Been reading some of the comments, and I have to say that I love how a song about human rights, social equity, and the fight for what's right makes people go crazy and write so many negative comments. It just shows you how we live in a technological era and how people lost any shred of humanity they one possessed. The fight for freedom and equality is still present today, all over the world people are being killed for being of a different culture, religion, belief or skin color. It is sad and I hope that we will continue to have civil right leaders who will fight for the common man, be it Malcolm X, Martin Luther King, Ghandi, Mother Theresa, Hassan Nasrallah or the likes, and I wish for a better tomorrow for our children!

Since the attack on Charleston, I was brought back to this video. I feel it is a reminder of the promise that MLK, Malcolm X, and so many others have fought and are fighting for. I believe in that promise. Black lives matter.
We all born for the Glory of the Freedom. I'm sure that all of you could tell your children and others that you'd fight for your Glory one day, that is the freedom you should have. Maybe I'd not fight with you, but every time I learned the history from the book I'd cried out from the inside and I'm proud of that I'm a part of human with you .
I have the great joy of being the grandson of someone who took part in this movement and of someone who shook hands with MLK #FREEDOMFORTHEPEOPLE May the war end soon and may we all be equal
We just preformed this song for our young americans workshop and it was the first one in Scotland... very emotional and moving... loved it and the YA 2016
If you have watched the Oscars, you may have noticed that when Common received the award, he gave a short speech about giving support to the people in Hong Kong. You may be puzzled by his words so please let me fill you in as I am a HongKonger. Last year, 2014, 28th September, HongKongers decided we have had enough of the compression of the Government. Therefore, a movement of occupying of streets broke out at Admiralty, which is next to the Governors office. The aim of the movement was clear as glass,it was to demand true democracy, universal suffrage. But the Government did not give any positive feedback to us HongKongers. So, the movement continued. But, as Admiralty was an important economic area of Hong Kong. With people sleeping on the streets, traffic was affected. So as to shoo the protesters away, the Hong Kong Police got orders to make protesters leave. To be efficient, violence was used on protesters, while many of the protesters were students and teenagers. All kinds of tools were used, such as sticks , pepper spray and tear gases. This damaged the good image of the Police. At this point, the occupying of streets is already over as we, unarmed civilians, do not have the strength to fight back the hostile and brain washed police. But our desire and demand of democracy is not over. And it never will. So, I am asking for your attention to this movement in Hong Kong. The Umbrella Movement. Your kind attention is already a great helping hand to our way towards democracy. Thankyou for your patience, reading this, and please also do accept my apologies for the awful grammar and choice of words. I have no intention of offending anyone and I send my deepest apologies for those who feel offendedn the above passage. Thankyou.
I love this song it kinda open up my eyes on the fact that because of the color of our skin we are slave, gunman, thief, gang bangers....but we are not what they say we are, or want us to be because God control our destiny not then so let's Love one another like we suppose to do. Pace

Since the attack on Charleston, I was brought back to this video. I feel it is a reminder of the promise that MLK, Malcolm X, and so many others have fought and are fighting for. I believe in that promise. Black lives matter.
Happy Martin Luther King Dr. Day 2019 💙
Cry for everybody there, feel this is the legend that all generation after Selma never forget.
Who's here listening through and walking through 1880's with me. Like if you're still here in 2024. I will come back in 2025.
I saw this at school I cried when the church blew up poor girls I love this movie it's so powerful people struggle due to race
I have the great joy of being the grandson of someone who took part in this movement and of someone who shook hands with MLK
#FREEDOMFORTHEPEOPLE
May the war end soon and may we all be equal
We just preformed this song for our young americans workshop and it was the first one in Scotland... very emotional and moving... loved it and the YA 2016
so emotional, one of the young Americans were crying singing this
The Oscars brought me here. Got misty-eyed with Common and John's performance.
The song inspires a lot of feeling but the most important thing is the fight for freedom between human races 🙏🏻 #ALLLIVESMATTER
Pace
David Oyelowo, the legend

One day when the glory comes
It will be ours, it will be ours
Oh one day when the war is won
We will be sure, we will be sure
Oh glory (Glory, glory)
Oh (Glory, glory)
Hands to the Heavens, no man, no weapon
Formed against, yes glory is destined
Every day women and men become legends
Sins that go against our skin become blessings
The movement is a rhythm to us
Freedom is like religion to us
Justice is juxtapositionin' us
Justice for all just ain't specific enough
One son died, his spirit is revisitin' us
Truant livin' livin' in us, resistance is us
That's why Rosa sat on the bus
That's why we walk through Ferguson with our hands up
When it go down we woman and man up
They say, "Stay down", and we stand up
Shots, we on the ground, the camera panned up
King pointed to the mountain top and we ran up
One day when the glory comes
It will be ours, it will be ours
Oh one day when the war is won
We will be sure, we will be sure
Oh glory (Glory, glory)
Oh (Glory, glory)
Now the war is not over, victory isn't won
And we'll fight on to the finish, then when it's all done
We'll cry glory, oh glory (Glory, glory)
Oh (Glory, glory)
We'll cry glory, oh glory (Glory, glory)
Oh (Glory, glory)
Selma's now for every man, woman and child
Even Jesus got his crown in front of a crowd
They marched with the torch, we gon' run with it now
Never look back, we done gone hundreds of miles
From dark roads he rose, to become a hero
Facin' the league of justice, his power was the people
Enemy is lethal, a king became regal
Saw the face of Jim Crow under a bald eagle
The biggest weapon is to stay peaceful
We sing, our music is the cuts that we bleed through
Somewhere in the dream we had an epiphany
Now we right the wrongs in history
No one can win the war individually
It takes the wisdom of the elders and young people's energy
Welcome to the story we call victory
The comin' of the Lord, my eyes have seen the glory
One day when the glory comes
It will be ours, it will be ours
Oh one day when the war is won
We will be sure, we will be sure
Oh glory (Glory, glory)
Oh (Glory, glory)
Oh glory (Glory, glory)
Hey (Glory, glory)
When the war is won, when it's all said and done
We'll cry glory (Glory, glory)
Oh (Glory, glory)
Thank you
There are parliamentary elections in Venezuela on Sunday, may the glory come on that day upon us.
HAPPY MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY ,FOLKS!!!😁👍❤
#Freedom is like a religion to us"..."That's why Rosa sat on the bus" ...The artistic genius built into this work of cultural and musical art is past amazing. I remember all of these years, they were my years, our years...all Americans stand or fall together so these are all of our years. I laud the artists behind this work. Sara Niles
Wakanda forver shout out to Chadwick Boseman rip 🙏🏿🙏🏾🙏🏽
Screw all to the people who disliked this
This is so beautiful ✊🏿 BLM
The rap made it for me. I love Legend's voice and it could definitely stand on it's own. But Common's rapping tells the story guys. I don't know what it is, but it just feels so strong, even though it's so low and smooth and calm.
