Hello everyone! Hope you are all doing well ❤ I am so sorry for going missing for a month, I have been so busy filming new content it was getting to hard to juggle time to do the editing. I have thankfully now got some help with the editing so we should be back on track! I hope you enjoy this extra long video to kick off the Nepal series! I have so many amazing videos in this country that I can't wait for you to see. Hope to see some familiar names in the comments below, as long as you haven't all forgotten about me 😅 Which was your favourite part of the video? Did you make it to the end? Let me know below! Its called singing bowl used in the meditation. Also Gandarbhas are known for playing sarangi ( the musical instrument looks like violin) one of the authentic musical instrument in Nepal. They are not hindu knife but its called Khukuri famous among the Gurkha army you can see these knives with British Gurkha in the UK.
Yeah I knew it was a Gurkha knife, I just had a brain fart haha. I learnt in upcoming videos all about singing bowls and the sarangi as well as Resham Firiri haha. Thanks passing on the info though!
I am back! For good this time hopefully 😁 Haha there are probably better people to learn from but hopefully you can pick up some Nepali from these videos, its a fun language 😊
Just a tip, Thanka paintings and statues making is Buddhist culture in Kathmandu. Most of the Statues and temples are built by the natives of Kathmandu called Newars and the most Newars are traditionally Buddhists from centuries.
Both Hinduism and Buddhism. Newars already had Paubha arts which are far more complicated than Thanka with 3D depth and included Tantric Buddhism and Hinduism as well. Tibetans made 2D version of Paubha and called them Thanka. Buddhism hadn't even been introduced in Tibet when Newars were making these Paubha arts.
