The base/power of the kick is very important in this genre, just as much as the melody. But, if people are only paying attention to "dahn, dahn, dahn" or whatever, then they're just being petty and can't take distorted kicks. In other words, they shouldn't be listening to hardstyle...
He had so many non-hardstyle songs that were so good, it's a shame he's just going to let them go to waste by completely refusing to play anything else than hardstyle. I don't think anyone would mind if his sets were mixed with his prog. house/bigroom songs as well. :/
