Dong Sik holding the umbrella always gets to me. For all his pain and torment, he's still capable of such kindness. Being a good person doesn't mean being perfect - you just need to see others as having worth, no matter who they are. Dong Sik is a good man.
these twos' chemistry was so goood. This clearly shows not all korean shows needs stupid cheesy romance to be a good show. A show with good plot and character development DO NOT NEED ROMANCE !!!!

I love that Han Ju Won had an unhealthy obsession over Lee Dong Sik. I forgot from what drama, but I remember there's a saying "When you had someone in mind while you investigated a case, whatever that person do will seems suspicious, because you're already branded that person as a suspect." I think this is what happen with Ju Won. He's not objective at the first half of the drama, because he's so sure Dong Sik is the bad guy.
And poor Dong Sik letting himself be a suspect to protect everyone around him. The guy just misunderstood his intention.
I have a question about this drama that is why Dong sik didn't reported when he found the fingers of Kang Jin mook's daughter?Why he transferred those fingers in the bench?

1. You can't indicted people guilty of murder without a body. The body itself is an evidence of the murder.
2. Also, if they didn't found the body, there could be a chance that Kang Min Jung is still alive.
3. Dong Sik didn't report the murder and put Kang Min Jung's finger on Kang Jin Mook's bench because he wants the police to investigated. If Dong Sik didn't do this, Min Jung just gonna get filed as "Missing Person" because she's running away from home, not because something bad happen to her. At episode 1, Dong Sik told an old man that if an adult was missing from home, the police just gonna report it as runaway case because that's how the law is.
4. When Dong Sik found Min Jung's fingers he also realized that Jin Mook is the serial killer whom also killed/buried his sister. So, not only Dong Sik wants the police to investigated on the missing of Min Jung, but he also wants the police to reinvestigated the past 20 years serial murder in his village. He also need to find his sister.
5. Dong Sik also wants to aggravated Jin Mook by making him realized that someone's knew what had he done. Because Dong Sik take the fingers from Jin Mook's basement, which nobody should be found unless they got his house key. Jin Mook also realized that Dong Sik was the one whom put the fingers on his bench, that's why he's going around places bringing some kimchi with him to get an updated on Min Jung's case investigation. Jin Mook also rising suspicions on Dong Sik's other friends to make Dong Sik aggravated. It's basically a battle of the wits for the two of them. Whose going to crumble first. Dong Sik trying to find Min Jung's body and oust Jin Mook as a serial killer, and Jin Mook trying to hide Min Jung's body so he can't be captured because there're no proofs.
6. I forgot in which episode, but someone said that once you're proof not guilty from one case, you cannot indicted as guilty to the same case. Basically, Dong Sik being careful about everything, so that Jin Mook could be found guilty for killing Min Jung.
@@aresheika8693 Thank you so much.😊The saying in the point 6 was said by Dong sik to his late partner.But i think dong sik actually did a foolish act by doing this because to my opinion it is a big evidence that the fingers were found inside kang jin mook's house.So people would easily suspect him.So dong sik should had been call the police from being inside the house immediately. Also the police would search the house to find the body.

I don't know about Dong Sik being foolish, but I tried to seen it from Dong Sik perspective tho. If he call the police there's a chance Min Jung could be save? No. Because she's buried alive the chance of her survival was a little. In most cases the human brain would suffer irreversible brain damage after 3 minutes without oxygen. And even if they found Min Jung's body after Dong Sik reported it, they needed other evidences too. Also, they need Jin Mook to confessed that he killed Min Jung. Even if they found Min Jung's body and the tools he used to kill her, he could deny he killed her by saying he's not at home at the time of murder. And Dong Sik is the only one in the crime scene at that time, so he could kill Min Jung and tried to make Jin Mook looks guilty. The police needs modus operandi too. Jin Mook was good at acting, he's been fooling people for his whole life by trying to look meek. So, people wouldn't believe a person as meek as him could kill his own daughter. And Dong Sik was a suspected of his sister murder 20 years ago. Who do you think people would believe more? I think what Dong Sik trying to do was to catch him in the act (when he's removing Min Jung's body). So, yeah. Not so foolish for me tho. 😅

Not just this year...i watched a lot of Korean dramas like in hundreds but nothing comes close to this...Beyond evil is masterpiece in every sense...story, , dialogues, cinematography, camera angles, music and of course acting. Shin Ha Kyun proved that one doesnt need to look like an idol to gain popularity ...he can carry an entire show in his shoulders ......he as Lee Dong Shik is par excellence

This drama was amazing. The story was complex. At one point, I suspected everyone🤣. The twists are mind blowing. I love how they even foreshadowed a few scenes at the beginning that confused the viewers and then revealed everything in details at the end. There were details that seemed unimportant but were actually crucial.

rewatching this today, yeah there's a few details but its so well produced everyone was sus af
Honestly the culprits were somewhat obvious (I mean it's literally always the rich high status and corrupt ppl in kdramas who are behind everything, also what other role would his commissioner father have in the drama if he was innocent) but I didn't expect it being more than one person and that's what I found pretty complex haha. It was like all the 3 main suspects played a part if I remember correctly. My fav thing about this drama was probably the cinematography tho, idk but I just really love the theme, vibes and ost

Finished this drama, I cried at the end where was justice served and finally Dong Sik said those words, "You're under arrest..."
I think nothing beats that because he never stopped, he was waiting for 21 years. For the justice to come out, for the truth, it must have been so painful,
But it was so satisfying to watch him saying those words. Shin Ha Kyun really deserved that best actor award.
Also, I'm surprised with Yeo Jin Goo, I hope to see more of him or like their tandem also, again. It was really fun to watch.

최근에 너무 감당하기 어려운 힘든 일들이 계속 일어났는데..지난 주말에 괴물 정주행하면서 펑펑 울고나니 좀 후련해진것같기도 합니다. 신하균, 여진구, 그리고 모든 배역 배우님들 열연과 완벽한 각본에 감탄했습니다. 비비의 타임레스, 이 OST는 괴물 보면서 안타깝고, 위태로웠던, 그래도 끝까지 실마리를 놓치지 않고 싸웠던 주인공들이 생각나네요. 좋은 작품, 음원 감사합니다
This drama was magnificent with an exceptional screenplay (can understand why it won the award) and Shin Ha Kyun gave a master performance and an overall great ensemble.

I keep coming back to this song and this kdrama, it's been like a month since I finished it and I seriously can't get over it. This song makes me feel very nostalgic while thinking about these two amazing characters. Rewatching isn't my thing but I might just do that because I just can't get over it.
Both Yeo Jin Goo and Shin Ha Kyun perfectly portrayed the characters. I am falling for Han Ju Won already. 😁 Watched it two times in a week but still can’t get enough of it. Jin Goo, my destination country has changed to Korea now all because of you.

I just finished this show last night and what a ride it was! It's been the very first Kdrama I've watched and only a few minutes into the story I was hooked and stayed like that to the very end. I was surprised by the plot line, the amazing plot twists and the masterful performance by both leads. The chemistry between them was off the charts and one of the highlights for me. I couldn't help but falling in love with Lee Dong Sik (Shin Ha Kyun truly delivers!), he could be so cute and psycho at the same time. I'm sure I'm going to rewatch many times. Besides superb OST!
I just wanna hold Dong Sik tight and protect him from everyone! T-T
