Kenworth should be able to fix the limiter on the K220 next service. We had a DAF that would only do 97 or so and we had enough, told them to fix it during the service at Kenworth in Derrimut and they did. We told them to fix it when we actually dropped the truck off, so whether or not that was the difference maker. The lady at reception must have made a note of it because the DAF was sitting happy at 101kmh when we picked it up.
The K200 is a way better machine than the K220. I love me some gauges. Also the Speedo and RPM gauges are now like the Clock and AdBlue gauges. You can’t change the globes. Also ever since my dad changed jobs from market running to flat top general frigate. I haven’t seen Melbourne in a long time
Old School? Recently, Peterbilt announced that 2023 will be the last year for their beloved & famous long hood 389. It will be replaced with their new 579EV. !
Yes have read that, have to move on I guess, all about sales figures I'm thinking. the Ev might be good for local work only does 150 miles then 3 3-hour charge. I need a truck to do 600 miles to do my job each night 10-hour recharge would be ok.
Darn nuisance limiter not set properly, an Isuzu I drove had a mechanical limiter fhat didn't power up again until it slowed to 95 if you just did 101. Best thing that happened, the cable broke allowing 140 if you were game!
All the trucks have been put up to 100 now, saves a little time now, know what you mean goes to 96/97 before it powers up again, not good for the truck traveling behind.
6:15 - and that makes a difference over a 10 hour trip, going the legal 100 instead of way too conservative 97, less time for you as driver with your mandatory breaks as well
Yes. should have been a bit further back, In reasonably heavy traffic, going between 60 to 80. I know a lot of drivers say hard to stop a truck weighing 65 tonnes, have never been that heavy with this job, 18 sets of brakes can stop the truck at a good distance when you need to.

Hi, The Truck went back to Kenworth for follow-up after the last repair, they did put the speed up to 100kmh., and the speedometer is now accurate.
Daytime videos are easier to watch. Thanks a bunch
most of the drive is done at night. daylight savings means more opportunity for sunlight videos.
Great video Rod, Stay safe out there.

The 220 I drive does do 100 now, and definitely does save time even going from Melbourne to Tarcutta, can easily do the unhook and hook up in 5 hours.
Whats the auto like in the new 200 rod as good as the 220
Rod doesn't your seat cover travel with you any more of course company policy 😅😅😅😅
Company policy, and has hip and back problems, harder to get in and out of trucks now.
You look a bit close to the truck infant
