I've been making jungle and breakbeat music for 10+ years and you are the youtuber I've always been searching for. Great mix of oldskool vibes and modern production. Thank you!
bro, you're a legend! been a junglist forever but have never got into producing it because of the level of complexity involved. your channel has definitely eased the journey. thank you!!!
Big ups! Your tutorials are always great and give great results. I actually sound design mostly on outboard hardware, but these techniques can be easily applied even in that space with some thought!
Will add it to the cue, been a couple requests for that sound (someone asked for it from the Enei remix of Sam Binga) until I get there, you can pretty much get it from this video, you just need to take it a few steps further: ruclips.net/video/K9XBJ0UMkiE/видео.html
Great vid. Old school DnB head here. Didn't know this was a modern sound. Sounds like Groove Riders Where's Jack the Ripper that was released in 98' and many other tracks along those lines.
Hiya mate. Just wanted to let you know; I stumbles across your videos a couple days ago and have already gone thru most of them!! You’re tutorials are brilliant and have up’ed my game in production loads. Just wanted to let you know and say Thank You!! Keep at it!!
Finally, someone with experience who is familiar with the U.K. dnb scene. Hope you got some more tutorials coming soon brudda. You should definitely think about doing a U.K. dnb playlist of videos. You could tutorials on all the hottest sounds in the scene right now
Referring to 4:16 : My horse shoe icon at the cutoff poti (ENV 2) is different than yours: my poti is right in the middle of the horse shoe - yours is at the beginning... How can it be so important to set the cutoff first before applying the ENV 2?
Its crazy I found you via soundcloud whilst looking for some bootlegs and even played your oh no remix at an event In London recently and now I'm trying to freshen up on my production skills I find your name again. You're a beast and I love your music. Keep em comin
@@STRANJAH No problem, ive been following your tutorials and you explain very well and the end result is always really good. You teach some useful techniques
Great video :) would you maybe be able to recreate the higher-octave sounding foghorns that are in tracks such as Magic Carpet - Bou or Pressure - Ben Snow, thanks :)
Excellent video, thanks! Any ideas on replicating the Hyper/Dimension effect from Serum in Vital? Isn't it really just a mixed additional combo layer of Unison voices, detune, and rate change, coupled with the ability to increase or decrease the size (like saturation)?
You should check out DJ Limited - The Elephant VIP if you haven't already, and figure out how to make that out lol. I would love to see that but I can't even imagine where to start.
Pretty monster sounding bass. I made something like it years ago ruclips.net/video/KtDqnA51jaE/видео.html on my Virus B. Ask me how I did it, I don't remember, hellish sound I've ever made. I'll look into the Elephant VIP, thanks Mikil.
You're ok dude I like your short tuts.. technique hasn't changed much over the time filters & distortion + now everybody use fm, but without fm you'll get a more constant melody note which will give more of a riff in the end instead of just dull noise. Check out some Dillinja or Tech itch basslines you'll know what i mean.,)
'Moondog's music took inspiration from street sounds, such as the subway or a foghorn. It was characterized by what he called "snaketime" and described as "a slithery rhythm, in times that are not ordinary [...] I'm not gonna die in 4/4 time". en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moondog
Great video man!! would you be interested in doing a tutorial on drums like Mr DATA3- Modular to be more specific, they are just soo good and tech. cheers!!
i want to thank you, your videos are very helpful and informative. i use cubase myself but i still find your videos for beginners very helpful. DNB4LIFE.
I knew it, it had to come, me and my friends call it Pacific Rim and not fog horn, it’s like a big transformer bass🇬🇧More knowledge and science, thank you for your time and insight into the dark arts🧟♂️

Very nice work man, love your style
@@cameroncarr4779 can literally just "Detune" 2 sine waves. (in ableton make the "fine" to like 85-100) and boom. process to taste.

Been looking for a good foghorn bass tutorial with Serum! This was really easy to follow and gave me a lot of ideas, great work!!
amazing tutorial, thank you for showing some amazing insight to a great sound.
Dude I learn so much from you :)
Love serum 🖤
Increasing the resonance and drive in the filter slightly will bring out more of those mid/ moaning sounds around 100-200 hertz 👌🏾
Another neat sound. Really menacing! Thanks for sharing with us, all your time and hard working in solidifying this new sound!
Thanks I'm glad you can appreciate this. It a modern take on the oldschool reese-type sounds we grew up with.
OMG...You are the best...this sound design is sickkkkk. :) very dark sound. Love it. Thank you mucho ;)
Your welcome Jason!
