It has exactly the opposite effect on me. I see these aquascapes and then look at my own tanks and realise I could never get close to this. I'll stick with my jungle look.
You captured every aquascaped aquarium so beautifully. And you have a great voice for narrating. Joanna's aquascape is awesome! Thanks so much for sharing😍
Joana's tank and Lisa's was my favorite, some of the tank yes were to cloudy and the scaper would of used aqua-clear. The 15 year old did an awesome job forming the sand and rock pathway. The 600 gallon wow was huge with all those beautiful Angel fish. Nice vid to see!
Wow! Joanna is so talented!!! I hope I can go to aquashella someday and meet you and the other great creators but it’s kind of hard because I live in Canada
My favorite tank is the one that you said that you could see yourself being able to do. It's a fantastic tank even though there's nothing elaborately built in it. I struggle with elaborate designs myself, so don't feel bad Jason. LOL 😆. I tried to make a rock cave with rocks roughly the size of a 50 cent piece. These were the colorful pebbles that you buy in a bag. Well it was the biggest 💩 poop magnet in the whole tank. 😂 I couldn't get it clean so it had to go. I didn't know that you have to treat those rocks with some kind of aquarium safe shellac or something. I can't remember now. 🤦🤷 BUT my 2cd favorite tank is Joanna's. I absolutely love the two islands with the corridor down the middle. Thank you for sharing your Aquashella experience with us.
My favorite would have to be the one with branches curving up and over and back down the the other island. Beautiful. Thanks for the video. This makes me want to go buy a bunch of stuff and update my tanks
They're all really beautiful! I liked Joanna's, the second one you showed, and Grant and Shelby's the best, hard to pick a favorite among those 3 because they're all so different. Gotta say the one with fake plants was pretty impressive, too for making the fake plants look so natural. Thanks for sharing and have a nice holiday weekend! 🙂👍
I hope to attend one of these someday. This my third time watching this video so i had to comment on the beauty of them, and i agree some of them seems out of my league too lol. This made me want ember tetras though
First one (Joanna) and the third one (Jen) were my favorites by a mile. I think the one @9:31 is pretty spectacular as well. Between those three if I could take one home it would be a toss up between the anubias scape and the one by Jen.
Beautiful tanks! How do they get the water so that they can immediately put fish in the tanks and how do they keep it so clear (my new tanks always have that initial bacterial bloom)?
I’m this case it doesn’t matter because the fish are only in the tanks for about 48 hours and then removed so there isn’t enough time for an ammonia spike most of the time.
It would be difficult to light that 600gallon tank through for living plants to grow well (except maybe crypts, Anubias or giant val). Probably not for most homes, but it would terrific in a restaurant or a hotel. But all tanks shown look great!
Hey Jason, I just watched your video on bad buddies for cories. What’s your opinion on having cories with Julidochromis Marlieri cichlids. I have 6 juvenile Marlieri and 7 cories in my 30 gallon tank. I also have a 55 gallon tank with some larger Marlieri so I know that they get to be a decent size
All the tanks were awesome!! What a dream tank that 800 gallon was! I tend to like the scapes where there is an arch of some type best. 🐠🐡🐟🐌🐌🐌🐌 🌿🌾🌿🌱🍃🍂🍂🍃 Gina Hetlage
I have a gourami question. Can a gourami change sex. Say, you have two male gourami can one change into a female? I know some fish can do that. I talk to someone who had a couple of what they thought were two male honeys and one started looking like a female. I thought it might be changing sex.

Am I the only one who compares all these to my own tanks and then immediately starts planning on how I can make them better ?? 😂
No, you're not 😅
It's mostly depressing to watch tbh :)

Not at all. 😂❤
Definitely not alone!

Thank you!
I absolutely love all of them. Its hard to pick a favorite. The tank that the 15 year old did was outstanding.
Loved Joanna's, gorgeous. Surprised how effective the Blue Ram tank was, so different from the rest, very memorable
Thank you so much for sharing this footage from Aquashella Dallas!
Love Joanna's tank! Awesome Job!
Joanna’s tank is absolutely beautiful. I wish I had the skills to do that.
Thank you!
I like the way your plants flow 😜🐠
Great scape Joanna! I love it 💚
Thanks for sharing these amazing scapes Jason! Joanna’s was so beautifully done!! All the tanks were exceptional this year!

Thanks for sharing all these lovely aquascapes Jason, and Joanna's fits right in . So inspirational.
Thank you!
Beautiful scapes, thanks for showing them off! And looking forward to the electric blue ram species profile!
Have a shoal of the Venezuelan corydoras. Acquired them quite recently and they are both unique and beautiful. Lovely tanks! What an inspiration.💚
I enjoyed all the aquariums, thank you. You already know Joanna tank was spectacular though
Stunning all. And to think a 15-year-old created one of them. 😮
I know! I was so impressed!
Congratulations to Joana! That scape was amazing!! One of her best yet, in my opinion :)
Very nice - thank you!
Thanks for sharing!

omg that 600g tank that's something to see, all those tanks were well done and good job on your show piece
Ya, that big tank was awesome!
The dragon stone Scape and that 600g for sure!!!
My favorite would have to be the one with branches curving up and over and back down the the other island. Beautiful. Thanks for the video. This makes me want to go buy a bunch of stuff and update my tanks

These are all amazing! Inspiring... wish I could create like this.
I love the one at 8 minutes, it's gorgeous
Beautiful ❤

Lolll. That was funny at the beginning.

Do you think you and KG Tropicals will ever do a joint live? That would be so cool.
We've done them a few times before, but it has been a while. :-)
@@PrimeTimeAquatics I need to find those!
Where do you find such good looking plastic plants. I've kept fish for 20 years and have never seen plastic plants that look so good.
Usually they are marketed as "silk" plants at the big box stores.

Whether it is a good thing or a bad thing, the bar has been set higher. I see the past in the present.

Joanna's (sp?) tank is remarkably similar to my own. 44 rimless. i've got neon rainbows, honey gourami, cory cats and red phantom tetras.
That sounds cool! 😀
It was quite obvious that this was Joanna's work and not yours, Jason. The big giveaway was that it was not just a random pile of rocks. 😄
Dang it! I didn't think anyone would notice. :-)

That could be a tough mix. Maybe dwarf petricola might work better?

Where you all able to not eat the doughnuts all at once😂
I polished off a couple! Thank you! :-)
If you guys are up for it maybe the next time the boomers come to Joliet we catch a game on me of course
Wish I could’ve made it
Anyone know where to get a big rimless tank thats not the price of an eye and a leg? Lol
Unfortunately they are expensive unless you find one at Petco or Petsmart.
@@PrimeTimeAquatics will keep an eye out! Thanks!
There are 60

Good question - I don’t believe they can.
I see scapes with a thick sand or gravel bed.. really off-putting. Poor choice for a proper aquascape.
It’s actually really good for plants though.
Sarina @nirvanaquatics at 9:06!!
Really nice. Just didn't get a full tank shot I think.
