I know some people who have been fired from organizations who in fact turned around and started scams. For example, I knew a bail bondsman in Memphis, TN who started an immigration scam. He would find clients "Illegals" in the United States who fled here from other countries, and he would target them to sign up for his permanent resident cards. He would also send bounty hunters who was in on scam to act like they were looking for them to deport them and he made a lot of money off this scam until a Citizen of the USA brought it to the fed's attention because the illegals didn't know any better

Makes me want to laugh a little about the fact that the classic way to scam still exist, and a scammer comparing to an ethical hacker the scammer wouldn't know anything behind the the curtains.

I did that with someone who sent me a scam text message who sent me "their picture" and just saved and looked it up online through google image and found out the picture was some jewelry model. I copied another picture of the same person and sent it back to them, never heard back from them again lol

If you were already emailing him, you could've thrown an invisible tracking pixel into the email that sends a GET request to server you control. Then just check the logs and find the IP. That way instead of having to worry about them clicking the link, you can get the IP as soon as they open the email.

I heard from multiple tech RUclipsrs that VPN IPs are public so anyone can see to which VPN they belong to.

Unfortunately if the scammer is using VPN, it’s almost impossible for you to know. It takes a tech savvy plus social engineering

@epsweepstakes but if the scammer is at a public wifi, or is using a VPN, getting their IP address won't do any good. Am I right?
