Meh, don't let the (occasional) lower FPS averages of the X3D fool you, the thing consistently has better 1% lows (stability), higher minimum FPS (stability again), lower RAM usage, lower power consumption and in turn lower temps
I Ended up ordering 5600X instead of 5700X3D (Upgrading from 2600 with 6700XT) used the spare money instead to buy me 4TB HDD for storage 👍 i think i would just use the PC for the next 2 or more years then jump the gun to AM5 or Latest again for better performance uplift
"Great purchase! I've been running two 5600s on rigs I built 2 years ago, and they still handle all my games flawlessly. Still waiting for a reason to upgrade."
If you will tune your RAM, you can get ~10% more fps and get very close to 5700X3D. Did the same upgrade path as you. 5600 is usually ~50% faster than 2600. This is a massive bump for a very small premium! 5600 is a must for any AM4 previous gen 6-core owner.
purchased the 5700x3d instead of getting the 7700x as it's on equal footing. I game in 1440 and 4k so this cpu over the 5600x offers better 1% lows and stutters in games which is what you should look at when gaming in higher resolution.
Minecraft depends more on the CPU than the GPU, and preferably has more cores, but why then even though the 7 5700x3d has more cores and is more powerful, HAS IT BECOME WORSE IN PERFORMANCE on minecraft?
What makes the 5700X3D perform better than other CPUs is its extra L3 cache. That creates a lot of heat though, so the engineers at AMD reduced the clock speed to compensate. Vanilla Minecraft is pretty poorly optimized and it's performance is mostly based on single-core clock speed, so it performs a little worse on the 5700X3D than the 5600X.
@@RealCrispyRice So Minecraft with optimization mods like Sodium or Optifine, the performance of the 7 5700x3d would be superior to the 5 5600? (Correct me if I've misunderstood, I don't speak English fluently)
I don't really know how those mods work, so I can't really say anything about how they would affect performance. I'm pretty sure the poor optimization of Minecraft is due to being written in Java, and mods also have to be written in the same language, so I'd assume the 5700X3D would still do worse. I could run another benchmark with those mods though in the future

5700X3D is a great buy only for those who have a cheap RAM kit and are not going to tune it. With decent and tuned RAM kit (like 3800MHz/CL15) 5600(X) gets very close to 5700X3D. For example, in HFW tuned RAM provides 15% boost to both averages and 1% lows. Only in games, that can utilize all 8 cores 5700X3D shows significant difference vs tuned 5600(X). P. S. For the owners of 5700X with tuned RAM 5700X3D is a waste.
Depends on the games you play. If you play mostly singleplayer games it'd be a waste of money imo. If you play a lot of FPS games at a high refresh rate then it'd be worth it.
@@RealCrispyRice Thanks. i usually play single player but i play a loto of fps campaign or games like starfield. There and in another games i see little stuttering or similar effect. @@luciofire83 the 5700x3d will offer better stability smootther experience and better fps drops than a 5600x. Those 1% low thought. That's a big increase in my book! Especially for VR where you want stability.
