In this video you will see .50 BMG ammo exploding outside the barrel. .What Happens? What powerful?
I used a Gopro Hero 10 camera for slow motion. 240 fps.

Not a single word was spoken, 100% watched what i clicked for, i love you bro this is the content we need
What folks don’t realize that if nothing was behind the shell then the shell itself would shoot off the bullet causing little to no damage, like if a round was thrown in a fire.
I wouldn't say no damage lol If it split a watermelon rounds tossed in a fire fire could take your eye out and definitely penetrate skin with brass fragments
You know it. So many people watch too many stupid movies and have zero real-world personal experience with firearms.
Sounds about right, the bullet itself is way heavier than the brass, it’d probably still hurt if it hit you in the face or shin though
Yep but a 9mm with blow your lung out hehe
@@camerongover8459 you would lose more than half the force if this test was done properly, without securing half the bullet.
I'd like to see comparisons of same ammo types but in steel cased.
So like, steel cased 9mm 115gr and a brass cased 9mm 115gr. I wonder what difference there'd be in the cases retaining pressure longer.
i would guess there would be little difference. if one of the materials is stronger it would probably be produced into thinner cartridges.
didn’t even think of this, this is an awesome idea
Belted cases being stronger un-supported?
@@ulrichkalber9039 in modern FA the case is just a gasket for the breach.
So wild that it hit things sideways and spread out the force over the length of the projectile and didn't penetrate like with the wood and the ballistic gel glove. I appreciate all the effort that goes into making these videos- many thanks!
With every round I shed one tear 😢. At $8 to $10 around....
You can get 50 bmg for 3-5 bucks a round depending on the website and if you buy in bulk.
@@Vital_Blinks not the silver tip rounds if they are real silver tips they can be at least 20 to 50 dollars per round
His 500 nitro is almost $100 a round
@@desertsmeagol7073 thats a bad deal becaus u can get the 700 nitro for 100 a round and the 700 is a bit bigger
Love the content. If you make a video on every caliber known to man I will watch every single one.
Great video... I spent this week waiting for the Ma deuce like an idiot saying" I can't wait to see this .50 take that glove out".... but it did the same thing as the .22 ! ...educational material here.
The digital recording or rendering seems like it does some funky stuff in slow mo when moved frame by frame. Like it's using the static info from the previous frame and the bullet can't be seen but the shadow of it is there.
Didn't expect the case to hold up so well unsupported. The bullet did more than expected, but the case fragments would MORE than sting...
Right. Not that the bullet isn't dangerous like this, but that the case itself becomes potentially lethal.
Thank you for being osha compliant 😂 keep up good work
I thought it would do more damage. Nice video.
After watching all of the other videos like this, I wonder if they all sounds similar when firing like this.
all that casing fragmentation is way more dangerous than a bullet
Would like to see you do one of these where you put a couple wraps of tape around the end of the case be-it electrical or duct tape or even scotch tape, or all of the above, and see if you’d get any more force out of the round acting as a makeshift “chamber”.
Seeing .50 BMG set like that, I hope you're skilled gunsmith.
We used to throw .303 rounds into a fire pit as kids then run .They are not lethal if hit as there is no power ..
8×57 JS testing
Very cool nice
It would interest me as to where the case debrie goes...is any of it behind the fired cartridge?
As a kid, many years ago I did the same thing. Only I set a propane torch next to one.
I love the video! Awesome content! Can we please see a 357 Magnum (Liberty Ammunition 2,000 feet per second lightweight projeciles)?
.500 s&w .44 Magnum .357 magnum .38 special and mooore 👍
Qual o nome desse equipamento para teste de acionamento
I'd imagine this to have the same effect as a musket.
You should try a shotgun shell full of flash powder
im excited to see 6.8x51 /277 fury
It's the future of SBR's.
It’s crazy that the nitro express went straight through the hand but not the .50. I guess the secret to not using a barbell is a small round and lots of powder.
show us what the shell looks like... 🤔
mantap sekali video nya
I wonder how many fps those rounds are going.
What is the device that you use called that things awesome
can you do it to homemade barrel without riffling
So does all that unburnt powder burn in the barrel as the bullet travels down the barrel, or does the barrel rifleling exert enough pressure on the bullet in the case initially to promote full powder burn?
I think the seal of the bullet on barrel gives resistance just enough for the powder to go "nuclear" meaning it burns completely.
Velocities vary much. I would try few more shots at gelly hand
Dude, is this 50 BMG test or a Shrapnel IED?
I think you should use tape to surround the cartridge
How do you make your hands? I’d love to make some for my knife testing
you could try making them using rubber gloves. Pin a pair of rubber gloves to a wooden board and fill them up with the gelatin and allow them to set then peel off the rubber gloves leaving the moulded hands ready for use.
R u even thinking about all the shrapnel you are throwing, with the casing exploding?
It's going in ever direction with power of that round.
Pine board is the decisive one as that shows it is not lethal
Damn this is a real bullet?
Would be interesting to run a round through a chrono to see the velocity.
Be easier to measure with a camera and a painted background so as not to kill the poor chrono. low hundreds of fps depending on the round... definately a nasty bruise or a slight stab wound if it hit you with the point bit. The brass is the actual dangerous things here, it can easily cost you an eye or cut you pretty bad
exactly how long to wait to film the apple? 🤔
This is the weird and wonderful, off the wall shit I’m always trying to drum up in my mind. I just need to make a YT channel that’s novel. Aaaand then I didn’t
It's all the srapnel from the brass that you need to worry about
best home defense boobytrap set up
👍
Мишени надо закреплять. Эффект будет лучше.
I guess that brass can't be reloaded.....LOL!!!
Make a mini tank that shoots a 50 Bmg that would be cool
For it any bullets whiteout the barrel will be just like the firecracker. No longer have ability to kill .
약실과 총열의 힘을 보여주는 영상
I’d sign up for him to use my hand instead of ballistic gel. Doesn’t look like it hurts that bad
Tem pouco poder fora do cano! Resumindo:a arma depende da bala e a bala depende da arma ,separadas são inúteis, mas juntas liberam todo seu potencial.
When I was a kid we would take .22 and shotgun primers and wack'em with a hammer on rocks, i pulled a lot of brass out of my arms and hands. Until i grew a brain, witch didn't take long
Before I saw the watermelon I was going to ask how much someone would pay to stick my actual hand there but nevermind
Самые серьезные повреждения будут от осколков гильзы..
Just don't use it as a hammer. Yes someone actually did and lost about 2 & 1/2 fingers
Ak-47
I reload and shoot competitively (not with a 50 BMG). You spent a lot to make this video by using new brass and those A-Max bullets. For those that don't know, those projectiles cost $2.85 to $5.00 each depending on where you find them. Worse, the brass was destroyed each time.
Those bullets aren't cheap.
Basically gonna be down to luck then
That's an expensive video
Please send me one of those Bullet heads
Shove a pipe with the diameter of the projectile, and then another pipe with the diameter of the brass and then filled the void with carbon fiber and epoxy lol and the u have it a stationary trip wire .50bmg pipe gun lol
Talk about no being able to live up to your potential!
Cómo se llama la cosita
Comedian cowboy historian 101. I always wondered. Definitely debunked
Bullet speed slower than it is fired in real gun
Such a waste of good brass
😂😂😂там пороха процентов 5
My bow and arrow hits harder!
Very interesting that the case its self becomes destroyed
That’s why case support is so important in a barrel. Early Glocks had less support that allowed for reliable ammo feeds with all kinds of bullets. It also made it harder on reloaders dealing with the Glock bulge. Seems like from g3 on they were able to keep the reliable feeding but still add case support.
Nothing better to do then waste time my kind of day
who pay? why waste foods
I would say that's still lethal 😎
Waste of good ammo.
why is the shell exploding every time?
waste of good ammo
It’s not a real .50 bmg bullet because it would split the gel hand in half
what fack
these are fake 50. bmg
