    This has just popped up. Rammstein are my favourite band and have been for about 20 years. I've recently started learning German. Or attempting to learn German anyway. Its always been one of my favourite languages. So this is really Interesting to me!

    Hallo, Dave!
    Danke für das Video. Ich liebe deine Kanal. Mein Deutsch ist still schlecht, es tut mir leid.
    Please keep making videos! I love your explanations of the Rammstein stuff and how well you pronunciate the German words. It helps me to learn, so thank you. I'll get fluent someday.
    Danke Dave! ❤️🇩🇪

      Actually your German isn't bad at all. Mein Deutsch ist nicht gut can be used to say my German not that good. At least that's how I say it lol maybe Dave can give us the write answer on that

    What do you mean, they are not all about kink and fetishes? xD
    Seriously though, most of their songs' lyrics are provocative and could be really disturbing for someone unfammiliar with topic.
    Even their namesake song, Rammstein, is a twist on notorious Ramstein airshow disaster, while simultaneously being a mannifesto of their creative direction.
    By the way, would you mind taking Hallelujah into the same analysis you did with Mein Teil? I'd like to know more context about that.

      Die Lieder "Laichzeit" and "Eifersucht" sind sehr komisch auch.

    Oh sweet heart i try so hard to keep up with what you are teaching. I have been trying my hardest to learn german on my own. I do not have any money at all to spend on tutoring or anything similar. I dontveven know anyone who speaks german. I try my best. Rammstien is my absolute favorite band! By far my favorite. No other band can even compare as far as im concerned. If you could help me personally id really 💘 that. Not kidding.

    I don't speak German ,I just have an ex from Duisburg/esson. Rammstein is understand able to me. The little sayings that detrurmine .who &, where you reside..mostly the whole attitude of the band blows me away. If they hadn't loved the communist bs, the world never understand the pressure of thier world an how it clashef .I could never live under such orwellian ways . Eyes on you at all times

    Am curious what you start your videos with, it sounds like "hallo zusam" but as I'm not familiar with the spelling I was unsure what the second word was?

    Really interesting stuff. Ive seen some "old" english text and its almost unrecognizable to me here in the US. Is it similar with "old" German for you guys? Or does it just take a second to make sense?

    Hallo Dave, that was great but I am worried I am not paying to see your videos as I have subscribed to Patreon and want to contribute to your good cause but feel I am not by watching them for free on You Tube..! Is there a link you can send me so I can choose from all your videos? I have found your page but I have to plough through a lot of non Rammstein stuff to find what I like which is German language related to Rammstein. Sorry if I am being thick.

    I've only heard of Rammstein from your videos. I like Roland Kaiser and use his songs to inspire and help me to learn German. Sorry! I like looking at you though. Have you ever thought of shaving off your beard? I think you'd look nice without it.

    Ich habe eine frage: I have been listening to Max Raabe und Palaster Orkestra recently. He trills his Rs. Whether he does that for effect, I don't know. Are trilled Rs spoken in day to day German? He is originally from your area of the world.. Do YOU trill your Rs?

    • @tjpfz6
      @tjpfz6 4 года назад +1

      i think he covered this before, he said till does it for "effect" and typically they dont roll that R

      @dalemcdaniel4703 4 года назад +2

      There's more of an "R Roll" in Scottish English that in Bavarian German. ;-)

      Your comment is old but ok 🤭 Yes, you still trill the R's: in classical singing. Like in a choir or the German Lied, Opera etc. it is absolutely standard. So, yes, it's old-fashioned but Rammstein take that to create that certain classically German effect. And there a few dialects in Germany where people roll their R's. Not the area where Rammstein are from, though. So they did it by choice.
