- In this elden ring video I'm testing whether any of the strongest bosses in elden ring can survive Great Wyrm Theodorix.
I decided to run this test after seeing that he's got one of the strongest and most broken skills in the game that can cause lots of damage with multiple hits from the lava he spits out.

Theodorix's first phase is actually more op then the second one.
If he starts spamming it's over
@@BjornTheBear Why are random bosses we encounter on our adventures more powerful than demigods? I swear I have seen the Laser Golem stunlock Morgott to death.
"With each phase easier than the last"-Max0r
@@kiennguyentrong1897there are many reasons, 1 being that mobs were never meant to fight each other really, so their balancing is much different when compared to them Vs the player. The player has special treatment like the knockdown state that saves you from taking multiple instances of damage from one attack, whereas bosses like Morgott don’t have such things so attacks like Laser Golem Beam register on Morgott at every opportunity, dealing tens of thousands of damage as opposed to a few hundred or a thousand from just one hit. Another instance would be Horah Loux’s AOE glowing rock throw into the air, every rock hits the boss dealing lots of damage, but only one hits you when you get hit by it.
For sure. If Maliketh for example had fought just the second phase, he'd have destroyed him. But that charge into his 20 health and 5 poise despite him being the size of Radahn just destroys him.
Fire Giant was like watching a normal sized man fight an iguana with a garbage can lid.
🤣🤣🤣
Nah, too big for an iguana, more likely a monitor lizard.

Very common in Mexico 🇲🇽
Ppl sleeps too much on the Fire Giant bt he's been one of the most consistent boss in theses videos. Dude is a real florida man

His first attempt is with a trashcan lid.
I have legit never seen the elder beast be that aggressive and just straight up good in any fight before
In the fights I cheer for him, he just stands still and die. In fights I cheer against him, he unleashes his Holy Guns and purges his opponent.
@@kiennguyentrong1897 I feel like its all hinging on whether or not he uses that attack where he sends like a thousand gold arrows into the air and they all smack an enemy for massive damage
@@magcarjoseph2nd Elden Beast has a lot of powerful attacks. He can easily pose massive threats to any boss. His physical attacks, however, are hilariously pathetic.
@@kiennguyentrong1897 and that big "special attack where he traps them in a ring and does like 5 damage 🤣
@@magcarjoseph2nd sometimes I fight him, I get my ass chuckled full of Holy projectiles. Other times I just walk in and he dies.
Shocked the fire giant did so well. Thought for sure he'd stupidly sit in lava. And Elden Beast looked like he just watched a "How to cheese Magma Wyrm if you're an Elden Beast" video
Elden beast gaming:today we going to show to cheese magma wyrm with radagon sword
😂
So lava works against the guy permanently surrounded by lava. Who knew?
Rykard should have crazy fire immunity but somehow he doesn't lol
True but technically he just bit into Rykard, so I guess we could give him that........ technically
@@BjornTheBear He does have crazy fire resistance but the lava crawl also does physical damage
@@theannihilator8800 give him what? Aids?
@@BjornTheBear He has it, as seen when Wyrm spits down. However, in the attack where Wyrm goes forward, there is still a multiple tick of physical damage. According to the same principle, the rolling of a fat godskin works.

Where did that meme come from, btw?
15:07 it’s almost as if Theodorix perfectly decapitated Placidusax’s final two heads during his death animation. Brutal.
It's even crazier since magma wyrms were humans who participated in the dragon communion. They wanted to be a dragon, yet they got cursed to be a magma wyrm instead. But one of them managed to kill the dragonlord himself. It's kinda like a blessing in disguise for Theodorix.
@@yuu2023Not to mention the suffix of his name, Ix, x often being in relation, or following the dragonlord bloodline, making Theodorix a perfect fit for the title, the greatest dream someone of dragon communion could ever wish for, becoming the lord of the very dragons they once idolized.
It's awesome seeing bosses fight against each other It's like a video game death battle.
Fire giant and malenia being op as always lol
@@dudeman7826 Exactly
The Placi fight went from a Boring 0 to insanity over 9000. Very good fight.
Ok say what you will, but for having a sliver of health, Placidusax put up one hell of a fight, to the point I actually thought he was about to make the biggest comeback in history
Ok can we talk about how Mohg got out of that corner pin at the last minute by flying?
He got way too fucked up way too early, but if he had just a little more health before next phasing he'd have pulled it off. Big sad.
Theo spammed his best attack like 4 times in a row
if we could start placi in phase two he would roll a lot of these guys

@@pinkvillafantasy I know, its just absolutely stupid lol
I know his charge is the main attraction here but the damage from that overhead slam is truly wild.
That's what makes him really hard imo. This was the only boss in the game which had an attack that literally one shot me. And I had 2000 hp when i fought him...
@@hesiolite and it's one of those trademarked Elden Ring attacks where the wind up takes years and then the tell is "blink and miss it" lol, so that doesn't help

Holy cow! This is the first time I've seen the Elden Beast fighting like it realy wants to win or is taking the fight seriously! It wastes zero seconds between attacks. Also, that last attack where it dives into the lake and then lunges into the air while casting holy projectiles is amazing to watch.
And he used something like a holy rasengan orb attack. I have never seen that.
@@jaimebyrd3578 its his grab
Fire Giant can be summed up as "One Legged Florida Man fights sword wielding gator with a trash can lid."
Damn, love that final effort by Placidusax. What a show!

Elden Beast handled him like a boss!
Also, Placidusax was mounting a nice comeback there too...
Nice fights. Can't wait till the DLC, if alone for more bosses for this channel!
Ooh, imagine Godwyn vs. Maliketh... the ultimate lore showdown.
I've gotta say that these were some of the coolest fights to watch so far. So many close calls, too. It'd be neat to see the Dragonkin Soldier of Nokstella be tanky enough to last as long as Theodrix's 25k HP does to see if it could put up a similar performance with its moveset.
5:35 - Did Gideon block the lava, then roll forward into it?

Hoarah Loux threw the fight so hard this time, I felt cheated😂
Half hos attacks don't work.
If his grab would have worked, he won. I'd guess the limitations of the game prevent that on an enemy of that size.
@@Orphim nah the grabs were working, its just grabs cannot connect if the ennemy is staggered, which Theodorix was always staggered when Hoarah Loux did them, its was simply very poor rng for the chad, he can win this fight, but Rng wasn't with him this time around

Rykard/snake : "my lava pool can kill anything easily"
Theodorix : "hold my beer"
I think the Placidusax and Maliketh fight most of all show just how far you can go as a brute force lava spewing machine that doesn't stand on ceremony
The Placidusax comeback was looking real promising
in terms of physiology, these Wyrms are probably best equipped for combat out of all of Elden Rings Dragon Species...
-they are incredibly resistant to Heat... figures
-their backs are covered in thick spiny scales
-their mouths exude burning hot magma that they can drool everywere
-they are capable of wielding weapons - and since tool-use is an indication of advanced intelligence, they are probably able to plot and predict
-and the way their body is build their soft underside is pressed against the ground, so you cannot easily injure them there
in real life these beasts would be a nightmare to go up against with medieval combat tools
Boss: Deals poise damage
Maliketh The Black Blade: ''Ah shit, here we go again.''
Edit: Elden Beast dismantled him beautifully. Countered every single thing he did. And we're so proud of Mohg for being the only non-Malenia humanoid to win this fight.
😂😂😂 True story
If Godfrey’s grabs worked, he would have folded theodorix.
@@genghiskhan6809 folded no but yes he would've won
Poise wasn't an issue for Maliketh here. Maliketh didn't get poise break at all, Cleargyman did right at the end of his phase. But Maliketh just got his hp depleted.
@@genghiskhan6809 His grabs work. Just not on things twelve times his size.
Everyone seems to hate on Elden Beast but for a dual stage boss fight with a human sized and giant enemy type it's the best giant enemy fight in the game in terms of how varied and unique its move-set is. Sucks you can't ride Torrent for the fight but it doesn't take away from the awesome design.
Theodorix mechanics are so on point. Geezes.
Keep up whatever setup you use because it's the best I've seen with these matches
Placi got his ass handed to him. WTF. But the real shocker was Maliketh.
Handed? Placi almost clutched the fight with less than one shot away from death💀
Watching all these matchups makes me wonder about some sort of Frankenstein'd boss of bosses: laser attack, lava-spew charge, mid-health meteor attack, lifesteal... truly a nightmare to imagine.
Something like that would be the true potential of Grafting...good thing Godrick is an idiot and barely scratched the surface or he might have been an endgame boss
Even though his first form is obviously the most powerful The second form introduces that giant slam which is almost as much as godfey Earth attacks
I have NEVER seen a magma wyrm do the actual magma guillotine animation that Theodorix did during the Morgott fight. They're my favorite enemy in the game and get I had no idea they could do that.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 bravo! I definitely enjoyed the video, now I wonder how the Dragonkin soldier of Nokstella will do. Or as a funny joke video the sniper lobster XD
It'd be nice to get retries on bosses whenever one of the two gets stuck or derps out and ends in anticlimax. That fire giant fight kinda killed the mood when the great wyrm sat there and attacked air for half the fight while getting pummeled.
i agree, but not with your exemple, theodorix didnt 'sat there' he has low poise and kept getting down, then up swing and miss bcse the fire giant has more range and then get down again.
I was pretty happy about it. I love when the Fire Giant smacks op bosses
Seriously, the wyrms in second phase need a god damn miracle to beat a simple Tarnished Noble.
Those two gatekeepers in Raya Lucaria's entrance could beat the Wyrm in second phase from full health.
I just love how the end of the sword swing the wyrms do still hits like a truck, even though the blade is almost immobile xD
😂😂😂 Gideon screaming "i need help" never gets old
Great video!! Id love to see Erdtree avatar's against bosses! Some of those variants are tough
15:08
Placidusax: You are a dragon. More dragon than I.
nice video guy🤩
Best video I've seen on this channel.
It’s a good day when you upload
So the first Elden Lord before the Erdtree, Placidusax, Lord of Dragons can be killed by a wannable dragon that used to be a random Tarnished. Why don’t we Tarnished all become dragons and rule the Land Between.
Sounds like a good plan to me
@@BjornTheBear Wait, I just re-read the lore. Theodorix used to be a troll, not a Tarnished. Damn, did a troll really become Dragonlord?
Yeah, because this game doesn't have any common sense. Instead of making lore-accurate strong main bosses, that are implied to be unnaturally powerful, they make them weak asf and instead make some random-ass mobs and side bosses the strongest enemies in the game. Just ridiculous.
Theodorix is so big, Placidusax actually bounced off of him during is dive at 14:15. Also, I love the way Hoarah Loux's stomp lined up with Theodorix's ground slam at 28:40. One, the timing was great and it visually made his sword attack look way more impactful.
Loved the break dance battle with the fire giant.
This is so weird to me since I tricked him into a street fight with three land octopi and they were kicking his ass for most of that fight. Funny how things work out.
How about the two Astels vs. all the main bosses?
I agree for the Astels it would be interesting
Those consecrated field octopuses deal a ton of damage and they each have like 15k hp. And there's 3 of them.
@@pinkvillafantasy yea those octopi has good damage resistence too. Plus it can heal by self cannibalization😂
I'm pretty sure that I have a recording of those three killing him without my involvement aside from luring them into infighting. However its VERY RNG dependent on if they even get him to phase 2, let alone outright kill him.
That jump attack on Morgott tho! I never seen him do that before, he dropped his sword and held it in is mouth then jumped to headbutt Morgott
Elden Beast : There is no greater Wyrm than I.
Theodorix : CLEARLY
I'm thinking some minor bosses like Loretta from haligtree could be added to this. I mean you have astel, so try Loretta (haligtree version) for example. Just a suggestion.
Astel is a Remembrance boss
That was great, love how close the last one was.
Gotta schedule a rematch between Theo and Placi, that was some high tier battle of dragons.
I would love to see more fights with the nokstella dragonkin!
Omg mohg stunning Theo out of that huge slam attack was crazy
The start of the first fight looked like a freaking Monster Hunter turf war and I'm ALL for it.
...Man, Elden Beast really took that Wyrm's existence personally, I've never seen it be anywhere NEAR that aggressive.
Yes! My favorite big pet lizard. Magma wyrms might not be the bestest, but they are the petsest.
Magma wyrms are just those kids that heard "The Floor is Lava" and said "I'M TAKING YOU WITH ME"
suddenly the effects of over-indulging in dragon communion don't seem so bad
It was so nice to see Theo and the Guardian Golem take a lil nap together. ❤
Theo when he goes “block this overhead”
I guess roiling magma is no match for boiling blood.
Presumably Elden Beast took it personally because it heard that the magma wyrm constantly runs around the arena too and wouldn't stand for it.
That fire giant fight was sick!
You should try the Baleful Shadow, it has Blaidd's moveset but with destined death
Honestly that last part where theodorix fought horah loux in melee combat was epic, albeit short.
Yay! Theodorix! You may never be a real dragon, but at least you got vengeance on one.
Hey Bjorn, i got a weird question: is it possible to untangle Rykard to see how long his body is?
I like how he just lays down after annihilating his foe
From 14:27 and 30 seconds forward is one of the greatest things ive seen in a game, looks way better than some huge budget movies.
Gideon's "i need help" will never not be hilarious.
Where is that sample from by the way?
Radahn will never cease to disappoint.
Man should just stick with his bow.
lol I actually tensed up for the finish of the Hoarah Loux fight.
The fire giant is just another pub waiter that had to deal with yet another drunk. Everytime he swings that tray, you can see him mumbling "have you had enough yet?"
Elden beast said oh no motherfucker not today and went sweaty mode
Laser Golem, Fire Giant, Elden Beast, and Malenia were the only one to put this Newly Crowned Wyrmlord to its place.
Also, Mogh.
@agentofchaos7456 Mohg has 80% fire resistance, not sure if he counts-
At this point i'm surprised demigods stayed alive for so long.
This thing did way better than I thought it would. I think Gideon actually did need help, dude was melting.
Another idea you could do a vid on is teams of each province's strongest denizens duking it out. Like maybe the 5 or 10 strongest enemies in one continent vs the 5 or 10 strongest from another. For the lower level provinces could even have larger teams to help make up the difference against the higher level provinces.
Man a lot of people are overlooking the cinematic value of 17:20
That attack was perfectly executed and the Fire Giant’s reaction was on point!
Damn, if Placidusax hadn't decided to spawn back in right on the spot, instead of flying off, he would've won by a gnat's cock.
Mogh flying over that last magma attack and delivering the final blows is some G shit
How many videos have you done where you start with Rykard?
the funny thing about these videos (thanky you Bjorn) is that I actually see (understand) the moveset of many bosses, due to horrible camera set of this game (mamma mia!) I never fully understood what they were doing!
(by the way: I finshed the game 3 times, the first time (blind run) as lord of frenzied flame!
but understandin' less than half of the movements of the bosses, at least the bigger ones.
LOL. now with a camera panned far away from them I see what they are doing :P)
Shoutout to my favourite boss melter, the magma wyrm scalesword! Never gets enough love but boy does it wreck
Love that Theo fought Loux with melee. Epic ending!
Watching such monstrously strong bosses fight is so entertaining, no wonder Pokémon is so popular!
Some of these fights are like straight up from godzilla vs king kong movie. Especially the first one vs rykard.
I liked this video. Theo actually let every boss gett their moves out. Maliketh seems like huge rng tho.
This guy guarding the Elden blade is more of a threat than most bosses
first time ive ever noticed that rennala's robes actually get wet when she gets knocked into the water, nice little detail
Morgott: You shall not be forgiven.
Theodorix: Maybe you can find all my cares in this MOLTEN LAVA!
Dammit man Radahn might have had a chance if he hadn't gotten hit by the ridiculously slow overhead
What is the "I NEED HELP" voice line from?
How awesome would it have been if they gave us the "evasive manoeuvres" slash as the WA instead of the guillotine slam with the weapon they use? Lol. I said it before in an earlier vid, super cool they gave him a unique model from the other magma wyrms. Also I've never seen that jump attack he uses in Morgott's fight at 8:11. Cool.
tbh the slam is incredibly potent in pve and will just melt anything that sit inside in the lava pool on top of being hit
