One of friends recommended me this a few years back on middle school. She was best friend and when school ended early due to COVID-19, I remember bawling our eyes out. I'm a senior high schooler now and I made new friends but I still think about them from time to time and how much fun I had hanging out with them. I met up with the friend who recommended this to me about 2-3 years ago and we reminisce a bit about our past and our lives now. After that, we lost contact with each other and I honestly never thought that was gonna be the last time we'll see each other and talk together. I kind of miss them

I look up.. not just at the sky but at heaven as well... I'm stargazing when i can see the stars... i look up... for the hope that he's still up there watching and still loving me... it's hopeless without him... i ended up hoping less.. I had our future planned... our whole lives planned out... i though we'd be together forever... people would say he was just a pet dog but to me he was like everything to me... i would not do my homework 99% of the time just to have more time to spend with him... almost failed my math class all because i wanted to be with him a lot more... he was another reason for me to keep living... he was someone to talk to when no one wanted to listen... he saved me many times before... he was my best friend and hero... without him i probably wouldn't be here... without him i probably would have done something that i would have later regret doing... I am in a good stable mindset all because of him making my bad/horrible days better... before i met him i had a somewhat unstable mindset... i used to stay up all night thinking about what people had said about me at school(back in elementry school).... sometimes i would have a negative thought pop into my head and imediatly feel worse about myself... when i met him it all had changed because he came out of a far worse situation than i ever experienced.. he became happy the day we took him into our home... he made me happier and got my attention off of those thoughts every single night... i haven't had any negative thoughts since 4th grade which was a little over 7 years ago and it's all because of him helping me... Now that he's dead i can't stop crying alone in my bedroom most nights... i sometimes just stay up thinking about him and some days i lose sleep thinking about him... i had saved him and in return he saved me... it's been over 14 months since he had died due to old age... (it was 2:31 a.m. when i wrote this and i couldn't sleep because i stayed up thinking about him again)
