    Thank god for that. We didnt need another video like “the top 11 hidden features in Logic 11 that apple didn’t want to tell you about” 🤪

    Someone asked me if Jono would have a logic 11 video up today. I told them hell no, Jono is more teacher than mere RUclips personality.
    Your credibility is top! Pure class.
    Can’t wait to learn your takes on the new features.

      Ha! Thanks so much. You're right, we'll get to all the new and good stuff soon. But we'll let all of the reaction videos happen first... ; )

    Thanks for another great video, Jono. I reckon fade outs came from the radio stations when they started rock n roll tunes. They probably needed a way to merge from one tune to another, unlike classical stuff which tends to come to a natural end. Just a thought.

      That's an insightful theory - may well be right. Thanks!

    Thanks for the video. And I believe the term you're looking for is "proportionate to"

    At a future point in time, I want to pick up music and buy Logic Pro, there are some really clear easy-to-follow snippets that will help. Subbed today, cheers.

    My last song I used the speed up and slow down fade outs with incredibly cool effects
    Very very powerful tool for layering ear candy in transitional spots

    Nice, what I also like to do is to apply some kind of moving high/low pass filter while fading, as it changes the sound even more dramatically to end the song. I guess whoever invented fading songs was annoyed of being woken up at the end of each concert with the big finale/coda bang..

      That's a lovely idea - timbral change as volume change happens alongside it. Thanks for sharing!

    In my opinion the fade out gives the impression that that music continues without you.

    Fantastic. 👏 Can pre/post fade auxiliaries be automated if we wanted to toggle between their usage on the same track? Or would we need to create a duplicate track activated when necessary with the other fade option enabled?

    • @jonobuchananmusic
      @jonobuchananmusic  3 месяца назад +1

      Hi Jennifer. That's a really interesting question. There is - in theory - no reason why you couldn't set up two sends to the same Auxiliary effect, one of which was Post-Fade and one Pre-Fade. And then, absolutely, you could Automate the send levels, the level of the Track feeding those Auxiliaries itself and, of course, the level of the Effects Auxiliary too. Maximum flexibility! The only note of caution I'd strike would be to try to avoid using both of the Aux sends at the same time, as you'll soon overwhelm the amount of level being sent to the Effects Aux. I hope that all makes sense!
