Knowing where to trim a beard neckline is something many guys struggle with, especially early in their days of having a beard. Getting this line wrong can leave you with a chinstrap, while getting it right can help your beard look much fuller.
Do NOT trim your beard at your jawline! This is a common mistake and it's MUCH too high for a full beard.
You really want to trim your beard neckline where your head connects to your neck. These additional hairs under your jaw and on your neck will help your beard grow in much fuller.
Getting this line right is important early on, and will only be more dramatic as your beard grows long.
If your beard is short, you can look down and see where your head creases on your neck to get a good baseline but a good rule of thumb is to go just above your adams apple.
Take your time and use a good set of electric beard trimmers to work from the middle to the sides of your neck. When you get to the corners you can square them off, or round them depending on your personal preference of beard style. Don't hesitate to hit us up if you have any specific questions!
Our mission is to help beardsmen look, feel and be their best. All of our beard products are proudly made in the USA and backed by our 365-day money-back guarantee!

Great video! I've always used the crease that forms when I look down as a guide for where to trim my neckline. I trim a straight line down from the back of my sideburns then slightly round the sharp corner that forms. It's a fool proof way to trim a beard neckline because of natural guides you can use!

Great video! I recently trimmed in a rush and screwed my neckline up bad. It is not to the point of shave and restart but it is darn close to a chin strap. My advice is to take your time trimming.

A real beard shouldnt be shaved, unless you are just going for a mustache. Just grow it out as naturally as possible. Look at all the beards during the Victorian period (1813-1914), especially during the civil war. It's just my personal preference

Tell you what I would love to see...
It's a big ask and it would be very hard to do, but, I would love to see you completely shave it and start from scratch, keeping a video diary of your progress back to the length the beard is now...
It would really be informative to see what you do on the journey, what products you use along the way and how you shape it etc etc...
