- Let's start off the new decade right! In this video, we head to NYC for a James Bond X OMEGA event where they announced the release of the new James Bond watch for the upcoming film. In addition to getting an exclusive access interview, I had some time to chat with OMEGA CEO, Raynald Aeschlimann to discuss the Bond relationship and OMEGA heading into the next decade. I hope you all enjoy. I was not compensated for this video by OMEGA.

Starting 2020 with one of the final highlights from 2019 with my trip to the OMEGA/James Bond event. I hope you guys enjoy the video (please give it a thumbs up if you do). What other brand CEOs, watchmakers, or industry leaders would you like to see me interview next? Wishing you all the best 2020. Let's make it the best year yet!
Love the video. An interview with Seiko or Jaeger-LeCoultre would be brilliant!
@@markmcgarvey6446 Let me see what I can do!
Tudor!
Panerai..😁
How about interviewing strap makers instead? Or any of the AHCI members?😁
Teddy looking like Q
I'll take that!
George Thorney GOOD CALL
I like how the CEO of OMEGA didn't label the brand to just a certain group of people. Gives me insight of how they stay successful.
That’s why anyone with the correct dollars can buy one, unlike the false exclusivity of another brand which is shooting themselves in the foot and may likely die with their ageing targeted market.
CEO of Omega wow. My favorite brand. Looks like a guy who knows his customers, brand value and innovations. Hats off to Teddy for getting the insight from the CEO himself. Omega is my favorite brand.
Omega are ok, but Daniel Wellington are of much higher quality and is much more luxurious.
Teddy, I’m a long time follower and lifelong Omega collector, so I wanted to like this piece. Unfortunately, though, it was both boring (too much PR verbiage) and disappointing (objectivity is your stock in trade; this compromises it). There are legitimate questions about Omega’s strategy and direction that went unasked in this interview.
@@RogerMillerInVA Have you ever talked to a CEO? Of course the last watch is the one he will choose and of course he's the first ambassador of the company inside the company itself.
It's unreasonable to ask for strategy and direction to a CEO for a RUclips interview: those are basically the information that's requested to make the company work and management does whatever they can to avoid giving this information all around.
I was pretty surprised to hear him talk about a stainless steel 321 Speedmaster before the release, actually, as it means cutting the sales of the current model right away. I guess the release is not that far in time...
The CEO can totally be the next Bond villain.
😂😂I was thinking the same thing
He did explain his plans for world domination to Mr B, presumably before attempting to kill him in an unnecessarily complicated way and walking off before witnessing the conclusion, allowing Mr B to escape, using an unusual horological complication (laser etc) and continue to make great RUclips content 😊
Dope intro homie! ;)
Thanks a lot Peter! Means a lot coming from you buddy!
Hey Peter, do a collaboration with him.
Show off your watches and probably talk about watches that a photographer would need
I came to learn something new and I find Peter McKinnon here at the same time, triple win!
Damn this cannel is getting serious
Getting?
Seriously, how does Teddy get access to these guys? Maybe because he's one of the few youtubers that thought to ask. (and his brand and platform is favorable).
@@davidjulien1474 yeah I think teddys professionalism and understanding of esthetics is what lands him these interviews
Absolutely teddy has been doing basic lists for quite a while, now he’s doing incredible interviews, hence the comment that this channel is getting serious
@C. C. ALMOST lol
Whoa so happy to have been a witness to this channel blowing up. I mean seriously the CEO of OMEGA?!
Thanks Carlo! You keep growing as well! All the best buddy!
Not only reached the level of interviewing the CEO of Omega but rose to the challenge with how it was handled. Excellent questions and totally in control. Excellent job Teddy!
From Orient Bambino to CEO of OMEGA. Big moves. Thanks for introducing me to the world of horology Teddy. Greetings from London.
Haha the Bambino will always be sweet don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Thanks for watching, Dylan! All the best from the states!
Oh wow... I din know he did a Bambino review... That was my first watch above a hundred bucks.. today I own a seamaster 300..
@@mohamedansar8432 I got my Bambino last summer and I can't rate it more highly. It's a great introduction into automatic timepieces.
Not gonna lie, my first curiosity for watches really started from Casino Royale during the train scene between Vesper and Bond. When Vesper asked 'Rolex?' and Bond replied with what is perhaps the simplest and most blatant of product endorsement.. 'Omega.'
So cheesy
I loved that answer; Awesome !
Same !
Best lines out of this interview: “Omega is a brand for achievers.” “Omega is not an opportunistic line.” I like those lines a lot. I have three Omegas and zero Rolex. :)
An achiever of omega's level doesnt hv time to watch youtubeand comment too. so stop faking urself and welcome to our loser's world.
Arup Bose what does that even mean
Can I work with you, I'd love to be able to afford 3 Omegas.
Meh
10:11 - I have to agree. Most Omega stores have been extremely friendly and willing to let really anyone try on a watch. Sure I was dressed somewhat formally (Dress shirt and had my AE shoes on) but I've seen them be friendly to even casually dressed people that openly admitted they can't afford a watch today. Omega seems to be the type to think "Today you can't, but tomorrow you can."............Meanwhile at Rolex I've seen them snob people that are more than able to afford a Rolex.
Totally. I too have always been treated well in Omega shops.
Couldn't agree more. When I bought my first Omega, I was dressed like a schlub, but they were professional, courteous & easily earned my business. Rolex on the other hand, I was in full business profesional dress & was getting snarky looks & comments during my time with them.
Watch how that changes if their brand gets to be the level of Rolex or big 3…
Fax walked in omega in mbs Singapore and the employee was rlly communicative, meanwhile the Rolex’s was talking lethargically and all that
Omega will remain laidback and friendly with their customers even if they were to reach number 1. It’s their culture.
Teddy, your guests are getting huge! Clooney and Daniel Craig next? Congrats!
Thanks, my friend. Daniel Craig was at the event, pretty cool. Would have to make some moves to get him haha.
You gotta think like bond to get to bond lol
Clooney doesn't count. More like Clowney, liberal progressive dipsh@t.
James Knight - Biden also wears the Seamaster it’s the watch of the blue wave
The Spectre Bond watch is by far the coolest. Love everything about it.
An especially meaningful episode for me, Teddy. My grandfather, father and I have all worn Omega watches. My ears picked up when the talk was about heritage. Also, very smart of Omega to pay attention to Vloggers like you. You’re definitely a force in the marketplace, Teddy. Many traditional Watch companies are slow to realize this, so good for Omega . Excellent episode. 👍
Awesome, thanks for sharing! Omega has been a special brand in my journey as well. Let’s hope this video opens more doors going forward!
Strap companies imitating this color scheme in three… Two… One…
BB58 strap makes more sense with just 1 stripe, imo
I won't be ashamed to buy one that's for sure
@@andrei-cosmin.popa85 Black strap, tan stripe, and a red buckle would be badass
Teddy’s “first question” is about 6 questions..lol
Ya know... Listening to him speak really reaffirms my love of Omega. Customer driven, value driven, experience driven. When he said that he felt that even with the high demand for their models, it was their duty to make them available to their customers, I was like... you would never hear Rolex say that.
The CEO of Omega's insight is inspiring. One day I hope to wear an Omega on my wrist. As an achiever.
Erik Zamudio yeah, he stuck hard to their talking points and brand script. He could have been a bit more off the cuff.
Erik Zamudio: Best luck! That day is not long ahead!
Mf'ing Teddy did it again! 2020 off to a great start.
This statement ages like milk
Looking back at this comment, is there anything you would like to say to the class Timmy
Jeremy Schee beat me to it buddy.
This comment didnt age well bro...

Whoa. Huge interview! Congrats Teddy!
Thank you, Jose! Enjoy the weekend!
When a Vincero commercial pops up in the first 3 minutes of an Omega video... I'm dying 😂.
Lol typical
Annoying as F! we share the pain... why doesn't Google get it... I'm never buying a Vincero!
Get premium. Easy 😂
SL doesn’t work on RUclips 🙄
Install RUclips Vanced you will have ads no more. Plus you get a ton of cool features.
It was a lot of fun watching the Omega CEO, bring depth to seemingly shallow questions. I'm glad that Omega is staying consistent in their values, and not just trying to sell more and more watches. But rather remain dedicated to what they believe in, and in attracting those people who share the same beliefs.
Great interview! I really like the Omega CEO. He seems very passionate about his product. I've seen others with him. Always great to see. I'm saving up for my first Omega. Cheers!
I was given a Omega Seamaster 007 edition by my Father-in-law during my wedding day. Forever I will cherish this watch. Great watch too!👌
Teddy’s networking game is the strongest in the game
omega took a massive stride with the no time to die seamaster, and the recent speed masters. they’re becoming one of my favorite watch brands. really loving the direction they’re headed
Crazy to watch this video in hindsight of everything that has taken place these past two years. It is encouraging to see the optimism, an optimistic perspective that many have forgotten... watch’s spanning time and measuring it is a bit of an ironic twist when paired with this optimism moving forward
The people in Omega digital relationships just doing the right thing. Unpretentious, cool attitude and willing to share there CEO time with a dude name Teddy... good job
The sky is your limit Teddy.
Don't let anything stop you.
Great start for the new year.
Only way is up! All the best for 2020 my friend!
For me favorite Omega Bond watch and favorite Bond watch in general is the 90s era 300M automatic, Blue Wave dial. One of the first luxury watches I ever bought and still wear it regularly.
Congrats, Teddy! This is amazing. 2020 is already looking bright!
Congrats on this interview. This says a lot about your abilities Teddy
Great, professional appearance by both of you! Good work.
Congratulations 🎉 Teddy! Great moment of stepping to the next level- not everyone would get an opportunity to interview the CEO of the top brand like Omega. Keep rocking !
This is a really serious video. Love it.
Can't imagine what an honor to be there with Omega's CEO talking about watches.
This kid is going places. Epic interview, Teddy 👌🏼
Wow. That was a great interview! My favorite Bond watch that the character wore was the Seamaster he wore in GoldenEye. I was already familiar with Omega watches by that point and immediately recognized it.
When Daniel Craig wore the Planet Ocean in Casino Royale, I immediately wanted one.
I kept watching the evolution of that watch and pulled the triggering the PO chronograph with the 9900 movement and METAS certification. I bought a bunch of Omega NATO straps and wear that watch daily (along with my Omega sailing strap and Seamaster ring).
Teddy what a great interview. The questions were well chosen and drew awesome content from the CEO showing off his real passion for the brand.
Have to say - it's realy interesting to hear the man who influences the watch industry. Thanks Ted for interview
You asked some really good questions!! Fantastic interview.
15 seconds in to this, I hit the LIKE BUTTON!!
Damn that is cool to have an interview with Omega's CEO, great quality and dedication!
love the line of questioning, not just lay up questions to make the brand look good but to provoke conversation too. keep it up!
Solid interview, Teddy. Congrats. That's a big deal
You are a certified professional, Teddy. Well done here!
I hope it wasn’t Craig’s idea for faux patina ... lol
Thanks Mike! And who knows lol didn’t have time for that question 😂 have a nice weekend!
Production value of this video is off the charts Teddy. Incredible job!
This channel is becoming incredible. I love the interview style and the people that you are able to bring on! From Kevin O'Leary to MVMT to now Omega, this is wonderful.
Hope you get to do a review of the new 321 in stainless steel! I know we are all hoping that production lasts longer than the listed 2000 pieces.
Nice to see a luxury watch manufacturer that doesn’t have contempt for their customers.
Which other luxury watch manufacturer has contempt for their customers? The one maintaining production of all of their watches, keeping remarkable stability in product line and stable sku count, that is so successful it can’t quite keep up with the ridiculous worldwide demand for its product, whose watches pretty much universally maintain their value such that even their base models change hands for the same price they cost 20 years ago? Or did you mean the one that has dozens of special editions, dozens of colours for each new watch, hundreds of changes constantly making it confusing as to which watch to buy, loses at least a 1/3rd of its value the minute you walk out of the door unless you got a discount from the dealer? Surely it must be the latter, right?
Of course they have one. There's a reason why the Seamasters are in Bond movies and Hamiltons do appear on Intersellar, while being both owned by Swatch.
It was just more polite not to talk about that...
TN. Gee what a wanky reply....🤣
"The world is changing" ..
Boooy, they had noooo idea what 2020 is bringing 😄
It brought nothing expect frightened people over nothing
Teddy. You are becoming more and more "dapper" with each video! Keep up the GREAT work! Excellent interview. You ask some really thought provoking questions. Thanks for what you do.
congrats man on the interview, great start into 2020
Thanks buddy! All the best for you in 2020
Great start to 2020! Been looking forward to this interview. Can’t wait to see who you interview next. Maybe Jean-Frederic Dufour?
Thanks for making this happen Ian. Great suggestion ;)
I love this Bond watch, but probably my favorite is the one from Spectre.
The Skyfall Aqua Terra is a beauty though!
The Spectre Seamaster is my favorite Bond watch so far. Great interview and video Teddy. Keep them coming.
This was a great interview. Good job. I've criticized some of your older ones, but this one was very professional and concise!

"Omega is not an arrogant brand " so damn true - Lovely interview!!
gotta hand it to Omega for embracing the online watch world and establishing their presence early. this move certainly ensures them a special place in this generation of watch enthusiasts.
Wow! from MVMT to Omega. Excellent coverage of the industry. Keep up the good work Teddy. This channel is certainly going places.

You can easily sense the CEO is truly passionate about the brand and its products. Great interview!
BTW you look like a boss in that suit, you should wear that more often.
Love my Omega Seamaster 300m. Next will be a Speedmaster.
Great interview Teddy! Well done! Plenty more one could have asked but you kept it short, sweet and relevant.
What a way to start 2020 this watch is a thing of beauty. I’m such a big Bond fan I wish I could just see it in person!

"I think Omega is an incredible inspiring brand - it's a brand for achievers. The brand that is not arrogant, that has a lot of values."
I wonder which arrogant brand he's talking about? 🤔
Hmmmm.....I have a feeling it starts with an R and ends with an olex
Shots fired!
Start the ball, Tector !
Yeah here he nailed it
Those are probably the most important couple of sentences in the whole video!
I love the enthusiasm Omega CEO is exhibiting when talking about the brand. Good for him, good for the brand.
That was a damn good interview ! Your interview skills are very good, it’s often overlooked but it’s not easy to conduct a smooth interview for 20 min! Congrats ! Cheers
This video is the reason, why smart watches will never stand a chance, imo
Congrats Teddy , it was a very professional interview, you have got your own special way for this kind of interview. Keep the pace

This is brilliant, Teddy! I’m inspired and proud of what you’ve done.
Thank you Teddy for sharing this interview. My first luxury watch was an Omega Speedmaster Professional. The Omega to get in my opinion and will remain in my collection.
Raynald Aeschlimann - "Daniel Craig is a very big Omega watch lover"
Daniel Craig - wears Rolex
Antons Sergejevs : He’s polyamorous, I suppose 😉
When Daniel Craig is not being paid to wear a watch, he wears Rolex. When he is being paid to, he wears Omega.
LOL
Horrible logic. I love pizza, but I can also eat burgers.
@@trevbarlow9719 but if you only eat pizza when it's free and pay to eat burgers, which would you say you prefer more :)
Awesome job Teddy, love Omega, but not a fan of the James Bond edition
Thanks for watching my friend! This was certainly a polarizing release. Skyfall still takes the title for favorite bond watch.
Great interview and great production! Good job Teddy and team!
Love this vid Teddy! Editing and production value is awesome and entertaining 🤙
Should have asked him whats the deal with really inconvenient lug width sizes?
Have I heard it right ? Omega is planning on releasing smaller watches ?
Great start to the new year. Wishing you and the viewers an excellent watch year.
I feel like your channel is VERY under-rated. You make great videos, well knowledgeable, well put together, every watch featured is stunning, etc... Keep it up man, got my sub 🤙
The Spectre watch was way better. I liked it so much, I bought one! This edition is just too fussy for my personal tastes.
for some reason a swiss accent is way different than a german and a french one. i like it.
You'll find the stereotypical accents of the French and German here, but this is what happens when someone takes his English seriously.
Good job, Teddy. Interview was awesome. CEO was very comfortable and engaging.
Out of all the watch channels on this site, you have, in my opinion, the highest trustworthiness factor by a long shot. And, you’re quite a sincere gentleman.
Great Job and also a great interview Teddy... Omega is one of my favorite Brands which has an incredible standing and has its own storyline... Looking for more vid's like this... All thumbs up for you
Try not to laugh challenge: watch this... Then watch the mvmt one.
Should have asked him when Omega will add micro adjustment on the clasp of the Aqua Terra and Railmaster and all.
Yes please!
Teddy, one of the trademarks of your channel is how well you dress. Ever thought of doing more a fashion-oriented video? Say, talking about tapering, how to choose a suit, what goes with what, etc. Phenomenal job in any case! You're absolutely nailing it.
Great vid Teddy! Keep’em coming!
Teddy, you've never bought a watch from an actual store? That's surprising to say the least.
I picked up on that too. But that is how it is these days. It is a shame, in a way, that in the future there will be less opportunity to window shop these kind of brands.
Its so difficult to take Omega seriously any more, what a shame.
How many Rolex’s you have ?
@@dgarrido3381 Don't know where that question comes from. I think Omega makes a great watch but way too many skus & every other watch is a limited edition, the term has lost all meaning. There is a reason they don't retain value. The company needs someone that understands marketing.
Speedmasters are killers ! They are awesome pieces. Omega is a business different than Rolex ! The size of collectors of speedmasters is huge ! The brand dilution is non existent for a true collector . Rolex is idiotic foundation. Do I own rolexes ? Yes, explorer 2, sky dweller and Daytona. Omega is the pinnacle of Mass production watchmaking. Get your bearings straight, let omega do the special editions speedmasters. Do I own tudors, yes too ! Pelagos Lhd and black 41 mm eta black bay. I truly appreciate the swatch group making a big push on the omega brand. Rolex is most of the time distasteful! This does not mean that I don’t appreciate good designs.
@@dgarrido3381 Again, I did not critisize the product, you know nothing about me or what I collect as I have made no mention of it. but you sure have gone on & on about Rolex. Everyone in the industry knows of the issues with Omega. There are many Omega's I like & I would never insult anybody that is passionate about the brand, to each his own.
scott satren Couldn’t agree more, the constant releases of limit editions comes across as nothing more than an money grab. Dismissive of the true heritage of the watch IMO
This is phenomenal!!! Teddy you’re fabulous! Congratulations and hope you keep killing it always! 👍🏻
Thanks buddy! More good content coming! Have a great weekend!
Very proud of you, Teddy. You are doing a masterful job, sir. Keep up the fantastic work!
