Matt has also advocated on the importance of mental health especially being a college/pro athlete!! I wish he talked more about his experience and talked about those healthy alternatives to push through but also being able to validate those emotions as an athlete.

I remember one champions league final, it was in Germany. Kazan vs trentino maybe on 2016. Kazan were 2-0 down, trentino was playing extremely well and out of nowhere, they took the match to the 5th set and won the gold. That was SUCH a great and historical match

Question: Matt’s jersey #1 got retired by Zenit Kazan when he left the team. I researched and found out that Lloy Ball also used #1 jersey with Zenit Kazan and they retired that jersey number when he left. So they unretired the #1? And now, another player is using the #1 jersey at Zenit Kazan, a Russian setter named Roman Poroshin. So what’s the point of retiring jerseys when they don’t really them. LOL
