Having watched a few journal construction videos this made the most sense to me. A straightforward and securest way of assembling. Nice clear demonstration too. Thank you very much. I might actually get around to doing my own now instead of "saving it for later".
I just wanted to thank you . I just made my first hidden spine journal. This video was so helpful!! My book isn’t perfect, but any mistakes were mine and I couldn’t have done it without this video. Thanks!
Instruction sooooooo easy to follow. I hate the binding showing on the spines and this is a super way to make your journals without it. Thanks so much for sharing this with us newbies.
Finding your video right now is so auspicious for me, Tracie. I've just finished watching the video where you attached your tabs, laces, tags, etc., which led me to your website. I knew there must be a process for attaching signatures in this way, but have never seen it done until now, which is just as I'm preparing my signatures for my first junk journal. So the timing and instruction are perfect for me! Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for this video. Your instructions and directions were so easy to understand and follow. You have certainly inspired me to start my first journal and I will have this video on stand-by to take me through each step. Thank you again!❣❣❣
Thank you for this...I've always wondered how some crafters can sew in their signatures without the stitches showing...now I know and will have to give it a go. xox
You make that look so easy thank you for showing how to put in a hidden spine. I will have a go at that one and see if it is easier for myself. Have a blessed day
I find this method so much neater than sewing into the spine, the calico warped slightly on the spine where I glued with fabritac but I'm sure I will get better at it,but thank you for your wonderful tutorials and taking us through the process 💕💕
I just found this in my searches for easier signature attachment. Super love it, and will definitely have to give it a try. I have the worst time trying to attach my signatures, and at same time keeping my pages from moving while doing so! Thank you for sharing. 😁 🥰
What a sweet sneeze! Bless you! When making mini albums, whether using fabric or paper, we use a bone folder while it is still wet to run along the crease and press the crease and the "flap" part that you said would buckle while opening and closing the book. I love the canvas binding method! TFS!!! Hugs!
Thank you Tracie. I'm new to journal making (in fact I've only just started my first one using a recycled book), and this is exactly what I was hoping to find. Beautiful work ❤
Really impressed..how delicate you made it and really really beautiful instructions…👌👌👌👌I just love it..you made it so easy …thank you so much ..for this video,,…..I love your accent really really beautiful..blessings 🙏🙏💞💞💕💞💞🌸🌸💞💞🌸💞💞💞💗💗💗💞🌿💞🌿💞🌿🤦🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🌻
I love your method of using the canvas and fabric covers and this is a lovely journal. I have a piece of crazy patch fabric that I sewed and this would be a special way to showcase it. Thank you for sharing.
I’m loving this series of videos showcasing your progression from start to finish of this journal!! Very informative. Again, you make it look so easy. Thanks, Tracie, you rock!! 💗
Thank you for sharing all the clear steps of your creative process! What a gorgeous journal! I was wondering if the journal opens flat when the signatures are glued to the spine instead of glueing only the side of the fabric to the end pages?
Love this and definitely going to try this. I have just made my first few junk journals and was frustrated with sewing them in, but this will definitely help. TFS!
Excellent tutorial Traci, I wish I would have done this with my Christmas journal! It needed 2 signatures but I only did one and it’s a very chunky monkey but next one, I will definitely try to do this! Tfs👩❤️👩👏🏼👏🏼
Thankyou so much for this wonderful tutorial Tracy!!!! I haven’t tried this yet but with watching your video, I’m feeling more confident to give it a go. 😊❤️xx
Thank you very much for these detailed instructions, Tracie! I’m curious if you had a measured distance between the signatures in your spine. Also I didn’t catch the overall dimensions of the size of this completed journal.
Thank you so much Tracie I really love 💕 this. It’s so clear and helpful and useful. You’re so talented and clever and I really love 💕 that journal 📓 it’s so awesome and beautiful xx Mags
