    Hybrid Picking Course Outline countryguitaronline.com/countr...
    Lesson ID: A0121
    This is the first guitar lesson in a series of videos where we’ll be showing y’all how to make your rhythm guitar sound country with hybrid picking. In this lesson, I’ll teach you a really useful hybrid picking pattern that can be applied to a ton of different country songs. This pattern will help get you comfortable using your pick in combination with the middle and ring fingers of your right hand. As we progress through this course, we’ll increase the hybrid picking difficulty and we’ll take a look at several different patterns that sound great in country, bluegrass, and folk music.

    Awesome teaching! Thanks for posting. Having played a classical guitar for 20 years, I just bought my first time ever acoustic Yamaha. This is a totally different world. Lovely stuff to learn.

      Yeah, Tony, I just found Devin a day or two ago. I've been lamenting for quite a while that there is little instruction on the web for Country music. Then I find Devin and he seems more than I could have hoped for. I think I've found my home.

    I just use my thumb and index finger with or without using a wide thumb pick and I have no certain matter if and when I use up and down strumming method is never the same. Willie Nelson says it keeps him out of a rut and that to this day he discovers a new sound and he does the same with chord progressions.

    It's just a great challenge to my own mind and fingers. We'll done, it does really works. I jiat got a question to the author, why you dont use fifth string when you playing G chord? The same about C chord as well. Is it any particular reason or its just about your choice (habbit). With best regards, Aleksandr. Patiently waiting for your answer.

    Hello do you have a DVD of lessons?

    • @countryguitaronline
      @countryguitaronline  5 лет назад

      You can stream them all at countryguitaronline.com in the member area. We don't have a DVD just because new lessons keep getting added to Country Guitar Online regularly and we prefer the subscription model like Netflix or Hulu.
