I like this board. It may be simple in more than a few aspects, but it gets the job done very well! 😎
What are your thoughts on these new "X570S" motherboards, not just by ASRock? 🤔
If you own an X570 board, which one is it, and when did you purchase it? 😅

As an X570 chipset user on my Aorus X570i Pro Wifi motherboard and bought it at launch and NEVER experienced any fan noise from my chipset fan! I think it’s a lot of myth the supposed fan noise except on maybe a couple cheaper budget motherboard models on the market.

This board you are checking is lovely!

I have an AsRock X570 Phantom Gaming X, and it's chipset fan was making a lot of noise to my ears at least. I have modded it by replacing the thick chipset thermal pad, with 2 copper shims, quality thermal paste, and a very thin thermal pad touching the chipset now. The fan curve is set to off, until it hits 70C, where it goes to the lowest setting. Now my motherboard is very quiet!

Not having a chipset fan is no big deal. The fan on my MSI X570 Unify was quiet and seldom came on. That said, I removed the fan, installed a universal water block, and added it to my custom loop. Now the chipset never goes above 48c.

well that board also had it in an optimum placement. the TUF X570 from asus has it covered up by the gpu so even with a fan it still gets hot. sux. i wish'd i would have gotten the unify but it didn't come out till after i had made my purchase.

@@XX-121 Yeah, I know. I bought the X570 TUF first. Then I bought the Unify when it hit the market and put the Tuf in my girlfriend's PC. I also have an X570 Gigabyte X570 Aorus Pro Wi-Fi in another PC and a MSI b450 Carbon in my 4th system.

@@OlettaLiano hey let me ask you something, how's your memory OC on your TUF? i'm still running an old OLD bios, because every time a new ones released i go on reddit and everyone says how it messed up their memory OC and can't get it to run like it use to. I'd like to update my bios but i've got the crucial TUF memory that's rated at 3200 running at 3666 using settings from dram calc. and i see the proc boosting up to 4.5 on most of my cores except one. so i'd hate to mess that up because it's been stable since i've got it setup. i can game for hours on end and no problems. so idk. just checked it and i'm still on 1407 which cpuz says is from 04/01/2020 (april fools out of all days) only thing i complain about now is i'm running a 3800X which is suppose to be 3.9 base/4.5 boost but sometimes i'll see some of the cores drop down to 3.6 which pisses me off because that's the 3700X base clock, know what i'm sayin? but anyway let me know about your memory OC / bios situation if you can. thanks, peace.

@@XX-121 I have a Ryzen 2600 on the X570 Tuff mobo with 64GB of Teamgroup RAM running @ 3200 CL 16. That’s fine for my GF’s PC, as she don’t game on the system. She’s into content creation. The reason replaced Tuff for the Unify was because the Tuff wasn’t a very good overclocking board. That said, if you have 3200 RAM running stable at 3666 you’re doing fine, if the timings are not to bad. On my Unify I’ve running a Ryzen 3900X and have 32GB of Patriot Viper Steel Series 4400 CL19 tuned to 3800 with timings of 14-15-14-29-43-300 1T. The difference between 3200 and 3800 gaming on a 3440x1440 ultra wide was only 5 to 8 fps. So, overclocking RAM on Ryzen doesn’t offer much change. Get you timings as tight as you can and be happy with it. As for updating the BIOS on the Tuff board, I never had any problems with it. If you update you BIOS, make sure your PC is connected to a good USP, because the last thing you want while flashing the BIOS is a power outage or surge that shuts the PC off. I will almost always brick your board.

i think by now 3 years later your x570 mobo already became a ''S'' model if the fan stopped working lol

very good video (as always from you...) and i love the PCB design.
    2 questions:
Does turbo boost work "normally" (despite the mobo having only 10 phases) with your 5950x? (i mean do you reach 4.9Ghz? I dont care about overclocking if at leat turbo works properly)
And, is the logo on the x570s chipset cooling plate a mere sticker or is it some kind of integrated design to the cooling plate of the chipset? i dont really like the logotype lol)
Also, do you need if it is possible to boot from a SSD that would be in the second PCI gen4 slot (not the one of the graphic card, but the large one just below)

@@auntiepha8343 what about long term? when the chipset is running hotter than the processor and with minimal cooling? feel bad for the guys that bought the lower end MB's. including myself with the TUF X570. it's not built like the original TUF boards. (sabertooth's) heat is the worst enemy besides water for electronics. heat raises resistance which raises heat, which raises resistance, which... etc. guess we'll all find out eventually how well these boards are gonna hold out? guess you must be new to computers.

@@XX-121 I have been building computers for over 30 years. WTF are you going on about? 69c is not hot for a CPU. If you overclock HARD 69c is great. Long term use at 69c? The CPU will last longer than it will be worth using, probably 10 years easily. How long to you plan to use your CPU 15-20 years? You must be new to computers. PROTIP: Don't buy a cheap motherboard. If mine don't say ROG, I don't buy it.

ROG lol P.S. your "rog" board has a fan on the chipset too.
