    Been excited to see Danny's reaction to Luke's betrayal since he first said Luke was his favorite character. Love your reactions guys and can't wait to watch with you again during season 2. And I felt the same thing about the failing to save what mattered most was failing to save and stop luke

    Epic Finale Reaction! The fight between Percy and Ares was good. I definitely love how Percy confront Zeus regardless of what could happen, and how we get to see Poseidon’s love for Percy, when he not only intervenes, but surrenders to his younger brother. But I think the best thing that they definitely did adapt well for the finale was the revelation of Luke’s betrayal. Not only how they had used the flashback of sparring practice to foreshadow Luke and Percy’s duel, but how surprisingly Annabeth was there to witness it as well. You can see how this act of betrayal affected all three of them. Luke was a brother to Annabeth, was a friend to Percy, and even he still felt hurt for what he did to them. I definitely did love seeing how not only do our Celestial Trio make the pact to meet back for camp regardless, but we get to see the aftermath of Kronos still planning his revenge and needs Percy still to make it possible. The fact that for the post credit scene was to see Gabe actually turn to stone was well executed. I cannot wait for the second season as I’m more interested to see how they adapt a new certain eye catching character.

      @@CoyzyMovieNight thank you for these reactions! I’ve always said that this what they need to do for Narnia; make it a series and begin with The Magician’s Nephew to give us the origin screen adaptation we deserve. If you love sitcoms about magic I highly recommend Disney’s Wizards of Waverley Place.

    Few things about Luke and Percys differences. Luke has been in this realm for years. First there was this mentioned incident where something happened to his mom, hinted because of Hermes involvement. Then he was on his own with Thalia for some time and must had it hard. He saw Thalia not being really saved by Zeus, only got turned into a tree. Like even Percy said, Really? Thats all he could do? Then Kronos digging into all his soft spots in his dreams for who knows how long. And also, Hermes being the god of travelers, but also the god of thieves, so he probably doesnt make the best of dad any way and Luke has some of his traits also probably. As Percy then just learned this world and his dad allready saved him, actually saved him and not only make him into a stone or some. Percys mom isnt dead and has given Percy a solid ground and morals and never talked bad about Poseidon. Also Percy being the son of the big 3 makes him more powerful and stubborn and probably more able to resist Kronos.

    Ares isn't really on anyone's side. He's just a guy who enjoys chaos. In the end, he will fight for Olympus and his parents, but he doesn't much care who gets hurt along the way.

    He’s gonna hate(love?) the ending with Luke. But let’s not ruin his hopes and dreams.
    I believe season two is going to change some motivations from the book and focus more on Percy and Annabeth being tempted to join Kronos. Especially Annabeth, who has learned to not depend on her mother.

      @@mrs.manrique7411 I think Kronos manipulated Ares through his dreams. It was implied cause he got angry and denied it when Percy pointed that out to him. Percy also said Ares turned the moment someone more powerful (Kronos) appeared.

    • @mrs.manrique7411
      @mrs.manrique7411 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@nicoleteregowell, I’ll immediately jump to point 2 and argue that Percy did not know about Luke yet when he claimed Ares had sided with Kronos.
      And in addressing point one, Ares only got angry when he found out Kronos was behind Luke’s theft. He said he didn’t dream because it’s true. He didn’t. Kronos didn’t try to tip off anybody. Remember that dream Percy “eavesdrops” on in episode 6? Kronos is telling Luke he got caught and he’s a sorry excuse for a hero. Kronos did not plan Ares to join their plan. Luke convinced Ares on his own to start a war and then gave Percy the shoes to drag him down Tartarus.

    Books: Sally uses Medusa's head to kill her abusive partner.
    Show: Sally decides to have her moderatly comedic douche partner.
    The show makes it seem like she just kills him bc he's a dick. He wasn't abusive. They just had some bickering and she put him in his place

    • @AnxietyRat
      @AnxietyRat 4 месяца назад

      Yeah, I'm thinking they had to significantly water down the character of Gabe in the show because it's on Disney+ and a kids show... Just like why they HAD to turn Medusa invisible before cutting her head off. And why there NO swearing other than the word "Dummy"... that gets said like 20 times. Lmao.
      It sucks... But they had to censor a significant amount of things due to the rating of the show. 🤷‍♀️ Do I think that children(the age demographic the books are aimed at), usually, absolutely can handle seeing abusive relationships in media? Absolutely. I think it's Good to show children an example of what is NOT okay or acceptable behaviour within a relationship... I absolutely think that the topic CAN be tackled in an age appropriate way... But they just decided to not do that in the show. 🤷‍♀️ Which I guess I kind of understand as it's not the focus of the show, ya know? But yeah...just...sucks a bit.

    • @pinsandneedles3
      @pinsandneedles3 4 месяца назад

      Sally doesn't "just kill him because he's a dick" in the show though. In fact, she doesn't kill him at all. Gabe dies because he opens a package not meant for him. His death is his own fault. Did you even watch the scene?

    • @AnxietyRat
      @AnxietyRat 4 месяца назад

      @@pinsandneedles3 but it is potentially inferred that they deliberately left that box out knowing that if he did come back around... he would be extremely likely to go through it. 🤷‍♀️ There's an argument towards them purposefully leaving the box at the front door and also I guess an argument to the fact that maybe it was just delivered and they didn't leave it out deliberately.

    • @pinsandneedles3
      @pinsandneedles3 4 месяца назад

      @@AnxietyRat I didn't interpret it that way at all. You can, I guess, but there are no hints in the show that they did this on purpose. If they wanted the viewer to interpret the scene this way, they would have had Sally or Percy move the box into the hallway when they left their apartment in the last scene before the end of credits scene with Gabe. And they didn't.

    • @pinsandneedles3
      @pinsandneedles3 4 месяца назад

      @@AnxietyRat I think it's very clear in the show that it was delivered after Sally and Percy left for work and school. If you didn't know the Gabe from the books, you would not think Sally killed him here. I think the real speculation about this scene is, in my opinion, not about Sally but actually about if the gods decided to deliver the box as a trap for Gabe. It feels like a Greek tragedy - a man undone by his own hand, in a way he could have avoided had he been a different kind of person.

    I know I'm going to get blasted for this but I have an issue with the fight. Ares, the god of war, gets beat in a fight by a 12-year-old demigod with almost no training? I get that Percy used the wave to splash Ares and all that but still. It would be like a professional sports team losing a game to a bunch of children who have only played in gym class. It would have been more "believable" if Poseidon stepped in and protected his son. Other than that I loved it so don't beat me up too much. 😉 Cheers.

    • @nicoleterego
      @nicoleterego 5 месяцев назад +6

      The point is that Ares underestimated Percy. He didn't even think that fighting Poseidon's son in a beach near the ocean is a bad idea. He's kind of a "moron" as Poseidon said. And so instead of drawing the first blood the moment he got a ahold of Percy, he toyed with him instead and had to throw him like a ragdoll. Maybe to humiliate him. Had Ares been taking the fight seriously, the fight would've been ended in seconds. For Percy though, he's actually giving his best and did not waste moments once he has disoriented Ares using the tidal wave. In a way, he outsmarted him.
      Also, I'm assuming you haven't read the books? If so, demigods have natural battle instincts. Meaning, even if they don't get proper training they have natural reflexes in a fight (as shown when Percy defeated the minotaur). Demigods are also not as weak as normal humans. In the books, it was noted that Percy is a natural gifted sword fighter. He managed to disarm Luke (who's the best sword fighter in chb at that time) on their first training session. I guess the show left that bit out but he still got sword training from him. I'm assuming him being able to parry Luke's attack even when they were talking and Percy not wanting to take it seriously an indication that he's not an ordinary sword fighter.
