We were without power for 50 hours and I consider myself lucky. No trees up rooted and I was within 10 miles (between 99 and 249) of where the tornado hit. Still praying for those with damage. ❤
Lived in Houston my whole life, almost 50 years and have not seen anything like this. The closest is the May 1983 bow echo that caused several tornados, but the straight line winds never reached 100 mph. Sadly older areas like the Heights suffer the worst due to all the large trees. One good thing from this is if we get a hurricane this year there will be less damage due to this storm taking things out that were weak.
