On Stage Rig Walkthrough with Jeff Schroeder of The Smashing Pumpkins!

- The Music Zoo works very closely with Yamaha guitars to bring the absolute best electric and acoustic guitars to you, and we're fortunate enough to have started a great working relationship with some of the fine folks in The Smashing Pumpkins camp, namely their longstanding guitarist Jeff Schroeder who is a devoted Yamaha player.
We drove down to the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia to go on stage with Jeff and his tech Trace Davis to get a close up look at the Yamaha guitars he plays onstage every night. There's even a special appearance by our friend Adam Reiver of FU-Tone, who outfitted Jeff's Custom Shop Pacifica with a full titanium Floyd Rose tremolo and locking nut setup.

The FU parts made a huge difference in my guitars! I use the springs and tone blocks and my guitars never go out of tune and the sustain is amazing now!

How is he bypassing the Revv pramp and using it as a power amp only with the Revival Drive? I don't believe it has a power amp in.
Jeff is an awesome dude. I'm certain Billy was involved. Billy speaking highly of him in recent interviews may have been damage control
Hey Jeff, hail some of the Yamaha guys to bring back the pacifica 1200 series which yours is clearly modeled after. No better looking superstrat out there.
Goes to show - he's playing pro shows with a $900 guitar. You don't need more.

OK so I'm here because I watched SP do Empires on Stern and Saw Jeff Schroeder playing this white 24 fret guitar, but didn't recognize it from anywhere, so I waited for a close up on him when he was soloing, paused it, then zoomed in on the headstock...and was like "hold it; that's a Yamaha...", so I go to the Yamaha website...no 24 fret guitars; just 22, and the closest thing I could find was a Pacifica...no Floyd, though, so I thought maybe he was playing an older discontinued model, so searched Reverb...not there...there were these RGX ones from way back, but none looked like the guitar he was playing...so that's how I ended up here...sad to hear in this video that it is a custom and not available to the general public...hopefully soon? I hope so...
