The suggested steps for working with the video:

2. Then watch it again, paying attention to the vocabulary.
3. Now that you think you understand the major plot of the story, check yourself by referring to the summary below.

Summary of the story:
Serge and his wife Lena have been together for many years already. This story is about how they met each other. Serge was nineteen. He was studying in Paris. Lena was an exchange student from Russia. Soon Serge and Lena dated. But Lena had to leave France.
They exchanged their addresses. Serge promised to write to her. In a few months, he made himself forget about Lena. He wasn't ready to go to Russia. He knew she wouldn't be able to go to France.
In three years, he understood Lena was the best girl. He wrote to her. The letter came back. She'd changed the address. In five years, he met her on a blind date. He made her forgive him, but it's a different story.
What if I don't understand everything?
Remember - understanding every word is not your goal. Your goal is to grasp the essence of the story and enrich your vocabulary.
