Giri Dharan : I disagree on LeBron. I say it’s Steph. LeBron missed his chance. He played in the same league as Kobe for 13 years and never outplayed Kobe.
Kobe lost one finals, and that was to Detroit (the year that he was accused of r@pe). Karl Malone tried to use it as an opening to get at his wife Vanessa.
LeBron lost several finals series, including two in which he straight folded when he was supposed to be the man (vs. Dallas and vs. S.A.).
That’s NOT Jordan-like, nor is it Kobe-like.
It’s not Magic-like.
It’s not Kareem-like or Bird-like.
LeBron was the 3rd or 4th best player of the 2001’s and was the 2nd or 3rd best of the 2010’s.

Y’all act like LeBron’s rookie year was 2014 or sumpm. The dude came into the league in 2003, and has almost never decisively been the top player in the league, even at his best.
@@DeCurtaRican lebron was the most consistent player throughout the 2010s. He went to 8 straight finals and won 3, he also led his team who were down 3-1 to a 73-9 win team to win the nba championship and led both teams in points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks.
He was better than kd because he led the heat to a win over the thunder in 2012 and Kd needed 3 other all stars to take down King James.
Hes better than curry because curry still doesnt have a finals mvp despite having 3 championship rings and curry only started to get noticed in the second half of the 2010s whereas lebron was well established throughout the entire decade.
Harden has not been better than lebron ever, simply because he has only made the finals once, but he was the six man on the team and wasn't looked as a superstar at that point, his biggest accomplishment since getting traded from okc was getting to the wcf and getting an mvp.

Kobe and Lebron played in the same era. Which is why their fans hate each other because neither of them can't agree on which era belonged to, when in reality it was Lebron AND Kobe's league for a long time.

Best All-Star Game in years!!! Recommend 4th Quarter starts at zero and the first team that gets to 24 wins (Kobe). If you want to add a twist the winning team must win by two points (GiGi). Also, you can add in defense scores like blocking shots (-1) against the team that just got blocked. I played a 21-Game in New Jersey that added defense blocked shots that made the game super exciting!!! Mahalo MD

Patrick Griego : Shaq has had conversations with Adam Silver about changing that logo; that’s why Silver lied.
They don’t want to change it because it’s the NBA’s brand. But changing it to Kareem or Jordan won’t hurt, because they’re deserving.
I’m sure they, as well as Magic and Bill Russell, feel just a little bit slighted by the move to rename the all-star trophy after Kobe.
That should have been Magic’s. All-Star Weekend should be named after Magic and Bird.
The finals series and trophy should be named after Jordan (or Bill Russell), and the Logo should be Kareem’s skyhook.
Or they could name the finals series after Kareem or Bill Russell, and make the new logo Jordan’s silhouette - the split-legged dunk.
The Dunk contest should be named after ‘Nique, Vince or Dr. J - even though Zach LaVine and Aaron Gordon have surpassed them all as dunkers.
The three-point contest should be named after Bird, obviously!
Give the big-man’s award to Hakeem or Shaq, or posthumously to Wilt.

Jack Liu : Yeah, only retired (or nearly retired) past dunk contest finalists and/or winners should be judges - although I think AG took it a little harder than he should have.
Players must remember that All-Star Weekend is about the fans, not the players. The league honors the players by selecting them to honor the fans. It’s about putting on a good show, first, last and always, to thank the fans for their support.
Vince Carter, Jason Richardson, Gerald Green, Dr. J, Isaiah Rider, Cedric Cebalos, Kenny Walker, Spud Webb, Larry Nance, Desmond Mason, and Nate Robinson would all have judged Gordon as the winner.

Good move Adam Silver but we still want Kobe to be the LOGO. I know it will never happen, NBA doesn't want a player to represent the league just like how they wouldn't admit Jerry West is the logo.
