A very interesting West Midlands roam there Keith. Great timing to get the first West Midlands livery Class 323, and then the 172 from your train. The Birmingham New Street I remember was roaring 86's and 87's handing over to 47's and sometimes 50's - those were the days. Thanks for the Lickey movie plug :-)
Absolutely lovely video! Very nice to see the semaphores still working at Worcester and Droitwitch! I need to take a trip up there myself sometime. Looking forward to the next video!
West Midlands Railway or 'JMLM' for 'Just Murdered London Midland' ... Not been to Worcester Shrub Hill since the days of 'The Cathedrals Express' from London Paddington. Saturdays only duty which departed at 18:00 for Evesham and Worcester. Class 47/8 from ILRA Intercity Cross Country often hauling a borrowed WB10 rake of 10 x Mk1s from Wembley! Great video - loved this! :o)
Very interesting place Worcester Keith ,Manchester has similar arches near Piccadilly station and they are all utilised as well .I bet you slept well Wed night !Shrub Hill a very interesting station ,all in all a very interesting session lots of interest and great viewing too .Nice chatting earlier with you ,speak soon best wishes Nick .
great video as always! it was really nice as a local to see you grace it with your presence, also regarding freight we usually get steel trains to and from margam t.c to round oak and some of the Nucular workings come though as well.
Nice One Keith. These additional shots set you apart from the other video's which just focus on the Tech. Afterall these trains are here to serve us. Let me know when you visit Liverpool and I'll make some suggestions for you. ;)
The Welsh train goes to Pwhelli and Aberystwyth splitting at Machyllneth. Excuse spelling. Both are very scenic routes if you haven't already done so. Just no freight unless lucky enough like when I went there were two class 37 9's
Can't say I have ever been to Worcester. Looks a very pretty place. The orange train at the beginning is the new West Midlands livery. I saw it recently on another you tubers clip.
Thank you once again Keith, for one of your most entertaining excursions with commentary. Best wishes to you and Lady June.
