Fantastic work! everything is moving along at quite the lively pace now!... I work in a store here in QLD so i'd like to offer my 2 cents regarding the mag fed Buckmaster and 308 Chimera, with regards to the Buckmaster, I'm not sure what exactly was the issue with mag fed Turkish shotguns, but they just do not like to work in my experience, and I think the amount of sub $500 mag fed shotguns sitting on store shelves testifies to this, I test fired a Pardus just today that had all 3 major malfunctions one after the other, failure to feed, failure to fire and failure to eject, the market is already skeptical of their reliability, this one has to work otherwise you're just tarnishing the name. With regards to the 308 magazines, I feel as though it would be more beneficial for the longevity of this endeavor to wait until you have a design that accepts 308 PMAGS, one of the biggest advantages of 223 pump actions like the Taipan, WFA1 and Oceania is their use of standard, off the shelf PMAGS, a major selling point of the Chimera 223 is that it also accepts these standard magazines, plus makes for faster follow ups, by having a proprietary single stack you're eliminating one of the biggest selling points of the rifle entirely. who will want a 10 shot 308 where they're constantly having to repack mags because no one had the correct ones for sale? and if you aren't shooting enough bullets to warrant a mag swap, why wouldn't you just buy a traditional bolt action, I just don't think it hits your target demographic correctly unless the rifle can have both faster follow ups and standardized magazines. otherwise, I'm extremely excited to get my hands on them all!

The first to market takes the cake, even if it is not the best....bushmeister etc 😉. There will be a chance for a gen 2 at some point, and I hope we can go down the route of Pmags then. But as I said, I hear what you say and certainly would love to bring one to market as you described it. Give me some more time. Bastian

Look at how Beretta BRX1 or Blaser R8 do it.. it’s thicker and more solid. 1:10 twist works well for 308W. You might actually be able to use the same 1:10 twist 308 barrel for 300BLK (obviously with the 300BLK chamber). Most 300BLK are like 1:6 or 1:7 twist which is needed for 200-200 grain subsonic ammo. Yes, hope to have them available in the second shipment, Octoberish. 3. Maybe but currently unlikely as new calibres require a fair bit of r&d and paperwork. .308 chimera needs sr25 pmags. A different handguard that actually allows for mounting of lights, laser aiming modules, qd sling sockets etc is a must these days. How’s NSW approval for the stockade going?
They have been registered in NSW already, so we have no concerns with any state for that matter. The other suggestions are good to and we certainly will continue to working on them. Just give it some time
It's a shame as it will be the only reason I won't buy one, definitely need double stack mags!! I'm happy to wait and will be if a gen 2 comes out in 223 I'll buy one.
Very happy with the LH option and I will definitely be picking up a 308. If there was FDE available, I'd probably choose that. Looking forward to seeing future options like an M-Lok barrel shroud or even a timber version. Cheers!
I have the buckmaster PB12 shot gun, which I really like but here's some feedback. When having the gun cleaned at the shop the ball bearing and spring holding the cocking lever came out and had to be fixed. Then they had to replace the complete spring reloading system. Then the crappy rear ring site was removed along with the original picatinny rail which kept moving, now an aluminium rail has been tapped and bolted to the receiver to stop movement. Red dot fitted. The latest is I had to replace gas piston oring set. I've shot about 500 rounds between ipsc and hunting but it seems something goes wrong every shot. Was looking at the .308 and extending my pb12 magazine but really not convinced on the quality. I'm going hunting for a week shortly and if there's any issues that will be the end for me and buckmaster. Hope you guys have done quality checks on the new line-ups!
Thanks mate for the feedback. Unfortunately, I can't talk about your specific case as it must have been handled by Hunts Shooting Supplies, the former importer. I am aware of multiple changes since the buck master was released, and some of those changes were driven by us of late with the release of the Gen 2. Just to give you and other readers an idea of warranty repairs, the repair rate of the buck master gen 1 is estimated to be around 4%, which is right on the average repair rate of gas operated shotguns, however with our changes to date and additional changes that are still to come, we expect to have a leading rate of 1.5%. Keep in mind, rates are firearm or product specific, whereas thermal and night vision might have 7-30% repair rates other, we had rates of 100% for some products. We are always working hard on helping manufacturers to reduce the repair rates as we have to fork out a large chunk of that bill. So we always run the numbers and try to identify reoccurring issues and fix those. May this be through end consumer training on how to maintain their firearm or improving the design or quality of materials.
@@AustralianSportingAgencies i was handling the last of the gen 1 buck masters at my local shop wile haveing a talk with the store man and in the process of working the action testing the trigger the rear sight fell apart there on the shop floor i said to the guy that i would be very interested in one when they come out with a 10 round tube or the option to extend to 10 or more IPSC rules let you come to the line with 9 in the gun for most classes and 14 for some. it would be good if your tube guns come with the ability to "add " even more tube extenders i know most dont have them cant get them but being able to put them on for those who do would do no damage to the gun or your brand and becomes a Intervisual person and state issue by this i mean use a std thread cap on the end the tube and no internal rib to hold the springs in
So far they are legal in NSW, Vic and Qld. Once we register them in other states, I will update the website accordingly, but for that, I have to have them here landed and registered.
Great video mate, thanks for the updates. Will the 10 shot magazine for the buckmaster be NSW compliant. Also can you speak for the reliability of the magazine fed buckmaster, did you have any issues cycling ammo when using it? Cheers.
Agreed. I have an unrelated question, sorry to hijack your post. Back story first question later. I go fox driving in Victoria in the winter months so I appreciate the all matte black PB12. I am waiting on a PTA for a brand new second-hand gen 1... yes I know I'm late to the party. My issue is the atrocious muzzle heavy nature of the 28" barrel version as I prefer a more neutral balanced to my guns. Question time, is it possible to fill what I assume is a hollow stock with epoxy resin or similar without any nasty chemical reactions taking place? Cheers, Dave.
Black bolt and trigger You mentioned that the 308 magazine could be a copy of a common magazine. Is that still the case? Have you got any estimate weights of the rifles? I appreciate the video update!
Hi mate, yes it is currently being investigated if we can use an existing mag such as a Remington single stack. I will have to get back to you on the weight.
Also, Pmag would be ideal for the 308. They are plentiful and cheap. You'll benefit in the long run to redesign the receiver to suit a double stack. I understand this would incur a higher cost but shooters will pay for a firearm that is practical. Could an AICS pattern work in this action? It's a double stack single fed magazine. They are also plentiful. @@AustralianSportingAgencies
Looks great, would still really like to see a timber stock with old school iron sights for a quick handy scrub gun that you don't need to worry about hurting
Yes the 1 in 10 for the 308 would be better than 1 in 12. Also will they be available standard with the tactical collapsible stock? Will it come standard for the 308 with 2 10 round magazines. How much will the pitcanniny rail cost,?? Thank you.
Hi mate, it will be a 1/10 twist. Yes, they will be available in all stock configurations. They will come with 1 mag, but you can add to it. We are working on making it a 10 round double stack, but we have to redesign a bit to make it happen.
Great to see all of these firearms. With regard to the .308 version, the 1 in 12" barrel twist will still stabilize any 180grn lead core bullets. Personally, I would prefer a threaded 20" long barrel with no M/Brake. Regards Johno
The 7 and 10 round tubes (plan on upgrading my gen 1 buckmaster) aren't on the website yet. When will they be available ? and confirming they will fit on the tactical version of the Gen 1 Pb12 ?
I'm so torn. A 10 round tube fed 12g would be an awesome upgrade from my T1000 with its stingey 4+1. That said, the detachable box mags on the tactical version would be ticking all of the "rule of cool" boxes. Anyone have any feedback on which setup is better for hunting? Just rabbits at the moment, but who knows what else I might get the chance to introduce it to? Having a massive box mag hanging out to fumble or catch on stuff when trying to be sneaky /as you get out of the ute is kind of one consideration. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
^^ spot on - I actually prefer the mag-fed just to keep the weight down out front. Have a couple of older lever actions and when you have 8 shells of BB riding up the length of the barrel... you're inevitably slower on target. Front-heavy.
Thanks for the question Jordan. As of now, shotguns other than semi or lever are Cat A shotguns, hence can have 10 or in some cases more rounds. Unless they are changing the law, the buck master mag feds are fine just like straight pull mag fed shotguns. Do I know if they will ban the mechanism all together.....no, I have no idea. If they do, it will be significantly more expensive for them than it was with the Adler given that we have probably 20k units in circulation already. So all I can say is...buy as many as possible as it reduces the risk of a ban or change of the law.
Sebastian, just a questionson the folding stock of the Chimera. Does it lock open without any appreciable wiggle. A little concerned as this could affect accuracy otherwise.
Just to clarify, the stock locks in the open and closed position. In the open position you can just flick it back to closed. In closed, you need to raise the stock to unhinge it. Either way it sits solid in place.
Give me a week, I am just awaiting the pricing for the tube magazines and then I will make them live on celikarms.au. So check in by end of next week please.
I have some serious doubts about the rigidity of that thin new picatinny rail on the Chimera 223. I'd wager even a small amount of pressure on the rear of the scope or rail would affect the scopes alignment with the bore.
It's hard to see, but when you have it in your hands and see how it is keyed into the receiver, you will have no concerns. To be honest, if I was concerned, I would have changed it, but after seeing it in person and the accuracy we achieved. I have no doubts. I hear your point tho, valid concern.
We might be there, we wanted to show the Eureka, Buck Master and Chimera off, but unsure at this point if we can make it, but thanks for asking. I'll try
1/10 twist would be my preference. Mlok Forend would be great and if the grip and buttstock were interchangeable with standard AR parts would be awesome
Might as well make an AR shotty 😀 jokes aside, I know what you mean, and we will have a cool forend. Finally, I might have found the guy who can design it :) stay tuned, more to come
Approval is given when the first gun makes it to NSW as only a NSW dealer can request the categorisation. The Chimera and buck master are already in NSW, so there is no issue. The buck master Gen 2 M won't be an issue either. The eureka is only facing difficulties because of the design close to military guns whereas the Chimera and buck master are hunting guns.
My concern is the piccatinny rail looks susceptible to bending, especially with a big scope on it. It is a very long thin piece holding the wieght of a scope entirely by tesnional strength, ie no support at the reciever end.
Hi Mate, I understand your concerns, I haven't shown properly the exact mounting of the pic rail into the receiver. The Pic rail is keyed into the receiver and when you have the pic rail in your hands, you will see and feel that it is solid. I had no concerns whatsoever when I tested them. I will make sure to make another video when they arrive to show the strength and exact system if that helps to mitigate any concerns.
@AustralianSportingAgencies Thanks for your awsome response. I understand how that works now. I guess it's only if something happens when the barrels out. And it would be from some type of accident or negligence as well. The 308 and mag shotie are on my radar FOR SHURE. (if my cars not dying 1st). I also wish there was a more Tacticool option. But also realise that with the anti gun government that SCARY guns are not gunna last long. Have you seen the latest Gel Blasters and Nerf guns. Scary stuff hey. I do gun Content on my channel. I would love some feedback ifen ya want to check it out. And OK stop pestering me! I'll do a review on them all. OK? Will that make you happy? Just send them on over and I'll do the stupid review OK. What now? Yes! I will review any accessories or ammunition that you want aswell. Gosh some people are hard to please.😉
Hi Matt, we do our best to quote an achievable timeline. However, customs and police tend to not play by the rules and sometimes need longer than expected. In some cases there are also no planes available for that week or fortnight. If you want to be sure, wait until they landed. I am sure that we will give a 2 week heads up as well if that suits you better. Cheers
Charging handle and ejection port should be on the left side to make it a true left hander, I look for this attention to detail for a purchase.. anyway thanks for trying to accommodate left handers, kudos
Hi mate, yes absolutely agree. The challenge as manufacturer to accommodate a true left hand set up on a gas gun, is actually very significant. All of the major parts need to be changed and redesigned, tested and then manufactured. As a result the math doesn't stack up. This means you either charge lefties heaps more or you make the whole gun more expensive for roughly 10% of sales, hence there is always a financial bias towards either not offering a solution at all or thinking of options to make it work with minimal changes. I know that doesn't help you, and I agree it's a shit situation for any lefty. Just thought I give a bit more detail on why we only change the forend and can't offer a true left-hand gun.
Bastion, we are extremely excited about the 308 version as all of us out here are primary producers and a 223 is not an option. Will the 308 have a decent barrel length for good ballistics? 20 inch? And pmag compatibility to interchange with our cat D firearms?
Hi mate, the current version will not have a double stack mag, so Pmags are out. In terms of barrel, the current barrel is 18.5 inch. But it seems based on the comments that people would like other options too. I will start looking into it. What would be your choice?
@@AustralianSportingAgencies Thanks for your reply mate. Look we are primary producers, and 16" barrels are too short, deafen people and dogs and piss off chopper pilots. Blast diverters are gimmicks, we have used and ditched them. 24" is too long. 20" is a great compromise because we use the 308 cartridge because 223 is not suitable for us, and we can get almost all the ballistic performance of 308 in 20". IMHO. We already use autoloading 308's and they cannot be used anywhere other than the properties they are permitted on, and nobody without Cat D can touch them, so a button release will allow us to help on other farms, and allow workers to use them on our places too. The P-Mag thing, sorry to be blunt, but the extra expense and fragility of a proprietary mag has been built in already and should not have (did you design a non-AR mag for the 223, no of course not), and the extra time spent to change the design slightly is not relevant (already solved in all AR10 manufacturers now because they are cheap and foolproof) . Obviously the decision has been made and that is why the better option isn't going to be used, but you will regret this decision from a sales and marketing POV. Also, having owned CNC machine shops ourselves, the extra billet material is literally a few $ but offset by the $25 cost of a 10 shot P-Mag to buy in and not have a proprietary fragile steel one as an Achilles heel, the CNC program change required is simplicity itself, and if the action will get too wide, funny how it's not so for everyone using SR25 and PWS MK216's now in Aus. Nobody would dream of designing the 223 without a P-Mag, and the 308 is no different. Please don't make the 308 poor 2nd cousin when it really is the most important of the two. If you made this change, you will have a winner, without, well... I know I have buckleys here, but there you go, I tried. Don't hate me.
What the realistic chances of all these button release actions being banned aus wide in the next few years… just got a t2000 and can’t say it’s not on my mind
Every gun sold is one more reason they won't ban them. Think of it this way. Gun bans are expensive, so if you do it, you better get more votes than spendi g that same money on anything else. So buy more to reduce the chance of a ban.
DISAPOINTED the 308 won't come std with ar10 pmag compatible this should be what your looking for their readily available in aus at affordable prices things like this with standalone mags put the price up like the new Winchester pump 308s where the magazines are 150$ ++ same with the new ARTTECH 308 again single use magazines
We are trying to redesign to AR10 mags, but I am awaiting final confirmation that it can be done. If the receivers need to be widened than the costs go up and I am really trying to prevent that.
They have been in the market for 6 years now and about 15-20k units have been sold in Australiaacross all suppliers.....so the chances are getting lesser by the day. That said, you never know what they are cooking up. 😢
The extra material would be only a matter of a few dollars for a wider reciever 308 so that it accepts proven double stack 10-shot pmags... rather than ones nearly twice as long and brand-specific. When designing a new firearm , why cut corners and have to make another part? The width of AR10 platforms that accept pmags (who would EVER imagine anyone changing the best option) perfectly acceptable... we all know the bastardry with the 7600's and their proprietary awful magazines. You will really hobble this rifle if you do not pick the pmags as you have in the 223.

ALso a great idea for a brush gun
.308 chimera needs sr25 pmags.
Just give it some time
@@AustralianSportingAgencies sorry I was referring to the eureka stockades nsw approval not the chimera
Definitely look into changing rhe mags. AICS or Pmag. Yes it would bulk it out a little, but theyre just so much better and common.
I hear you, we will see what a gen 2 can do and if it is feasible. But don't expect it in the next 12-18 months.
It's a shame as it will be the only reason I won't buy one, definitely need double stack mags!! I'm happy to wait and will be if a gen 2 comes out in 223 I'll buy one.
The .223 has Pmags, the .308 doesn't at this point.
Very happy with the LH option and I will definitely be picking up a 308. If there was FDE available, I'd probably choose that. Looking forward to seeing future options like an M-Lok barrel shroud or even a timber version. Cheers!
Cheers mate, all in the making 😂
@@AustralianSportingAgencies i was handling the last of the gen 1 buck masters at my local shop wile haveing a talk with the store man and in the process of working the action testing the trigger the rear sight fell apart there on the shop floor i said to the guy that i would be very interested in one when they come out with a 10 round tube or the option to extend to 10 or more IPSC rules let you come to the line with 9 in the gun for most classes and 14 for some. it would be good if your tube guns come with the ability to "add " even more tube extenders i know most dont have them cant get them but being able to put them on for those who do would do no damage to the gun or your brand and becomes a Intervisual person and state issue by this i mean use a std thread cap on the end the tube and no internal rib to hold the springs in
Definitely paint the silver black.
Any information on if it’s legal in all states and if not which states are not legal in?
So far they are legal in NSW, Vic and Qld. Once we register them in other states, I will update the website accordingly, but for that, I have to have them here landed and registered.
Will the PB12M work with existing Turkish magazines like from the Berika straight pull? Keep up the awesome work! Cheers
Still trying to work this out but I believe so
Great video mate, thanks for the updates.
Black bolt and trigger
You mentioned that the 308 magazine could be a copy of a common magazine. Is that still the case?
Have you got any estimate weights of the rifles?
I appreciate the video update!
Hi mate, yes it is currently being investigated if we can use an existing mag such as a Remington single stack. I will have to get back to you on the weight.
@@AustralianSportingAgencies thank you mate
@@AustralianSportingAgenciesAICS single stack mags?
Also, Pmag would be ideal for the 308. They are plentiful and cheap. You'll benefit in the long run to redesign the receiver to suit a double stack. I understand this would incur a higher cost but shooters will pay for a firearm that is practical.
Could an AICS pattern work in this action? It's a double stack single fed magazine. They are also plentiful.
@@AustralianSportingAgencies
@@Magnumexpress87 I hope to know more in the next few weeks, I will ask about the AICS mags, thanks for the question
Looks great, would still really like to see a timber stock with old school iron sights for a quick handy scrub gun that you don't need to worry about hurting
Cheers mate, I'll see what I can do
I second that, im definitely a traditional guy and don't buy a gun without iron sights
Being a shotgun you only need a front sight
I think they mean the chimera rifle@@tallboy49

Also, is there any plans for the Chimera in camo as shown in the video?
I knew that this question was coming. Yes, I am planning to also offer a camo but that will be in the second shipment.
@@AustralianSportingAgencies Thanks mate, appreciate the prompt response.
I would like to see a longer barrel option for the .308
I'll see what we can do.
Will the Buck Master cycle 28g target loads?
What barrel lengths will there be for the mag fed?
And is a 10 round mag legal in NSW? I sure hope so 🙏
Yes will cycle 28. Yes will be legal in NSW depending the stock configuration. 28, 20, 16 inch. Make sure your barrel and overall length is NSW legal.
Pic rail is included by design.
Great to see all of these firearms. With regard to the .308 version, the 1 in 12" barrel twist will still stabilize any 180grn lead core bullets. Personally, I would prefer a threaded 20" long barrel with no M/Brake. Regards Johno
Maybe in the future
The 7 and 10 round tubes (plan on upgrading my gen 1 buckmaster) aren't on the website yet. When will they be available ? and confirming they will fit on the tactical version of the Gen 1 Pb12 ?
Yes they will fit. We are just awaiting the exact pricing and will publish them then. Should be done next week.
Yes they will fit. We are just awaiting the exact pricing and will publish them then. Should be done next week.
keen to see how the mag feed goes, will likely replace my berika with it
Sounds great. 😅
You could go with the mag fed 5 round mag. Not too long and still a quick swap. Just thinking out loud. That way you can also keep the gun short.
^^ spot on - I actually prefer the mag-fed just to keep the weight down out front. Have a couple of older lever actions and when you have 8 shells of BB riding up the length of the barrel... you're inevitably slower on target. Front-heavy.
I'm really keen on the buckmaster tactical magazine fed shotty.
1. When will it be available in South Australia?
2. What's the cost?
My bad.
I just went to your website and have everything I need to know.
I think I'll order one.
GREAT JOB BRO!
Hi Bastion. Regarding buck master, how do we know that weapons licensing won't ban them in future? I can't imagine they like the mag capacity?
Thanks for the question Jordan. As of now, shotguns other than semi or lever are Cat A shotguns, hence can have 10 or in some cases more rounds. Unless they are changing the law, the buck master mag feds are fine just like straight pull mag fed shotguns. Do I know if they will ban the mechanism all together.....no, I have no idea. If they do, it will be significantly more expensive for them than it was with the Adler given that we have probably 20k units in circulation already. So all I can say is...buy as many as possible as it reduces the risk of a ban or change of the law.
@@AustralianSportingAgencies Thanks for the reply. Looking forward to the Gen 2, I will pick one up.
How can i purchase the 10+ tube magazine for the pb12 gen1?.
The .308 needs 1 in 10 twist with magazines compatible to the already available types
Will this be at the shot show? I vote all black too.
We might be there, we wanted to show the Eureka, Buck Master and Chimera off, but unsure at this point if we can make it, but thanks for asking. I'll try
@@AustralianSportingAgencies Thanks mate. I hope you are.
The rest of my Turkish guns want a new sibling or two.
1/10 twist would be my preference. Mlok Forend would be great and if the grip and buttstock were interchangeable with standard AR parts would be awesome
Might as well make an AR shotty 😀 jokes aside, I know what you mean, and we will have a cool forend. Finally, I might have found the guy who can design it :) stay tuned, more to come
Hey Bastian , how far off NSW approval are you and do you think the Eureka been knocked back will affect its approval
Cheers, how far off at chimeras been in people's hands?
Will the mag fed 12g Buck Master take the same magazines as the Berika/Adler? I look forward to your reply.
We will know at the latest when they land, but I will try to find out prior
Honestly a fan of the silver chrome, You see LMT doing it and I think its just more visually appealing.
Nah!
Silver looks good
Cheers
Black all the way
My concern is the piccatinny rail looks susceptible to bending, especially with a big scope on it.
Would like to know it's true ETA to being able to be bought.
I had my PTA expire waiting for one through customs.
Cheers
Does the shotgun come with rifled barrel for slugs?…….
No, the buckmaster is not available with a rifled barrel. However, you can shoot slugs through a smooth bore barrel.
Is the shotgun 16 inch barrel NSW compliant?……..
No, in NSW a shotgun has to have a barrel length greater than 45cm and 16inch is about 41cm.
can you use sr25 mags on the 308
No, not as it is currently designed. Doesn't mean we won't do it in another generation but don't hold your breath just yet.
Black all the way tac version 👍🏻
The barrels look thin, do they heat up quickly?
They are the standard barrel, they heat up like they always do?!

:/ As if you could "surprise" someone with one in this country.
Takes weeks of application and waiting for approval, by the intended owner
What about longer barrel options ?
What do you have in mind?
@AustralianSportingAgencies maybe up to 22 and 24 inch
308 in 1-10 and a barrel with something like a 450 bushmaster
Working on it! Stay tuned
Thanks for the replies…..keep up the good work!……
I wrote Santa for one!!………..
I’ll hold out for the traditional timber stock version…..
You can purchase them already, but they are synthetic timber as the forend mechanism does not allow for us to use real timber.
@@AustralianSportingAgencies…… in that case I vote for black on black, stock and metal!!……….

1 : 12 308win. ACIS mags don't do proprietary mags. We've all got aics and ar mags already.
I hear you, might be a gen 2 version.
The 308 needs to be 1:10. More hunting options that way.
Sounds good!
Totally agree, we'll said!
❤
What the realistic chances of all these button release actions being banned aus wide in the next few years… just got a t2000 and can’t say it’s not on my mind
Every gun sold is one more reason they won't ban them. Think of it this way. Gun bans are expensive, so if you do it, you better get more votes than spendi g that same money on anything else. So buy more to reduce the chance of a ban.

Silver for sure
I would also prefer to add my own rail
Sorry mate, if you refer to the Chimera, it won't be possible as it ensures accuracy. Sorry, it is just a trade off
Vote for silver bolt and trigger.
ADD TO CART
From past experience I would not buy a 308 with less than 20in barrel otherwise looking good.
Because it wasn't accurate or too loud?
DISAPOINTED the 308 won't come std with ar10 pmag compatible this should be what your looking for their readily available in aus at affordable prices things like this with standalone mags put the price up like the new Winchester pump 308s where the magazines are 150$ ++ same with the new ARTTECH 308 again single use magazines
We are trying to redesign to AR10 mags, but I am awaiting final confirmation that it can be done. If the receivers need to be widened than the costs go up and I am really trying to prevent that.
These firearms will likely prompt further restrictions
Seconding this
I hear you mate and see what can be done.
