FYI: The cameraman (not tsurisaki) that filmed the whole movie was charged with possessions of child pornography.

Do you mean Tsurisaki? Not Miyazaki.
Álvaro Fernández Bonilla's only credit on IMDB and LB is Orozco, and I can't find anything online about him from a quick search?

This is one of my all time favorite Mondo films. It's a shame that Orozco passed during the filming.

He had a hernia surgery and was supposed to rest afterwards but instead he went straight back to work lifting heavy bodies all by himself so his hernia returned forming a huge bulge of his intestines under the skin which got that bad they couldn't redo the surgery so he died.

This movie is essentially my hardcore mondo fan litmus test -- whenever I find someone who's seen it, it's like your part of a secret brotherhood. :p
Another great review. Have a happy holiday!

I think it's a great film. I'm not much for ultraviolent disturbing cinema generally as I found I don't have the stomach for it but this movie is increadibly hypnotic in it's calm presentation, at some point I was aware of the process and saw it as just a part of life and a job that needs doing.

This is such a minor thing to notice, but the fact that Tsurisaki made film featuring the music of Corrupted is so neat. Corrupted are such a legendary underground band, it’s cool that two ultimate entities of the Japanese underground came together for a project.

People talking about this film, should do a research, or at least, watch a video from this Japanese guy, Kiyotaka Tsurisaki stating reflexions about this film, while also sharing brief details of the surroundin circumstances at that time and space, that will bring into memory some similar phrases you used. one of them, ans shoking, he saying Orozco by his former occupation probably tortured people at an earlier date.

    • @ph0n1xz

I'm sure Orozco may have done it
In the 50s, here in Colombia, there was a political civil war between Conservadores (blue band) and Liberales (red band), and either side did really atrocious crimes like killing whole families or raiding villages to kill people just for their political affiliation (there was literally nothing else they hated eachother)
And Orozco was in his 20s when that happened so yea, he may have tortured people

@@ph0n1xz there is a movie that talks about those years "en la tormenta" By Fernando Vallejo, the same who wrote the book Our Lady of the Assassins, which was put on film by Barbet Schroeder. (Yeah the same who filmed Idi)
