Great analysis Jeff! Love the serve plus 1 . I still have to work on that swing ing flat or a bit high to low, because I still tend to go from under the ball.
I get serve +1. So Jeff, what if, as a righty, your go to shot is a backhand? I am right hand dominant but bat lefty. So my backhand has always been my preference. My "play" is serve down the T or at the body and expect to see the return to come back more toward the middle so I shade slightly right of center as to hit a backhand cross court and set up a weak return. Thoughts?
Nobody hit the inside out forehand like Jim Courier! A comparison from how Courier executed his put away compared to this video would be interesting 😀🎾

Hey Jeff, just out of curiosity, if you were to play straight up against different USTA skill levels, at which level would you start to feel pressure vs playing in teaching mode where you could win every point if you didn't hold back or pull punches? I ask because one of my instructors is 60 years old but when he plays me he makes it look like he is playing against an USTA 2.5 when I am a USTA 4.0. He redirects all my power like a judo master and makes it look so easy! I am playing my absolute best and to him my game is a walk in the park to defeat. Looking to change my approach to our sport and become more of a bullfighter rather than a charging bull.
@@TennisEvolution Good to know. I've learned that in the lower levels we have way more time than in the higher levels, which is why it is easier for higher level players to beat lower level players. Reframing the way I play the game. I want to be a bullfighter not a bull in a china shop.
I like the back kick idea in forehand. Will give it a try.
Let us know how it goes!
Great stuff, thanks.
You're welcome ;)
Great video and tips on the serve and the next shot very important feature
Thank you.
@@TennisEvolution if you could as well help our tennis by watching us play and commenting what we could improve that would be great

Joe Hasenauer I like it. I would develop the inside out backhand like Halep does as well

Nadal and other do:)
Tennis Evolution - Online Tennis Lessons... ahhh how could I forget Rafa!
It looks like he got a bit jammed up on the +1 forehand, should the elbow be further away from the body at contact?
Ideally yes an he does work on creating more space but if he can rip a forehand like that consistently with his spacing, he'll be ok.
So for the serves I have noticed that my grip switches half way through the hit is that normal?
A good number off players change their grip in the middle of the swing. Definitely not ideal.

I would have a good matches with 5.5's.

Instead of waiting for the ball to bounce, he could have hit a swinging volley ala federer, after such a good first serve....
This is true. He is working on that!
