Najee has had 3 straight 1k rushing yard seasons and people are mad we are wanting his 5th year option picked up …. we finally have built a good line for him and jaylen warren to run behind

It's a longer season so it's not hard. You can avg 80yards a game and gain 1,000 yards Ina season.. that's 20 yards a quarter in a game

I cant wait until Najee really breaks out with an Oline and viable passing offense. The Najee hate has been so frustrating as someone who watches every Steelers snap. This is big facts im sick of the Najee hate. Im sick of people saying jaylen is better and we can send najee packing. I swear people forget what happened in dallas. Everybody loved Zeke till pollard came along. But as soon as they shipped Zeke out what happened Pollard became very mid. I feel that same thing would happen to warren if they ship Najee out.
@@yencha6524 True! It's a whole different game at RB when the defense knows you're running it vs coming in on passing downs facing a softer defensive front. I like Warren a lot he's a perfect change of pace back for Najee but I think Najee is the perfect durable bellcow back for Pittsburgh. Also now that defenses are going to have to respect the pass and he has a more talented line Najee should have much bigger holes to run through.

Jones was on the bench week 1 last year and later talked about how that time helped him to develop. It's hard to start as a rookie tackle in the NFL. Don't be shocked if Fautanu is on the bench week 1. Doesn't mean it's a failed pick or a bust.

The real issue in here is how much to pay the RB room?
Najee’s 5th yr option would also be Warren’s FA yr.
They could offer either an extension and Najee’s deal would be more expensive while Warren’s would quite likely be very cheap.
My preference would be to extend Warren and let Najee walk after the season and keep the dual back system going with someone new on the rookie deal.
The direction they’re going in with this OL means they shouldn’t have a problem finding a RB that can get 80%+ of Najee’s production at a fraction of the cost. Najee probably wants ~$10M per year and a rookie would be ~$1M.
Also remember we'll be having need at both guard positions in a year or two, I wouldn't be surprised if the Steelers are drafting big boys in the next 3 drafts in the first round with needs surfacing at DL and G with secondary picks at some skill positions, namely DB & WR

i was watching a program where they were saying they should just leave broderick at RT because hes a better run blocker, and troy F is a better pass blocker and better footing abilities so hed be a better a LT.
We need a #1 receiver a vet to lead the team until George grows up or he’s gone. That’s why we are going big time receiver. We are not doing mediocre anymore if you haven’t noticed what Kahn is building.
Huge Steeler fan, but I feel like if we don’t get a wide receiver as good as at least Tyler Boyd 60 career receptions 6000 yards and 31 touchdowns according to Google cuz we can’t have one wide receiver he’ll be double teamed and they load up on the box to stop the run game. It’s over. Not counting on a rookie and Calvin Austin isn’t any good 31 receptions 180 yards in one touchdown and he can’t stay healthy every time he gets hit he’s out of the game. We don’t pick up another wide receiver. I feel like everything we’ve done. This off-season was for nothing.
I also have a strong belief that Naja is not happy with the Steelers organization and wants to be traded. He just doesn’t go on social media and blow it up for the world to see he will be part of a massive trade to bring in a big-time receiver Watch.

If Frazier and Fautanu start...and with Jones going into his 2nd year we might just have the youngest o-line in the league--wouldn't we? It might take a year or so for everything to gel...so everyone be patient.
I agree. But they was actually looking pretty solid second half of the season last year, especially in the run game. Only difference would be Frazier this year who HAS to be better than Cole.

If that means Broderick is back at right tackle- GREAT. He played well there. And why the hell would you think we drafted Troy to be a right tackle?!?! He didn't play that position in college. Might he end up there? Sure, but to assume you know where everyone should be is ridiculous. We don't even know that Moore will lose the job. He's gotten (slightly) better each year and this is a contract year.

Of course they're gonna start Dan Moore for the first 7-8 weeks. He'll be horrific, it'll be unjustifiable, then the O-line will finally gel once the bums like Moore are finally gone, & they'll have to rally from not playing their talented rookies to barely squeak into the playoffs again.
I dont see Najee as a leader. He's a guy who just grumbles about stuff. You know the guy. The co-worker or employee who is complaining as he comes into work. Works hard. Informs of you of a few things you need to know. Then goes back to his little world to work until someone asks him something again. Thats not a leader, but that person has a role. He keeps you attune of issues. Leader on this team will be Russell Wilson. He is vocal and personable. Everybody on this offense is going to lay low to get a read on Russ. All except the grumbler, who whistles to his own tune as he works.
