My motherboard doesn't have an argb header so thank you for mentioning that this doesn't create rgb but instead takes it from the motherboard. Almost made a pointless purchase.
Well done video 🥰🤩🥳 terrific product with decent RGB. I wish that manufacturers would apply an all in one wiring solution rather then multiple cables to power and light up the fans 👍🏆
I just got mine in. I'm going to deshroud my 3090 and put two under it so the lights will glow both down onto the PSU shroud and also shining up through the fins. Buying the three pack gives me that nifty hub so I can have all the RGB allowed! I really like your reviews. I hope manufacturers will send you all kinds of gear to show us!
Thanks for the good and informative video about the fans. I am also currently using the Light Wings High Speed and I am delighted with both the performance and the subtle RGB implementation. Of particular note is that the RGB ring is also on the back of the fan, so the back is also illuminated. So far I have always avoided be quiet fans, for optical reasons, but with the Light Wings they have built one of the most beautiful and powerful RGB fans out of nothing - a successful entry into the RGB world :D
Thanks!:) Glad you first be quiet! Experience was a good one. Unsure what about the standard design wasn’t doing it for you, but as long as you’re happy now :)
Great video bought 140mm Lightwings High Speed set them up with no radiator and with radiator inside case. Noticed right away at around 1650 rpm they make a whining noise and it just gets louder. I compared them to the Toughfan 140mm and 120mm and was like what noise it was very low compared to the Lightwings. The funny thing I have them in a Be quiet case LOL!!! I like the RGB rings on them and lots of airflow but the noise grr.
You should try the Alpenfohn Wing Boost 3, they have an high speed version too. I know you had some bad experience with their cooler, but I swear they're good. Great to pair with the MasterLiquid illusion, they look like the Halos from the side but perform well for radiators, so you can use the Halos as case fans.
They are still on our to-do list. I’m not judging a whole company by a single product here ^^ as I said in the Broken review, I believe it was just a bad unit, and as soon as I have some time clear in the schedule i’ll take a look at them:)
The T30’s are already in progress, no release date known yet but shouldn’t take too long. For those Nidec, never heard before but i’ll make sure to add them on the to-do list
@@STSYT gentle typhoon is an old school classic, it was quite popular more than a decade ago and it was also on reference r9 furyX's radiator. Even noctua yoinked its design for their NFA12x25 fans
I wish they included a PWM hub instead of the ARGB hub. One ARGB header can easily run 3 fans in daisy-chain, but I had to buy PWM splitters (from Noctua) to run my fans.
Try to make a review of Phanteks T30 they destroyed the market and I am looking for benchmarks of the T30 and light wing. I don’t know if I need RGB or not. But I wouldn’t mind a bit of lighting. I dislike strong blinding lightning and I believe Bequite did something masterpiece.
@@cchris8372 i tested myself and found high speed does not make any difference if used only as case fans. Maybe worse because they spool to high rpms which I don’t like. Anyway you have to reduce the speed so the normal ones are just fine for case but for radiators i would go for high speed one
I purchased the 3pack of the 120mm pwm fans 11% cheaper on Amazon for a total of $84.89 prime shipped, and a single 120mm lights wings fan for my AIO.I'm new to rgb fans what is the extra male rgb cable for? is it to connect it to my other fans?. When my 2yr warranty is up with my NZXT BLD pc i'm putting my pc into the newly purchase Be Quiet Pure Base 500DX and I have already installed my Light Wings fans ahead of time. Now to wait until Feb 2023 to transfer my parts over.
I'm trying to figure out how I should set this up. I need 6x120mm fans. 3 on the front panel, 2 for my AIO that is top mounted, and 1 for rear exhaust. Should I get 2x 3 packs of the normal Light Wings, or 1x 3 pack of High-Speed and 1x 3 pack of Normal?
Would you recommend to use the non high speed version for case fans (intake w/dust filter and exhaust out back) or look at a different fan (P14 ARGB, Lian Li UNI Fan SL120/140 V2, CM SickleFlow 140)?
If you have the space, P14 ARGB. For the HS vs non HS question, generally I tend to prefer HS versions. Ignoring the design change in this specific line, they tend to cost the exact same amount. And I don’t see a reason to get a slower one if i can get the quicker one and just limit it
No RGB ... lol 10yrs+ ago i do G but then got sick of the blink and off it mostly ... since years ago no more lights no more led no more blinks ... yucks ...
Although I get both sides of that RGB question, I feel like it’s getting more and more difficult to even find parts without lights. Some years ago RGB was something you would pay for, nowadays it seems you’re paying a premium to not have them there. Not that I don’t appreciate the improvements made in the last years, just an observation.
I can vouch for the quality of the fans. They are just beautiful. Bought 7

Nice. Only thing they needed was a modular connection option. I really don't like all those cables - seems very primitive imo.

@STS Why are your three RGB fans (3:32) blowing air into the mesh. Shouldn't the three front fans be intake fans?
Hello sir
Hi Avrona Can I daisy chain 2 aRGB fans together into a 3-pin JRAINBOW on the motherboard?
They Look beautiful when I take off the Bequiet sticker.
Or just wait for the re-design. New be quiet! stuff seems to be all-black

Just brought 2 3packs of these bad Boys because of your video 😁 dropped a sub also !
On the fence between these and SilverStone Shark Force 120 performance enhanced ARGB PWM fans.
Edit: Kinda leaning towards the SilverStone.
Haven't tested the Shark Force in 120 yet, so I don't wanna do any assumptions

I just got the triple pack. There is screw holes in the back to mount the hub in an ssd spot in my case!

Thanks!
We’re setting everything up. Should be public in a couple of days:)

hello! can u change the color of these?
will they turn on just connecting the 4pin ? i dont have a rgb connector on my motherboard.
They will spin just fine, but no light though
Would these be better than the 3-pack P12 ARGB fans on a AIO rad?
Depends on the rad, fans are not a one-way solution
So the 120mm version is better than the 140mm? Which one should I get out of all lightwing line up? Thank you!!
