncommon to *not* get them. For the first two weeks, it was a challenge. This is a totally new thing for you and it will take some getting used to. Your gums will continue to shrink, the dentures will become loose and you will get a reline.
It's been a long journey. I think we started at about the same time. I was completed very soon after the journey (maybe a year?) Some take a lot longer. It's a journey for sure. I ended up with excellent care and long-term implants quite early. I am sorry it takes so long for some people. It's really hard :(
I think that is great that her parents helped her out with her dental problems. I myself had to ask my elder parents to help me out with a dental and jaw billd that my insurance wouldn't cover because they don't cover TMJ problems. My bill came to over 100K for teeth and jaw treatment. I'm blessed that my parents were able to help me because not everyone has that kind of money laying around but they were there for me and I do have to pay them back, this is not a free ride, by no means.
Thanks, great video. I had all my molars out two weeks ago and the rest are getting pulled in two days when my dentures are ready. I am not looking forward to it, so your talk has chilled me out a bit. I was planning to get implants when my gums have settled down but if the dentures are as good as yours (yours look really nice btw) I might not even bother. Like you my parents didn't stand over me as a child making sure I brushed properly, and they didn't stop me eating candy and washing it down with soda either, but I'm not really blaming them, plus I'm British and I'm sure you know our reputation for taking care of our teeth. haha. Too late to do anything about that now. I'm shocked at the amount of money you had to pay though! Luckily for me, where I live a large percentage of the cost of dentures is covered by obligatory national health care insurance, or there is no way I could have afforded it.
I think you are the beavest woman ever... Most people who have perfect or ok teeth, they tend to reject people with bad teeth, as if we had chosen that... We who have bad teeth, we feel so rejected, it can be very destructive for us emotionally. I am 55, with devastangly bad teeth, and terribly self-conscious about it... All dentists tell me I am definitely going to have to get dentures sooner than later. And I feel as if that was the worst possible thing in life.... So just listening to you and the positive attitude you have... wow! Thank you
I'm so glad I found this video. I have to get dentures, and it has been a scary thought. The only thing I'm worried about now is I have a very high tolerance to anestestha due to numerous heart procedures I've had, and so i'm pretty sure a dentitst wont be able to put me to sleep. In fact, I'm very sure. anesthesiologists have a hell of a time doing it and would rather keep me awake if possible. I hope it's not too tramatic being awake for it....thanks so much for this video though!
I wish my dentures looked so amazingly natural, I like you wasn't taught to look after my teeth as a youngster in fact I can't really remember ever being shown how to brush my teeth ever, can't remember clearly having a toothbrush till I was able to buy my own as soon as I got a part time job so like you as I got older my teeth deteriorated and lack of good dental meant I ended up having to wear full dentures, my biggest problem is that obviously I am older and as you get older your gums shrink and I struggle keeping the bottom ones in place, also mine just are really heavy and thick, in the US are the plates thinner, your really suit you and I realise that teeth or no teeth it's your personality that's important but looking good helps. You keep smiling
Hey Kathy, well, the dentist decided to keep my teeth and repair them. He restored about 10 of them, pulled 4 and did a root canal on 5 of them! It sucked, but I have my teeth, they look new, and he is making a partial denture for the 4 he pulled. It was slightly more expensive than the denture quote..not a lot, and he thought it would be better for me considering my age and the condition of remaining teeth. I think dentures would have been easier! haha but at least the hard part is over.
I have great dental insurance but my portion of extractions thru permanent (upper only) is $4100! My dentist shaved off about $400 from the cost of extractions. The treatment plan has 2 implants(snaps) included. I have been ok'd by Care Credit and have 6 months to pay it off for 0% interest. I'm just praying that my other medical issues will be figured out without much more medical tests, etc. I took in a roommate to lessen the financial strain. I've had my impression done and am waiting for my E-day to be set. I'm very thankful for all the information I have gotten from RUclips. I have all the supplies I may need...or not. I am TYJ...trusting my journey, after a lot of crying. I am putting my teethe in the hands of my new dentist/oral surgeon...just waiting for the call to really get started on this long journey.
reading this at 5am woke up at 3am from teeth pain :( I'm 30, with 4 little ones. I can hardly handle this pain as I'm typing.....I'll have to watch this whole video later for price! ahhhhh :/. can't wait to watch your videos tho!!!! :)
I'm 33 I just had all my teeth extracted a few weeks ago. I couldn't afford to have temporaries so im toothless untill i get my permanent set in a few weeks. Best decision ive ever made. I was paying 100s at a time to have fillings, crown, single extractions and it all kept failing and id have worse pain tgen before. I'm pain free now.
This chic is entitled, girl you could have had your own teeth fix when you were younger. You should be ashamed of yourself wanting them to pay for your teeth. And as far as your children you made that choice. My children would never blame me for their teeth.
Why is it down to your parents It wasn't there fault. Your a adult now making your own choices on what you eat or drink. Take responsibility of your own and your parents taking out a loan for your dentures. Now they are parents to be very proud of. I hope you take GOOD care of your parents when they are old and need your help. Like they did with lots of repayments on the loan on your lovely looking dentures. Sorry but it's true
My experience was so different.. I just got a whole upper plate 7 days ago.. My entire process from impressions to pulling was 6 days.. could have been 2 days but I needed time to prepare lol.. But you were lucky to have tranquilizers! I had to go in with nothing and had 14 pulled while awake =/ it was hard.! Anyway, you look great! :)
I have started the process on my bottom row of teeth . In March my dentist took one bottom tooth out . An put no replacement tooth in for me I'm at the point were I have to go back to get 2nd impression. The first I had done 2 weeks after I got the firts tooth pulled on the bottom I will have a bridge done on the bottom I have 2 back side teeth that we can save. So on April 3 I'm going in to have the 2nd impression done then I get to make my appointment to have 5 teeth pulled and get my bridge. So what I did was I got a kit off if Amazon and made a tooth the only thing is it's tough to drink and you cant eat with it in so I'm gonna pick up a small tube of pladent and use a tiny little bead on the fake tooth so I can eat when I'm with the grandkids .
im 48 and going through the same thing i feel well depressed you look so young too.so theres hope for me yet in a strange way its nice to know theres people out there and its not just me. :( my top are knackered i have a thing in with wires wich hurt and i have some ready to collect but cant find courage to go.can i ask please do they stay in or need sticking and what would be best to use for that?
It definitely makes all the difference to have an amazing dental office/dentist. I told them the same thing. I actually also told them I'd have to let my teeth fall out on their own. Mine actually gave me a name of an insurance to call. I switched insurance because they'll cover 💯% extractions and 💯% dentures. An oral surgeon wanted $1,400 for only four extractions. That didn't include pain meds before, during or after the extractions.
I have to get dentures soon. I always get dry socket when I get my teeth pulled. was wondering if when you got yours done did they do stitches? and in super nervous about the pain :/ while they pull them out and after ? :/
I was scared also n still am but i..u gotta due it.
Great that you were able to replace teeth that had to go with an alternative making you happy!!!
My girlfriend just go dentures and they look nice but no matter what I still love her with or with out teeths.,..

how are you doing? im 39 im having all my teeth out in feb 2023, im having full dentures, im scared but i need a life again x
@@GorlWorldComments haven’t had it done yet. Can’t afford it
In the same boat as you.
So strange this is my exact story.. I had to double check that I didn't post this 😂
People who cant "afford" it because their country offers virtually no help, I pray for you. I live in the Netherlands where kids are fully insured, adults have the option of (extra) insurance, and if not, dentists will workup a payment plan, so u get care you need and are not left suffering... but its cheaper, too. 2 dentures cost under €500!!
It's so easy guys the hardest part is making the appt and showing up!!I promise
You right
It's letting go of the fear and embarrassment. It destroys your self esteem. Dentures will change all that. Your confidence will grow, this I promise.
@@somedude8191 but bone loss can damage self esteem too, and dentures usually don't help with that..

But what about bone loss? Isn't that a really important concern?

Yes!! My grandma had dentures at 17 and my mom at 30. I'm 35 and have spent thousands of dollars. Now I'm looking at a partial because I have root canals that were messed up years ago. I've tried so hard to keep my teeth
Kitty Kat that's what happened to me but I still can't get my mouth fix and get everything I need done, I had one surgery to get 8 teeth pulled bc I had no choice and we got a loan but dentist r so expensive it's so hard for people to go
UPDATE- so I thought I wld never be saying this but I’m getting my surgery tomorrow to get the rest of my teeth pulled which is 18 teeth and getting dentures the same day, all of it is 3000 dollars for every5ong dentures and it comes with a package where every apt is payed for bc u have to go in the date after the surgery and once a mnth, I cnt believe I’m finally getting this surgery def nervous though!
I just wish there was more dentist who would step in an help those in need.. it so exspensive to go to the dentist even when you have insurance..

Hi Eric. You posted about the terrible time that you are having with your dentures. Well I am writing to you now 5 years later to find out how you are going with your dentures now. Hope that you can get back to me, and tell us all here how you are coping with your dentures now 5 years later. See you later from Bob

Thank you so much! This was one of the most helpful videos I've seen! Especially since I am pretty sure I am going to have to get dentures soon. 😊👍
@BEVERLEY KOH, Hi, just wanna know. How much do they charged for implant supported dentures in Malaysia? Upper or lower arch.
If you think malaysia is expensive, in USA its like 50 000$ for implants
Thanks for your videos they really helped me
You look great! Amazing how much teeth can change your appearance. You probably smile all the time now....go girl!
You just saved my life.My family and myself thank you more then you know.
Getting them the way you did costs less, ensures a better fit, but you have to go without teeth.
wow! This is a great video, especially for younger people that need dentures! Yours look great! So natural looking.
My wife and I had 5 kids We couldn't take them all to the dentist Only the ones that had to go The oldest and my younger daughter needed braces but we couldn't afford it But my kids worked hard on their education and military So when they became adults they did for themselves what we couldn't They didn't come back to us and say "hey because you weren't perfect parents and give me everything I wanted and needed you still owe me this" You take what your parents could do for you and build on that It's called being a responsible adult But hey they were dumb enough not to tell her to kick rocks then thats on them Also when you put yourself out there like this Then you make you and your business our business It's the price of being a """celebrity""" Don't want us in your business getcha face of ma screen sorry Not that I'll follow her She's obviously a bibmbo and a quasi drug addict which is prolly what happened to her teeth to begin with

good teeth, bad teeth, great teeth or lack of teeth does not define a person whatsoever, unfortunately some people are ignorant and assume if you wear dentures, have a few "bad" teeth etc that you don't take care of yourself. obviously that is not always the case. you are more beautiful than most people I have seen with perfect teeth! Also, the average person would never be able to tell you have them. God bless and you and your smile are beautiful xo

Its such a strange process. Thank you it always helps to hear somebody's story. Good job
A LOVELY VIDEO. THE PROCESS WAS WELL EXPLAINED
Thank you kindly for the info. I am terrified but it must be done. I go in nx week for impressions. I wanted implant dentures but 40,000 is very expensive for this retire woman living on one income. You convinced me to settle on the immediate denture.
Thank you for your honesty, your sincerity and openness. You're a beautiful young woman! With a beautiful smile! God Speed!
I love your videos. they're very uplifting.
Thank you for this ! I had lovely teeth 2 years ago .. All of a sudden no longer ..devastating!
You look great and sound great. Do you have upper and lower dentures?

There’s definitely a learning curve but I ate well with my dentures. Just have to make sure they have an optimal fit.

You look great! Was the total price of $4,100 the cost of both temporary denture as well as the permanent denture?
I was completed very soon after the journey (maybe a year?)
Some take a lot longer.
Your dentures look absolutely great, good luck.
So just listening to you and the positive attitude you have... wow!
Thank you
Not "beavist woman", of course... I meant "bravest"
Your dentures look pretty.
So do you plan on getting permanent dentures? Do you find it's hard to eat any food? Do they ever feel like they are falling out?

I go back next week for impressions hopefullyI am looking forward to eating solids again
Hi how many tooth were pulled out??? is it possible for them to only replace four tooth?
Hey Kathy, well, the dentist decided to keep my teeth and repair them. He restored about 10 of them, pulled 4 and did a root canal on 5 of them! It sucked, but I have my teeth, they look new, and he is making a partial denture for the 4 he pulled. It was slightly more expensive than the denture quote..not a lot, and he thought it would be better for me considering my age and the condition of remaining teeth. I think dentures would have been easier! haha but at least the hard part is over.
Lorazapam is a tranquilizer too. They probably gave you generic Xanax...its like dobling up on your Loraz.
They are all Benzos...makes you chill
Good luck to you! It's not always an easy road to have to take but I am sure you will get to a place of peace at some point. Good luck to you!
You are amazing - and your teeth are absolutely beautiful...
Just got mine partial upper two front teeth. Like them better than my real ones. Took me a month to get use to them. All is good
Good to hear!
reading this at 5am woke up at 3am from teeth pain :( I'm 30, with 4 little ones. I can hardly handle this pain as I'm typing.....I'll have to watch this whole video later for price! ahhhhh :/. can't wait to watch your videos tho!!!! :)
I'm 33
I just had all my teeth extracted a few weeks ago.
Thanks for sharing, I'll need full dentures not too long from now, you have made me feel much better.
skatersaxman me too man
My experience was so different.. :)
half down , half to go. Wide awake as well. thought he was going to fracture my jaw with all the pushing pulling and twisting :(
Sorry I am just now seeing this.. How is it going now?
Knock me OUT or I cant consider this. We've all been thru enough so show some mercy and give at least gas!!!!
What's the website you tell everyone about? Thanks
Thank you so much for the encouragement, look forward to hearing from you:-)
Thanks for your detailed info. I'm in the same situation you were. Your "teeth" look great.
So are you getting permanent ones?
