That late Pestermite pickup was so good, I would never had gone for that and had such a good deck. The draws you had were astonishingly bad. Enjoyed the draft nonetheless. Thank you LSV, keep 'em coming!
LOVE YOUR CONTENT! I do think you flew close to the sun with this deck. You had great cards and great fixing for limited, but still not enough fixing to be running this variety of stuff. But maybe that's just my bias from seeing how so many of these games worked out.
Yeah, I think drafting straight boros aggro would have been insanely powerful here, especially with 2 on color moxen. So many back-breaking turn one plays.
I was wondering why you played daredevil, they obviously had ancestral I was so excited I thought you also got the read and we’re gonna draw 3 on turn 2...
After watching game 1, I really think, LSV should have played 15 lands instead of 14. Or what do the others think? :) Because he really got mana screwed...
Thing is, he played 23 cards and 17 free mana sources including the triple Moxi which is pretty standard if not one more than expected so it's hard to say deckbuilding was the problem here. It's not really "14 lands" when you have a Mox. EDIT: I will say however (18:05) that given the actual cards he's playing with, perhaps 10 red sources and 9 blue would have been a better bet. Most of the time I agree but this draft just didn't dish out those important blue cards.
@@2LettersSho Agreed that 4 color with little fixing was likely the problem. Also, even a mediocre draft like me could see that mono-red/boros aggro was wide open, and no surprise that of all games only one was won through kiki, were pretty much every other win was due to boros aggro winning despite the other cards (sure, in one game the blue 3/1 flying flash was great too...)
The time is December 1993. "K, I'll play a swamp, a Mox Jet and a Hypnotic Specter." - "Dude, you can't do that!" "Why not?" - "You already played a swamp, you can't play the Mox Jet" "Really? But it's not a land. It's an artifact." - "Doesn't matter" "Isn't the card pretty bad than?" - "Yes, it's trash." "man..."
i really hate mox diamond. yeah, it can turbo out some early plays sometimes. it's also a dead draw later in games, a horrible draw if you're short on lands early, and card disadvantage always. don't understand why it is valued so highly by a good number of people.
Mono green isn’t that fun but I got destroyed by a UG deck yesterday running Uro and Karakas along with Upheaval. I think straight mono green is more compelling in unpowered cube but in vintage there’s some wild stuff.
"oh maybe we could get a late Kiki"
>Passed a Kiki
HE CANT KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT
Why are you trying to greentext on RUclips
@@Luckingsworth you do realize that this was used in email and usenet long before 4chan?
LSV is easily the most informative drafter in the MTG community. His experience speaks for itself. Love it!
Ben Stark exists too, but you may be right.
@@jimmycarlson4871 You are absolutely right, Ben S is also a limited legend.
@@GarrettJuice69 Ben S and of course there's my man Luca, LVD, aka Legend.
@@nathanhowland666 I love Caleb, but would not call his drafts informative :D
Definitely very fun, though!
LSV has that soothing voice too.
"I don't want to draft green"
*drafts every color except green*
got crushed in an lsv video. i can mark that off the bucket list
which round?
@@alexscriabin 3, its interesting to hear someone talk about why i would make decisions that i do.
"If their last card is something, it's bad for me. Also, if it's not, that's still bad for me."

Oh a second one a day after, you are too kind Luis. Much love!
Take a shot everytime a land would be pretty good right now. Take two everytime it's not that one but whwatever
Plays 14 lands. Complains every time draws Mox Diamond.
That late Pestermite pickup was so good, I would never had gone for that and had such a good deck. The draws you had were astonishingly bad.

Plow Under into scoop from your Round 1 opponent, it's a bold strategy.
Man there was a banger mono red deck that no one in this pod picked up on
Mono red has been nerfed a little in the cube over the past few years/iterations, so I don't blame people for stepping back from it a little.
Yeah, I think drafting straight boros aggro would have been insanely powerful here, especially with 2 on color moxen. So many back-breaking turn one plays.
@@chronoflect I was just thinking that, 2 moxes, chain lighting, vortex would have been a great start to a monored deck
I can't wait until LSV drafts a Yorion-angel-flickerwisp deck in this iteration. Glad it is cube-mass again!
2 Lsv drafts in 1 day wow *-* the way you navigate between picks is clever and explained so well to me ;)
Wow LSV so unlucky didn't open Sol Ring, what a damned shame. Never opens REAL power.
Very glad to see LSV back in the vintage cube
When he gave up Flametongue I just about screamed.... BUT... then he got the Kiki next pull, and I was like "ok.. good.."
Omg i love cube so much, but i love more LSV playing cube
Wow, the second LSV VC video so soon after the first? You spoil us, CFB.
So there are 4 more to come today, right?
Man losing to 4 color Rofellos seems real tilting
Another one?! It's Christmas in July!
1:44 😰😰😰 spit out a whole sentence with that throat bubble
THE PEOPLE DEMAND MORE LSV VINTAGE CUBE DRAFTS!!!
but ty for this one though
Wow no thought of drafting mono red with 2 mox 1 of which was ruby and a sulphuric vortex in the pack. Wow mono red has been super open in pack 1
This is the content I crave
Lsv has an irrational love for smugglers copter
Draft gives perfect boros deck, forces blue and kiki combo 🥲
Best time of year!
It is good to be back indeed
As a spectator, Vintage cube is just the best
Surprised to see you play 14 lands with 2 moxes and mox diamond, seems greedy
Had he not gotten Kiki super late, his deck is much worse than the mono red deck that was wide open the entire draft.
41:30 spoken like a true veteran of the game. LOL
That match 1 was beyond frustrating.
I was wondering why you played daredevil, they obviously had ancestral I was so excited I thought you also got the read and we’re gonna draw 3 on turn 2...
and passed on blinking dary-dee with the resto as well :P
"obviously" not true at all
This deck desperately needed can trips or filtering/draw.
If you're rationalizing playing geddon, then a late winter orb makes your urza deck.
We had a broken mono red deck bomat, soul scar, moestary, rabble and the mox
Wait, i missed this somehow? what in the world ! ... nice P1 ... lets see what you P1 ...
Red- White aggro was so open!
"Let's get a mox" - draws a mox "not that one!!!"😂
Like - "I need a land!" Draws temple of T^^
At 47:30 sitting with the combo in hand waiting for them to tap out. They're tapping our so you're... playing Flametongue...?
The combo is a lot less impressive when you play it post-combat
@@slurpleslixie oh. yeah, valid point.
Thanks for the content.
This is the first time LSV's ever opened a piece of power pack 1, so is a pretty special draft.
After watching game 1, I really think, LSV should have played 15 lands instead of 14. Or what do the others think? :)
Because he really got mana screwed...

@@2LettersSho 16 mana sources as the mox diamond doesn't replace a land spot.
Eduardo Rodrigues Boros aggro is a bad deck. Don't draft it without a reason.
This couldve been a Mardu deck or RW splashing blue with good mana. Is it really necessary tonforce blue as a primary color?
Green just seems open!
This video is the first time in the history of magic that i have seen someone lose a game with a koth emblem on the table, feelsbadman
Man I feel like this deck is super greedy. LSV got some nut draws and is an incredibly great player but man this deck just feels bad

I traded a black lotus and mox sapphire for a shivan and serra angel, circa 93
This deck really shows the importance of putting color fixing as a hi priority
I'm not locked into playing blue/red then immediately drafts blue red 🤣🤣🤣
how do u keep from drawing all lands when u wheel?
Man I really hate mox diamond, specially in a deck with just 14 lands
yeah also once he said it's wrong playing with moxes as lands..instead this time he made the opposite. Very strange
Did you put the other moxs in your deck?
so much content
This is mad jutsu
Forced the draft and built a deck with too many moving parts. Made lemonade with these lemons, but still...
imagine how busted would have been a monored aggro deck
It must be Christmas

36:16 Dimir Signet.
Drafts clunky deck... "Man why are all the cards in my hand so clunky?!"
I'm surprised you passed up that Winter Orb for Godless Shrine.
Was thinking the same, it is awesome with Urza and the deck was already looking at the mana denial plan :/
At 30:11, was there a reason not to cast Treachery? It was unlikely to save you, but it'd at least show you their deck. Right?
Treachery is not Bribery. Common confusion.
winter oooorb
The opening hands here were pretty atrocious. Nice skills to pull out those wins.
So i think game one is a perfect example of why plow under is a bad card
Surprised there was no consideration for the Thief of Sanity over Brazen Borrower.
He had just talked about needing interaction.
I rather have 2 LSV videos in 1 day than 2 with my gf
