Unimog 421 - Cold Start

- Just a short little clip. of the Little mog being fired up.
It was about -6°C when filming this.
The winter is upon us, and i had to move the little Mog, that had been parked for a couple of weeks.
And also, i just wanted to see how it would handle a real cold-start.
Turns out, it wasn't a whole lot worse than how it usually starts.
Sorry for the poor lighting. this was just after sun-set.

When I win the lottery, I’m building a go anywhere camper. An old fashioned basic unimog is my ideal base vehicle! No electronics to go wrong, easy to maintain, easy to fix. What’s not to like!

just stay away from tarmac/fine/semi-OK roads!
If you ever get to live out your dream, i would recomend you look for one with the slightly newer "Square cab" (Late '70s and onwards)
As much as i love the "Round cab" mogs. they are really not very comftable for longer drives.

Wouldn't expect any less of that beauty.
Starts very good, more modern vehicals have can't start from second time below 0 celisus.
This beauty deserves a shelter, shed or garage. Get rid of your American waste of raw materials, so you have space for the Unimog. 😉

Do you still have the original indicators on both sides of the cab? They're basically worth their weight in gold. Just the glass itself costs 120€ at some places.
Bit just that it's Unimog prices, but the indicators are to the standards for tricks that carry flammable load like gasoline.
Sadly many didn't have any. Mounted some that look similar but where cheaper, but they don't have the white lights. Hopefully that won't cause me headaches when registering it.
They are mostly there. but sadly, they are in a very bad shape. so im not sure i can save them.

@@dallesamllhals9161 Jep. Stadig i live. Den er dog sat i vente position, til en større overhaling. da der efterhånden er en ret lang liste af ting der skal serviceres, fixes og laves om. så der kommer videoer af den på et tidspunkt, også.
