The pagoda design that you saw in the durbar square originated in Nepal and it was first designed by Aranico. He later went to china and from there, the pagoda design spread all over east and south east asia.

Prefer Shinkhara and stupa(dome) over pagoda, it looks to East Asian

you are getting the cross of east asian south asian vibe here mainly because of the architecture which originated in nepal. A nepali princess married to chinese emperor requested Araniko,an architect to basically bring that to china which later spread elsewhere.
also, nepal lost 1/3rd of its land to the british east india company places like darjeeling, garhwal ,kumaon of uttarakhand, india but the country itself never was under the british rule.

Nepal looks so fascinating - but that traffic would be the death of my ADHD Asperger's ass. I'm even too nervous to cross the streets in freaking Austria. 😂 I'm obviously not made for survival.
Zane, you've become my favorite travel vlogger - I love the rawness of your footage, and I greatly appreciate that you don't use any music at all. I often suffer from sensory overload and overproduced RUclips videos give me anxiety.
Please visit Vienna, Austria in the future. ❤ We have some truly beautiful places here.

If you enter the durbar square area at night you can get in for free. Locals don't have to pay and I think that's the best part. This area is just part of the city and a cool place to chill that you can enter in and out of just walking around town, putting a price tag just for entry kills the vibe imo but ig they depend on tickets for renovations and stuff.

You also should just say no and walk away if people keep trying to sell you shit. Don't stop to talk. They're annoying but they leave you alone if you're firm. You don't need to be nice it's just business for them.

I swear I met the same guys as you in Kathmandu 😂 the necklace guy and the other dude who insisted that the living goddess was only there on that day. I also met one guy who wanted to take me to a shiva temple where they smoke hash 😂

You did a good job avoiding those people who is after your money. Ya. that's exactly what you have to say, No I don't need a guide and I don't want it. Just be straight forward. Believe me, we didn't have many people harassing tourists before but these days they seem to come out from every angles. Just avoid them. Be safe out there. Enjoy your stay as well.

Kathmandu durbar square is a historic palace complex built hundreds of years ago. Nepal is probably the only country in South Asia which have continued as a nation state with strong connection to its history. This country was never colonised and is organically growing ever since.

Well done Zane, I love your videos and witness your growth as you move through the countries. I also come from your previous world of Tarot - a spiritual sister... 🕉 😊 I'm glad for you that you are approaching 100k - one thing I can suggest, for your consideration, to improve the videos is to be more mindful in turning/moving your camera - it is slightly fast and it could benefit from a tad slower speed so we can focus on what you're showing and not get light-headed 😉 🙂‍↔️ Thanks Zane, see you on the next video and Namaste 🙌

He travels light, he stays in good hotels, and he doesnt do anything crazy just tourist sites and food, and a bit of drinking. He can take entire days to rest and plan ahead flights and hotels, so its not so exhausing. Youre probably exhausted because you tried to cram in as much sightseeing as possible in 2 countries in 2 weeks.

8:03 You should not pick the things like that and throw. Before picking something get permission from the shopkeeper. If you don't want to buy then don't touch just look. We Nepali people don't touch and throw things like that if we have not to buy.

Such a shame they allow so much traffic through there. I was there back in 2007, I don’t recall that much vehicular traffic, but then again they didn’t have that many vehicles back then either. But still, they need to preserve the original idea.

It was a bit stressful listening to you complain during your introductory to Nepal with the airline situation, it’s just the way it is. It just depends on which customer service agent you encounter, some over ride it, some regulate. And the taxi part, I thought Klook was your sponsor from previous vlogs in past countries. Nepal seems more ideal to me rather than India. But TBH, I enjoy watching this and it’s not too high on my bucket list of countries to visit. Please return to Japan, Taiwan, Singapore and Philippines. Safe travels.
