Immortalized forever, in Disneyland's original HAUNTED MANSION, since 1969. The Singing Busts were the vocal group, The Mellomen. They are a group of undead characters who appear as the lead singers of 'Grim Grinning Ghosts' in the Graveyard. HEARD AND SEEN, IN THIS VIDEO. From left to right, the names of the busts are Rollo Rumkin (Verne Rowe), Uncle Theodore (Thurl Ravenscroft), Cousin Algernon (Chuck Schroeder), Ned Nub (Jay Meyer), and Phineas P. Pock (Bob Ebright). Thurl was a famous bass singer and is best known as the voice of Tony The Tiger. I own a signed photo from the great Thurl Ravenscroft. The Mellomen were a popular singing quartet active from the late 1940s through the mid-1970s. The group was founded by Thurl Ravenscroft and Max Smith in 1948. They recorded under a variety of names, including Big John and the Buzzards, the Crackerjacks, the Lee Brothers, and the Ravenscroft Quartet. They were sometimes credited as the Mellowmen, the Mello Men, or the Mellow Men. They sang backup to some of the best-known artists of the day, including Rosemary Clooney, Bing Crosby, Doris Day, Arlo Guthrie, Frankie Laine, Peggy Lee, Elvis Presley, and Jo Stafford.
Fun Fact: If you have Bluetooth headphones, try to stick one ear on the head and the other without the headphone, you actually hear this, L: Only 2nd Statue Singing R: All the other statues but without the 2nd statue singing.
Fun Fact: Jay Meyer originally portrayed Rollo Rumkin while Verne Rowe played Ned Nub. Later on, their faces were switched for unknown reasons. Though I think it might have something to do with Verne looking to his left whenever he's singing, so I think they changed it so it looked like Rollo was looking down at Uncle Theodore while singing.
Never knew that if you use only one of the earpieces on a headphone set that certain audios are completely muted. If you use the left earpiece, you can only hear the center left bust singing, but if you use the right earpiece, you can hear everyone else.
That low bass voice of Thurl Ravenscroft is to DIE for
Indeed. It's grrrrrrreat!
A true Disney Legend
This is honestly one of the catchiest saloon piano songs I've ever heard and I love it. Please never delete this video
0:56 Thurl's evil ghost cackle!

Thurl Ravenscroft is on the left channel. The Mellotones are on the right channel. The instrumental music is on the dead center channel
i saw someone had these projected onto their windows while i was trick or treating this year

Is it me? I'm only hearing Thurl and no one else here. What happened to the audio on the other parts?
the other audio is on the right side of the headphones, so that might be dead on your end, no pun intended
Thurl is on the left channel. The Mellotones are on the right channel
