Vanitas is the darkness in Ventus’ heart given form by Master Xehanort and the reason he looks like Sora is that Sora and Ventus connected hearts to supplement Ventus’s missing pieces of his heart. When Sora was born Vanitas took on the face of Sora because that was the only connection that he had to Ven when Xehanort extracted him and gave him a body.
Sora was already around when they made that connection, I thought?
And since Sora was the one keeping Ventus alive, Vanitas took on the form of Sora instead of Ven.
Except in ReMind where Vanitas says that actually isn't true, and Union kinda sorta supporting that revelation/retcon.
Xehanort was making bodies before Vexen. So that that make the replicas plagiarism?
More like when Sora mended the broken heart of Ventus with his own the piece that was missing, Vanitas, took the form of the replacement piece which is Sora.
You know, I knew all that, and yet I still have a hard time wrapping my head around it

@@Spritus3241 dear lord... I was making a funny comment... I get the plot but you have to admit that they retconned plenty of things over the course of the series by making everything unnecessarily connected to one another.
@@christiandelcarmen1278 still not paying attention then, if you actually take in the information game by game you'll realise it's more about recontextualising what you know more than just adding bits as they go.
@@Spritus3241 alright then. It's not like everyone has the time, energy and work ethic to meticulously comb the gordian knot that is KH Canon Plot.
I mean, what do I know? I'm just a casual gamer who just enjoys the game that I'm playing. Because apparently, Kingdom Hearts can only be properly enjoyed by those who hold all the crumbs of knowledge when broad-ish strokes are good enough for a lot of the *casual* fans.
Yeah, I could recontextualize. But that would mean that I would have to devote a significant amount of time, combing through ALL the lore dumped by each game. So I apologize if I insulted your very existence because of my bad attempt at summarizing the comic for comedic intents and purposes.

Was wondering when you were gonna voice this. Big fan of both the artist and your voice acting.
Okay, but that was actually a good way of describing the kh characters that come, even partially from sora. Like, xion is a recalled mannequin that's based on the older sora model, roxas is the emo isles outfit, ventus the model that came out before sora, and vanitus is the older emo outfit, leaving kairi as the female mannequin, and namine as that mannequin with the unique poseablity... I've spent 5 minutes too long thinking on this.
What does that make Riku then?
Ok Prompto think of Sora as a voice actor he can voice about four characters. When one starts talking he becomes that character. Make sense?

To be fair, im not sure even the creator can understand the lore, given he created it as he went along
Vanitas is theorized to be the Darkness that possessed slash hid inside Ventus ever since the end of the initial Keyblade War and later traveled to the future with him following the permanent collapse of the Keyblade Unions and Daybreak Town
the Darkness remained dormant in Ventus until Xehanort extracted it by force with his Keyblade, resulting in the birth of Vanitas, who is a separate entity from Ventus, but is connected to him due to being born from his heart, Vanitas would later gain a connection with Sora, because Sora unknowingly shared his heart with Ventus, an act that caused Vanitas to share Sora's appearance, much like how Roxas shares Ventus's appearance

Ventus is the heart Roxas the body and xion I don't know maybe a replica or a vessel of soras memories about kairi and namine is soras manipulator for his memories and sora is I dk a dull boy who everyone is calling him gay and such

The Vanitas VA is better than the actual character's direction in KH3.
I'm sure it would be easier to explain if he/Square could keep his story straight.
Vanitas is kind of the easiest to understand. Vanitas is the Darkness hidden inside Ven (Vanitas may or may not be an Eldritch being of Darkness but either way the basic concept is still there) he got ripped out of Ven unevenly so when Ven got his heart fixed by Sora Vanitas looked like Sora because of that internal connection. Honestly long winded but pretty easy to grasp.
@@tuckinatorinator787 Yes, at least until someone says "Did you actually believe that?" like they did in ReMind. Most of KH is easy to understand, the problem is just that they keep changing it so we don't even know what can be considered true regarding pretty much anything at all.
@@vadandrumist1670 yeah But I thought would’ve helped fix a couple of issues and most of which changed is connected to Xehanort And the director does hear about criticism so hopefully he’s refined his skills with a pen going forward he likes leaving bread crumbs one might argue a little to much. That being said the sleeping room Siri can go die in a chemical fire before being launched into the sun then black hole then to the shadow realm Thanos snapped Add about 20 roundtrips of all that just to be safe
