Your videos are gifts that keep on giving and I can't wait to open each new one. Much love to you and your family, Gina.
Gina ♥️you are like an Angel from heaven. I look forward to your teaching, you make life so easy! I am 63 and just starting out on my own and it is very hard. You make cooking so beautiful and relaxing. I have made some things your had on your channel,God bless you for your passion In Cooking delicious meals
Who's the nit wit that gave thumbs down to Gina ? You couldn't ask for a kinder , gentler person than Gina ! Merry Christmas Gina ! Keep your videos coming ! You are loved by many ! GOD BLESS ALL !
I just love the way you sing i don't understand what the words are but you make it sound very beautiful and I'm 54 year's old I've been cooking since I was 8 year's old and I love these and could never find the recipe and just like magic you came on my phone out of the blue and now I have my recipe. Thank you so much merry Christmas grandma
I don't know if it's just me, but I happened upon these videos when I was recovering from illness and wanted to find something to increase my appetite. The meatballs video did the trick! I find just watching and listening to her soothing and comforting, and oy vey that accent! Bless you, nana!
Gina ,I'm so glad I found your channel. I've been watching you for over a year & so many things you do remind me of my grandparents who came from Avileno, Compangnia & Abrutzi. Not all your recipes are like there's but I love your Italian accent & singing. It makes me melancholy for my childhood. May you stay in good health & happiness & know there are many like myself that you bring great joy to our lives. God bless you & your family. Merry Christmas. Chris from Ohio
My grandmother use to make these but hers had anise instead of almond or vanilla. They were so good with a nice cup of coffee sitting around the table and talking , it's a Italian thing. Good memories for sure ,miss you grandma.
I thought the same thing when Gina put the almond in. Ours always had anise. I have never tried to make them but Gina has never steered me wrong so I will try it both ways.
I found this wonderful womans video's when i was looking for advise on making focaccia. My son in law is Italian and he was away for 3 months because of COVID. When he came home i made the focaccia to welcome him home. When i told him about Gina's videos he was delighted and started watching them as well. It makes him smile and thjnk of his parents in Savona. He hasn't seen them for a year now due to the virus. Thank you Gina please keep making these videos x
I remember making these with mom. At first we had ab old pizelle iron that we used on the stove., later she bought an electric one that was so much easier to use. Still eat Pizelles, love them. We used to double the recipe because we had a large family. So many memories watching you Gina. Ty so much for sharing these recipes with us. God Bless
Omg. Thank you SO much for sharing these treasures. Thankful for technological capabilities. Back in the day, grandmas could only leave recipes, but how much better to leave videos of grandma actually making said recipes. And her singing makes this her own. I just love her. Thank you much. Blessings. :)
It's even worse for me because my Grandmother would throw in a handful of this and a smaller handful of that. We only have a couple of recipes because my Aunt literally would grab the bowl and measure what she threw in! Oh how I miss all the day today stuff she made. I wish I paid better attention to what she was throwing in. I was there many times when she cooked, But at that age I wasn't really into caring about cooking. A video would be priceless on many levels! But here's hoping this lovely Nonna is here teaching us for many, many years!!!
I love Gina's videos so much! My favorite part is when she sings. It puts a smile on my face, because she said in a previous video that when she is happy she sings. :)
I almost cried watching this beautiful video. I used to help my mom make pizzelles every Christmas. She used her old pizzelle iron that you hold over the stove. Always wearing her apron. I still have her pizzelle iron. She passed away two years ago. My heart still hurts. I'm ready to start up our pizzelle tradition, but I think I will buy a pizzelle maker. My mom was so proud of her pizzelles. Just not the same without her❤🙏🙏
My mom ...her name was Lucia like you...made her pizzelles with a iron that was made for her by a family friend the year she was born (1924)...she was so proud of it...I always miss her as you miss your mom...all those hundreds of pizzelles we both made at Christmas...we share a wonderful memory...god bless xox
yes the iron held over the stove makes the thinnest pizzelle... somewhere along the way we lost the old one my mother had... so sad... i wonder if you could still bye one???
I love you Gina! Your singing warms my heart! You show us how to be happy in our homes with simple joys of cooking and baking. Your smile and cuteness is the best of life to me! Even when I heard you chew the pizzelle, I wished I was with you. You are just like my grandmother who I miss terribly. Sicilian, sweet , loves family, sings!! God bless you Gina!
I love to watch her do everything... explaining, cooking, singing, praying and loving... she constantly reminds me of my own grandma who like her used to cook plenty of delicious food... all by their hard working hands... I find answers in her teachings that I'd have liked to ask my own grandma... she's a loving granny to everybody... love from across the miles... and the tiny island of Malta, neighbour of Italy. God bless you nonna Gina xxx ooo
My Nonna, Anna Barbero was born in Foggia and every Christmas she made us grandchildren a huge tin of biscotti and pizzelles. It was our favorite tradition to eat these wonderful pizzelles on Christmas Day after opening our presents. Thank You, Gina! You remind me so much of my Nonna. God Bless You and Merry Christmas.
Thank you for sharing this, Nonna Gina. I had a very disheartening day today but just now I made pizzelles with you and it was a comfort to me. I love it when you sing! It puts a smile on my face.
My Aunt Linda told me that my Grama used to make pizzelles for Christmas every year. When she passed, she was given her pizzelle machine. I didn't know she did that until a few years ago. (I didn't grow up near family.) I had no idea what a Pizzelle was. She made me excited about it and I went home and ordered myself a machine. I love it! Now I make them for Christmas too :) I love your recipe! The one that came with my machine is thinner batter. Your batter looks better! I'm going to try it this year. Thank you! :) Merry Christmas!
I absolutely adore The Italian Grandma, no other will do! I've tried so many of her recipes and thank goodness for the description of ingredients :-) I also love when she packs her doughs into layers of throw blankets, which I do now! I love when The Italian Grandma sings too! I wish I was born into a big Italian family! Hehe.
She is soooo lovely. I'm Italian, and she speaks English exactly like my folks!! Even substitutes the same Italian words when she's at a loss for the English equivalent. Heartwarming! It's great that you did this for her and the audience out there.
Thank you Gina. Pizzelle and Tarelli are my favorites. My mom, god bless her soul, used to make them for my boys, 40 years ago. She would make multiple batches. One big batch, regular and one batch chocolate, she would fill the middle of two pizzelle with ice cream and wrapped them individually and freeze them. After Sunday dinner, my boys would ask for a pizzelle ice cream sandwich. 👍
I was looking for a good pizzelle recipe. I should have known you would have one. Thank you Gina. Blessing of good health and loving family I send to you.
hello, dear lady.....they look absolutely delicious...somebody in the comment section wrote that you should make a cookbook....how I wish you would...your recipes are fantastic.....I wish you well always...God Bless you always.and may you and your family have a Blessed Christmas 🎁🎄
Nonna Gina tu sei una gioia, specialmente quando canti. Thank you for sharing yourself with us. I’m from Bitritto, and everything you do is so dear to my heart! Grazie
I am all Italian, and this video brings back wonderful memories of my childhood with my own grandmother, making pizzelles. Thanks for all the warm and fuzzy feelings, and I just went out and bought a pizzelle machine, and will use your recipe to make them! Merry Christmas to You!
Nonna Gina you bring a smile to my face. My siblings and I still go to Mama's house to make cookies. Just us, we talk, we laugh and we cry, wishing Papa was still here. It's our special time together. Even though we are old enough for Social Security, we still argue and Mama threatens to smack us with the wooden spoon (she never would). LOL After we are done we eat Pasta e Fagioli. It's one of the best parts of the holiday! Buon Natale! Dio ti benedica!
Buon Natale! I make pizzelles every Christmas using my Nana's 100 year old recipe. We make ours with anise and anise seeds. It gives them a unique liquorice flavor. Thank you for sharing.
Amazing timing...this was uploaded today a year after my mother's unexpected passing. She didn't get to make her annual batches of Pizzelle to share with family and friends. Her recipe made a huge amount of cookies, I will try your recipe in order to make less but substitute anise extract to be like Mom's were. Thank you and I hope you stay healthy and happy.
I love making Pizzelle. I have the same machine and love it. I always lightly grease mine with butter in between each one because I was afraid they would stick, but I'm happy to learn from you that it is not necessary. I also love the idea of adding sprinkles for the holidays. I'm so happy to see you making new videos. You're amazing. Thank you!
Nonna Gina, you remind me of my Nonna who sadly passed away a few years ago. I have many wonderful memories of making pizzelle with her - often by the dozens! I also used to make little sandwiches out of them for tea with some of her homemade plum jam in the middle. Thank you for sharing!
Gina, I just purchased my prizzele maker. My grand daughter & great grand daughter will visit me Sunday & I plan on using your recipe to make my first batch of PRIZZELES 💕 thank you for making it easy to follow 💕
This video was right on time I couldn't find my recipe. God workes in mysterious ways can't wait to use this recipe... Thank you so much... I just love her. We ate so blessed that you wanted to share such a precious gem with us. GOD BLESS.
I am eating Pizzelle while I am watching this. I buy them at the store but I am thinking about making them. I love your singing . My Grandmother was Hungarian and I remember my Mother singing the songs that they would sing together when she was a little girl. My Mother went to Heaven a couple years ago. Listening to you sing brings back so many beautiful memories.
every time i watch G/Gina, I get tears in my eyes, because she reminds me so much of my mom in Italy. I was not lucky enough to have her with me to teach me how to cook her old traditional Holiday dishes, but I watch Gina and i am making of making them and think of my mom each time. Thank you so much. :)
Grandma, you’re such a sweet soul, I think of my nona all the time but you really remind me so much of her. I never got to learn her recipes, she sadly passed when I was young but I remember the delicious foods she made, recipes you share with us, you make me so happy and I’m thrilled to have found your channel. God bless you and keep you safe, happy holidays, ti’amo♥️
Love your videos especially your singing. You bring back fond memories of my grandmother. On her 106th birthday we made a video of her singing "The Butcher Boy" while making Italian fig cookies and Caponata. 💖💖
Dear Nonna Gina, I have the same pizzelle maker and have used the recipe included , using melted butter. I think yours look so much better with the olive oil . Going to make another batch following your recipe. I love watching and listening to you. Buon Natale !
Grandma my Italian mother in law used anise seed and melted margarine , she is up in heaven ( im going to try oil instead ) I think of all my wife's family you make a tear in my eye I Love you Joe Lynch
I just love watching you cook, hearing you sing, just being you. I’ve never used the colored sprinkles before. I think I will try that for Christmas. God Bless You.
This is the most wonderful video and warms my heart ❤️ pizzelles were my favorite and my mother in law used to hide them in my husbands car and call me to tell me where to find them when she send them home for me - I go make the pizzelles now!
Grandmother you made my heart smile you are the best cure for a soul missing their family at Christmas and well every day...there is nothing like family i just hope you are being treated well we love you grandmother.
I have been making pizzelles for 30 + years... first with my grandmother then my mother and now with my daughter. I have grandmas pizzelle maker. We have never used oil, always melted butter and anise flavor. I will start making my daily batches in the next week or so...I give them out to family and friends..last year we added cocoa for chocolate pizzelles. They are fabulous. Thank you for introducing these amazing cookies to your viewers..
Gina, your recipes are wonderful and more importantly seeing you is always uplifting. Thank you for doing what you are doing; you give far more than just a cooking lesson. We are in such crazy times as you know yet whenever I watch you my hope for the good in mankind is renewed.
Grandma Gina. I love you so much and I enjoying watching your videos even if I don’t cook. I wish you were my mother since I lost my mom long time ago. Again love you my mother
I was just about to start making my pizzelle today and there was your video. I use anise and anise seed to flavour mine. I've also used orange. My mom made them with manual maker, one at a time, by warming the iron on the stove top burner. Electric is way easier!
Marilyn, I was looking to see if someone makes them like I have done for many years. Yes, I started out with an iron on a kerosene burner and flipping it to the other side. I have one of these electric ones but not with the lights to tell you it's done. I have to watch the second hand on the clock for every pizzelli. I make over a hundred at a time so it takes me hours. I also use make only the anise-orange ones. Fante''s original from Philadelphia. I had never heard of the recipe MaMa Gina made.
I'm sure that I speak for all of your subscribers when I say that we would love nothing more than getting together with you for some tea or coffee, enjoying some of your beautiful pizzelle, and having some wonderful conversation with you. Your videos are gifts that keep on giving and I can't wait to open each new one. Much love to you and your family, Gina.
I would be on a plane in second -post Covid of course- to have a meal with her,
This world needs more decent, loving, giving people like her!
I love her!!!!

Why would anyone thumbs down our lovely Italian Grandma? What is wrong with you? We love everything about her. We love you Italian Grandma!! ♥️
Most likely silly children who do that. They would think it funny. Pay no attention to the thumbs down.
I just love the way you sing i don't understand what the words are but you make it sound very beautiful and I'm 54 year's old I've been cooking since I was 8 year's old and I love these and could never find the recipe and just like magic you came on my phone out of the blue and now I have my recipe.
Me too! Yay! Betcha can’t eat just one! 😁
My mom's recipe was also melted butter and anise plus extra butter to grease the pizzelle iron.
Oh my goodness ... my Grandma used to sing "Tu Sciende Dalle Stelle" to me ... brings tears to my eyes. God bless Gina!
I love that she sings to God, Our and Blessed Mother! So inspirational!
Gina, your recipes are wonderful and more importantly seeing you is always uplifting. Thank you for doing what you are doing; you give far more than just a cooking lesson. We are in such crazy times as you know yet whenever I watch you my hope for the good in mankind is renewed.
I am so thankful for these videos❤ Gina reminds me of my dear Nonna Ida!
Grandma Gina. I love you so much and I enjoying watching your videos even if I don’t cook. I wish you were my mother since I lost my mom long time ago. Again love you my mother
Thanks Gina! Just love your videos...you always bring joy to me when I watch!♥️
This was a joy to watch! Your videos are always the best part of my day.
@@lorettaenz4828 I think different recipes are regional. I still have my mom's iron, but it's closet decor...lol.
My Nonna passed before we ever made these together. Now my daughter and I are watching and learning from you!
She’s so adorable!
I put a little oily-oila! 🤗🥰
It makes you want to dance to some opa ....it's like ...la ...la ...la...
I come to Gina’s for the incredible recipes and her awesome singing. I adore her songs.
Love you, Gina, all the way from Alaska.
