Even better than silent wings 3 or pure wings 2 in some ways, I think this fan is probably the best product they've made. I have purchased a 140mm High speed for my case as an air intake. I am quite satisfied with the quietness and performance, but the high price is not satisfactory. (sorry my english is not very good)
Impressive on all fronts! Wooshy without much motor noise/resonance, high RPM & low noise. Plus a nice RGB ring on both sides. Now that you have handy, comparable stats, will you be taking requests to revisit some prior tested fans to see how they stack up with noise etc. 😏 Also, do you have a leaderboard of the top 5 fans, or even a singular 'benchmark' (tipping a Noctua?) so we can see how close each competitor comes to it? Might be an interesting reference to put in your description. Edit...Great to see others finding these tests useful. Channel's getting more & more informative 👍
I will contiue revisiting older fans, I was planning on redoing the Deepcool RF120 next. There is a chance of the bearing being in worse shape with redoing older fans though. But yes I will take requests for this. I could do a leaderboard, but I think it might be better to name some top picks for specific categories, a bit like what rtings.com does.
They seem to hit a hum around 1100..1200 like some Artic fans. I was going to move from Deepcool 120cf plus, which ticks every box bar the noise at higher rpm, but worried the light wings have that hum I hate.
it's not that bad I can hardly hear it plus I wear headphones anyways so I'm not going to hear that in a air flow close pc case I mean this test was done in the open so.
@@mrmrgaming oh word im sure i can sidestep that via workarounds. might keep as intake if thats doable, might look into it. alas. good times around the bend....ing light. although personally im extremely sensitive to sounds, and i use high impedance headphones which might make a difference in what's audible. cheers
I think the Arctic is probably better overall, including each of those aspects, except build quality which is good on both of them. The Arctic suffers from a bit of resonance compared to this, but it's not too bad at all. Looks is very subjective, I like the look of both but I prefer the look of the Arctic I think.
I can tell you the arctic's p14 argb are better than p12 for performance and low noise that's on 100% pwm temp. but the be quiet light wings 120/140 pwm high speed they are neck to neck with p14 argb.
Any specific models you want to see? I have done the Corsair SP120 RGB Elite, but I haven't done any Lian Li fans yet. The trouble with some of the Lian Li fans is that they seem to only come in 3-packs which I would rather avoid, since I only want 1 of each fan.
I haven't tried it yet. I have the AL120 though, and I think the Be Quiet probably has a better blade/aero design, but the AL120 isn't too bad and has really good looks.
If you would go for one Ring type fan out of the Light Wings, the Arctic BioniX ARGB and the Alpenföhn Wing Boost, which would you go for? (as case intake/outtake fans, not gonna run them above 1100-1200 RPM)
For intake, its probably through a filter or a mesh, and the focus of the airflow matters more, so probably the Light Wings high-speed or Arctic Bionix. For exhaust, I would use the Alpenfohn or the standard Light Wings.
Right on the money, I took the risk and got the Alpenfohn and the Light wings HS both in 140mm. Light wings are 1000x better at intake especially through a mesh panel. The light wings pretty much push air through the entirety of my case.
@@BrickDiver01 ye, in the end, i went for the Light Wings too, but the 120mm non HS ones. They are very quiet, even at higher RPMs and they keep my stuff very cool too. Very happy with them.
i have theis case and cooler and fans and oh it quiet i bought a 2 pack of 2 140m highspeeds to go up the top let me know if u want me to do a video of the fans for you i could include a startup
What's the difference between the high speed version and the normal version? Which one should I use in my case and which one should I use in my cpu air cooler? If somebody knows the answer I would appreciate if you could share it :)
I would probably use the normal one in the case and the high speed on the air cooler, although the normal one would probably be fine on the air cooler too
I personally think the SP120 Elite and probably the AF120 Elite are better designs, but those are quite new and much better than Corsair's previous designs.
@@ydihtty AF120 elite are garbage. Speaking as an owner who wants rid. Put the video of them and this side by side. normalise the volumes and hear for yourself! The corsair have awful resonence when you either increase the speed or decrease it. And they have terrible motor noise

Bought 2 pack of 3 120mm after watching these videos. Thanks a bunch man!
And yes they are silent af.
Where u went ? No making videos ? I just bought 5 of this fans just because of this video … do more 💪🏻👍🏻

Your English is great :)
Very quiet at high rpm but definitely more resonant than the low speed version. I hope the Silent Wings 4 will adopt a similar square frame design.
They are quiet until 850 rpm. More than that it will make frequency humming. Also it's enough speed. Nobody needs 1000-1500 rpm case fans
Amazing testing!!! VERY VERY HELPFUL BEST AMONG THE FANS ON MARKET!!!

Nice, can you try with the fan mount to the radiator also ? I want to know will it be noisy when it comes with the turbulence

how they working out?
impressive!
HI sir
You can try the Be quiet 140mm Pure Wings
AND
Be quiet 140mm Silent Wings
That would be great
I think they will sound similar to their 120mm equivalents, but it would be interesting to see anyway. Added to the list
